I've used Keracolor Klenditioners before, specifically the Mocha brown color. I wanted to have a little bit of fun and make my hair purple and it didn't necessarily go the way I had hoped. The color came out great, but the purple stained my scalp and my forehead in along with my ears, and I had to scrub my bathtub and sink with bleach at least four times before I got all of the purple dye off. And I was soo so careful not to spill any. It's fun. But a lot of work to do and maintain. Thought it would make my hair feel smooth like the regular mocha one does but it felt super dry after. Make sure you rinse and shampoo after and your hair is DRY. It will leak/stain pillows at night if you sleep with even the slightest bit wet hair.

I had my stylist do a purple wash on my highlighted brunette hair (my colors range from dark brown to blonde), and it was fading FAST. Every wash even with my vibrant color preserving shampoo was taking it down a shade. Also, I keep a clip in my shower to pin up my hair while I'm waiting my 3-20 minutes, otherwise it will slightly stain my back and shoulders. And on that note, I recommend washing your body AFTER your hair, to prevent skin discoloration. Keep a shower brush (like a tangle teaser) on hand to brush the color evenly through your wet hair. DRY your hair before wearing light clothing.. this stuff (along with Vibrant color, even permanent) will bleed onto everything while your hair is wet. It washes out, but you don't want too mess up your outfit. And lastly, keep a magic eraser in your shower.. while I am letting the product sit in my hair, I take my magic eraser and clean all the spots I splattered onto the shower during application. Rinsing goes fine for me and I usually don't need the magic eraser after rinsing, but I'm messy during application. For extra vibrant hair apply onto dry hair (avoid your scalp if possible, and use a shower brush to make sure it blends evenly), and let it sit for 20-30 minutes. The shampoo itself makes my hair look super healthy, and I usually don't use any other shampoo or conditioner with it. The only issue I have with this product is that it does stain my scalp if I'm not super careful, but so does anything dark my stylist uses, so it's no surprise.

I have long been a fan of the original rose gold color+clenditioner, but with dark brown hair, it had always had little effect except on highlights (which I've still enjoyed!). I had high hopes for the rose gold for brunettes, but the effect was negligible on my dark brown and it turned my highlights somewhere between red and bright pink.... nowhere near rose gold and definitely not a good or desired color. On another note, I've never felt the need to wear gloves with the original rose gold, but much like the original formula purple, this rose gold for brunettes definitely stains hands, hairline, scalp, and wherever else you might accidently get it. Overall, hard "no" vote for me!

I use henna to dye my hair, so I thought using some dark purple would help neutralize some of the warm undertones and fill in my more stubborn grey areas where even the henna had trouble. Definitely wear gloves. I thought it would be fine in the shower not to, but my hands were immediately stained bright purple, and it took 2 days of soaking and scrubbing to get it off. Unfortunately, I couldn't do that with my scalp, which retained the majority of the color. My hair didn't seem to absorb any of the color, or very little if it did, even after 3 uses. Just not worth the time and effort for me. I will use whatever is left, but won't purchase again.
I've tried a few different colors of the Keracolor Clenditoner line. The purple for brunettes is my absolute favorite! It's the only purple I've found to have magenta undertones instead of blue. The color fade is so pretty. Even when my grays come in they look cool against this color. The product will stain - I'm messy when I color my hair but a little bathroom cleaner that has bleach and it comes right off. I am looking for a more permanent or demi color purple like this. I put it on dry hair for 30 minutes and shampoo/conditioner rinse. Lasts about 10 washes for me I refresh the color every 3 weeks. Leaves my hair soft and no damage.
I've used this product since the spring of this year and absolutely love the color deposit. I dye my hair red and using this product made it so I didn't feel the need to dye it as often. In about July I started to notice significant shedding but thought that it might be due to other conditions until looking into this product and finding that other people experienced hair loss. I regret looking into this product so late because I've lost a significant amount of hair to the point where I have a visible loss in density and am now insecure about my hair at the age of 21
I had jewel tone hair for years. It was expensive and the maintenance was exhausting. I decided to try something simple and temporary. The process is very basic. It takes place of shampoo and conditioner. My hair feels clean after using it and it's actually soft. I have long hair, so I apply a large amount in my hair and make sure all of my hair is covered. I even use a wet brush made for the shower to make sure it's evenly distributed. I leave it in during my entire shower. Despite following the directions, the color is VERY patchy. Some of my hair doesn't have any color. In some spots the color is vibrant and beautiful. In other places, the color is a really light pink. I'm honestly afraid to straighten my hair, because it will look so bad.
I am obsessed with this stuff, it is the only shampoo I use until the day before my salon appointment (I use a good clarifying shampoo then, which gets rid of any color this has deposited). Even my hair stylist is amazed by how vibrant I keep my hair between my appointments every 6-8 weeks. I see there are quite a few negative reviews so I wanted to leave an informative one to address the issues so many are having. Hot pink color: to achieve a lighter color only leave on for 3-5 minutes. I have used the hot pink in this brand and this has a much more gold hue to it, even left on for long periods of time. Hot pink color: to achieve a lighter color only leave on for 3-5 minutes. I have used the hot pink in this brand and this has a much more gold hue to it, even left on for long periods of time. This is NOT for BLONDE hair, it is meant for brunettes! I like this better than the one meant for blondes because I can put it on my roots first to give them that pinkish gold hue, then after a minute or two add it to my ends where my three-toned coral, peach, and pink highlights are. I'm on my second bottle and I still have coral and peach in my hair, so yes, it is possible to use this without turning your lighter hair hot pink. Also, you can mix this with another conditioner to lighten the pigmentation for a more subtle color. If it comes out to pink or red for your liking you can just wash it out with normal shampoo, it will lighten it at the very least if not remove it completely. No color: this is the the hair color version of a gradual tanner- it builds with each use. My roots are a medium to dark brown- I did not see results until my second or third shampoo, and it is important to not use any other shampoo or conditioner on your hair as it will wash the color out. On light brown areas I saw results on first use. Haven't tried it on very dark hair, though I think it would only provide a super subtle glow to it, possibly only noticeable in the sunlight. My bestie uses this in her natural light-medium brown hair and it has turned a very pretty rosie-brown. Between the two color options I think you'd have better luck using the purple on dark hair-it is super pigmented and gorgeous. Staining: use gloves or IMMEDIATELY was hands after application. With the purple gloves are essential! And also with purple be careful with your scalp (try to make sure it's more on the hair than the scalp), I would occasionally end up with a purple spot or two. I keep a magic eraser in my shower to clean up any splatters while I'm letting the color sit in my hair (though, in a pinch, body wash also works to clean the shower. Lol). I've had pink, purple, or red hair for two years and the only stain in my shower is a thin ring around the drain where water sits up against the metal. The key is to clean it up quickly! I also make a point to wash my body AFTER my hair. Also, dry your hair if you plan on wearing light clothes. This is the same even with professional color, as it can bleed when wet. This is especially true with the purple. I think that addresses any potential cons. Pros: leaves my hair looking healthy and vibrant. Can be used for maintenance between colorings or as a single gradual source of color. I've tried dozens of shampoos and conditioners, but my hair and scalp have never looked so healthy as they do when using this. I hope this helps those who are on the fence! Also, remember, you can return it if you don't like it after a couple uses!
I am licensed in the beauty industry and I take excellent care of my hair using only professional quality products, 4 months ago I shaved my head with the intention of growing my hair out for a year with no bleach. I've had brightly colored hair for 18+ years and I don't much care for my natural auburn, so I picked this up from Ulta because Cosmoprof (where I usually get my hair dye and haircare products) didn't care the purple for brown shade. This product after a single use absolutely /destroyed/ my curl pattern just when my hair was getting to a length where my curls looked cute and caused major hair fall out and breakage to the point where I am considering shaving my head again so that I can re-start my healthy hair grow out journey. This product after a single use absolutely /destroyed/ my curl pattern just when my hair was getting to a length where my curls looked cute and caused major hair fall out and breakage to the point where I am considering shaving my head again so that I can re-start my healthy hair grow out journey. My hair looks like trash now, even if the color is pretty, my hair just stands up on end all frizzed out even with a ton of leave in conditioner and after my all time favorite hair masks/deep conditioners. Plus it smelled nasty on top of it all and even 2 weeks and 5 showers later it was still running pink down my face every time I worked out. I looked up "Keracolor hair loss" on Google and found a reddit post with tons of commenters all stating that they had the exact same experience that I did. People who take extraordinary care of their hair and are highly educated on hair care getting their hair ruined by this product. This is the worst hair product I have ever tried and I was a punk teenager who tried just about every bleach and bright hair color from the drug store and Sally's back in the day.
This product works amazing and I wish I could post pictures on here. The trick is- completely ignore the directions and treat it like an actual hair dye. Wear gloves, protect your bathroom, use on dry hair, section section section and fully saturate every strand. Leave on for 45 minutes like regular dye, then rinse with cool water. Then condition and rinse again. It's a cleansing conditioner, which means it's not a deep conditioner so you'll still need to follow up with your regular conditioner if you have dry hair. I only applied the dye on my medium to light brown areas and ended up with a ombre dark brown root to beautifully rich and vivid purple. My hair is also ultra thick and wavy and I still have half a bottle left to use to maintain my color! I recommend 8 sections in pony tails for long thick hair, then letting down one by one and only taking half centimeter pieces at a time and saturating and combing through for the most even and vivid results.
