KENZO Amour Eau De Parfum 50ml Spray

I'm so glad I finally found a place that carries Amour by Kenzo. This has been one of my all time favourites since its release in 2006. For a long time it was really difficult to get a hold of a bottle. I do most of my full bottle shopping here as the prices are often a lot better than my local stores offer. And shipping is fast. Amour is wonderful, soft and dreamy with beautiful white rice and vanilla as the background. Vanilla fans most likely will like or love this one. An underrated gem.

Kenzo amour like a lady has a Southeast Asian beauty. Surely you used to meet her somewhere but can not remember. Whenever I wear it, i feel more feminine, attractive, romantic, peaceful. Smell of rice, white tea, incense remind me about the Chinese New Year. Everywhere is the color of red, the lucky color and so mystery. This fragrance is soft or powerful depending on temperature. Cooler = more powdery, warmer = more musky. Very interesting.

I bought this to be a dupe for Hypnotic poision based off what other reviews have said. It is unfortunately not an exact match but very close, although it's a very nice perfume all on its own if not comparing it to Hypnotic. It does have very similar notes to Hypnotic poison, but It is missing the "warmth" that hypnotic has. I want to say it has more of a cooler finish on it. It gives off an essence similar to D G light blue, which to me is the scent of powder. So if you mixed D G with Dior you would get this scent. At first I didn't know how to feel about it because I don't really care for powder scents, but it's only in the dry down of this and it's not completely overwhelming. This was my go-to foundation back in college. And while yes, a lot of time has passed since then, I can't stop myself from picking up this stick whenever I pass by a Shiseido counter. The scent alone brings back memories! This is SUPER easy to blend, and back in my college days I got by with just using my fingers. This builds nicely if you want fuller coverage, and works extremely well just to spot conceal if you are in a rush. The finish is super natural, and I love that it doesn't wear down really patchy like some other foundation sticks. This stuff is INCREDIBLE!

I would call it a light yet sweet powdery floral, quite playful. It's not overwhelming and lasts a full workday. LOL, so I waited until after I wrote my thoughts on the scent and officially the notes are: vanilla, floral, powdery, lactonic, sweet, savory, tropical, balsamic, musky, and amber. Had to look up lactonic, which is milky, as I thought. But hey, I did pretty good at the top notes! I didn't even think powdery was a scent but it was the only way I could come with to describe it. Kenzo Amour starts with a confusing floral bouquet – marketed as frangipani and cherry blossom. I smell a hint of rose and powder that is a déjà vu of Flower – one of Kenzo’s greatest hits. There is an underlining of powder and musk. The heart notes dive into a concoction of cherries and steamed rice, in a dessert connotation such as rice dumpling sprinkled with crushed raw peanuts; And a rather gentle suggestion of cherries – somewhat like a subdued version of Lutens’ Rahat Loukum. What saves me from drowning in sweetness is a slightly tart note, which I cannot quite place my nose on.

This stick is really, really good for the price. It's medium-full coverage that can also be easily sheered out to light-medium coverage. It glides on very easily and is comfortable, and once it settles in you may forget it's there.The really nice thing about it is that it doesn't like to rub off- if you are truly in need of a budge resistant foundation, even some makeup removing cleansing cloths won't take this sucker off. It didn't oxidise colour on me at all, which was a nice change of pace. I wore the lightest neutral and unlike most other super pale foundations, it didn't turn my face into a puddle of pepto bismol pink after an hour- there was a very, very slight pink cast after a couple of hours, but nothing super noticable unless you're looking for it.

I always wonder if the reviews are real, so I wanted to take a moment to give my review. I ordered the Kenzo amour from this seller and it came earlier than expected. It was wrapped well. It was unopened package with the cellophane wrapper on it. Brand new bottle. Great price!I will buy from this seller again! I’m very pleased. This is my favorite scent since 2008. I bought it when I was living in France and continued since.

Kenzo Amour 50Ml Eau De Parfum Edp Spray

This is gentle, sensual and joyful fragrance, a romantic and aromatic journey to Asia. The perfume starts with soft and attractive aroma of Frangipani blossom which possess a very fine almondlike aroma. The heart features very comfortable and soft aroma of Chinese white tea. The composition continues with thin milky aroma of Thailand rice, and to the gorgeous base which includes woodsy, balsamic, and musky notes, and vanilla. Mysterious incense diffuses on skin in all its nuances nice wooden note and bitterly ranis interlace with soft and powdery note of Burman Tanaka wood with aroma reminiscent of sandalwood and amber. The composition ends with sweet and soft vanilla, clearly distinguished in the base.

I personally lean toward the fruity/floral scent profiles, but I am pleasantly surprised with this clean, powdery scent. Will I buy it again? Nope. Not really for me. However, I don't want to dissuade you if my description sounds like something you might like. With my body chemistry, it starts off smelling like a Dove soap bar (which is a powerfully nostalgic/homey scent for me, personally), and it lingers for about an hour or two as a more sophisticated interpretation of a floral fabric softener. There's a creaminess to this scent, and it smells lotion-like. I don't dislike this idea. The reason I am rating this fragrance down a star is not because I don't like it, but because it lacks in originality.
