I have fine and straight hair. Medium length. Oily scalp and dry ends. My hair is also color-treated ( highlights lowlights). Needless to say, the impact of chemicals on my hair make it very difficult to find a product that balances everything, but I think it is safe to say now I found a keeper with Kerastase Genesis Bain Hydra-Fortifiant Shampoo. Sulfate-free, gives you a gentler clean. This is also a must-have for dyed or chemically treated hair, because it retains moisture and repairs damage. I was able to experience that beforehand. Cleans, moisturizes and strenghts your hair after only a few washes. Experienced less hair loss during shower, and less breakage when brushing. CONS: It has a sweet and powdery sort of smell – the only reason why I’m giving this product a 4 stars. It’s not a bad smell, I just don’t like it. Overall, 100% recommended. I’m very particular with scents but just experiencing the benefits of this product, I can definitely deal with the smell. My hair is now silky and smooth. Give it time. It’s definitely worth the cost!

After COVID may be or due to other reason I am seeing my hair everywhere in house. After using Kerastase few times I am seeing the difference. When I brush my hair, I see lesser hair fall on it. Conflicted

I’m unsure what to make of the genesis range (shampoo, conditioner, Serum Anti-Chute Fortifiant, Defense Thermique Treatment). I have been using them all, in addition to TRESemme Care & Protect Heat Defence Spray and L'Oréal Haircare Oil, for the past 4 washes. Nutritive 8H Magic Night Serum every night also. Pros: My hair is falling out a bit less, granted it’s early days at this stage. And as a result seems to be a bit thicker/ voluminous. I have long dark straight hair which can be quite flat the longer and heavier it is. My hair is shiny, smooth/ soft to a point, and my scalp does feel very clean. The serum doesn’t make my hair greasy, Cons: My hair seems noticeably drier, my partner noticed! The 8HR night serum is, but that’s about it. Overall, I think I will return to using the Olaplex range. I got loads upon loads of complements on my hair when I did, and my hair is not colour treated or damaged really but it still made a significant difference. Genesis range for long, natural grey hair

Love Kerastase products, have tried many from the range and thought I would try the Genesis range because I was noticing many hairs in my hairbrush after brushing. The scent of all these items in the bundle is really nice; luxurious and a nice fresh, not over powering scent. I used the serum for 6 weeks as recommended, along with the shampoo, conditioner and blow dry spray, all worked well but I can't say I noticed a reduction in hair fall. One thing is for sure, these products are top quality and as such result in soft, manageable and very healthy looking and feeling hair. Unsure yet whether to stick with this range, or to return to Kerastase Densifique. Great Product, But Heavy On The Fragrance

I liked both the conditioner and shampoo, but for me the scent is way too strong. Fragrances in products can be a polarizing sort of thing. I know some of my friends who would love this scent, but I am not one of them. It has a sweet floral scent. The shampoo and conditioner both applied very easily throughout my fine hair (though have a lot of it) however. Sometimes shampoos can be more concentrated making them difficult to really distribute well, but not the case with this one. The condition also had the right amount of slip to it to evenly apply though the length of my hair. Neither of these products weighed down my hair. Seeing I cannot get past the strong scent, I cannot confirm how well this supports hair from breakage. I've used it now for several days and while I'm not certain that my hair has been falling out less, I do like how cleansing the shampoo is And how hydrating the conditioner is. My hair has been falling and breaking a lot due to pregnancy, hair dye, and the summer sun. Before starting the shampoo and conditioner I was seeing lots of clumps fall out every time I showered. I'm seeing less of them now but it's difficult to know if it's necessarily the shampoo and conditioner preventing the breaking and fall out, or because it's so hydrating and cleansing that it's doing a lot to remove the buildup that had maybe been leading to the breaking. The shampoo is very cleansing and leaves your head feeling very clean and the conditioner does a lot to hydrate. I'm interested in continuing to try these for longer to see if my hair continues to get better.

Kerastase Genesis

I was Recommended Kerastase Genesis range by my hair dressers as my hair was weakened and prone to breakage due to having a Balayage and the length(long) I haven't looked back since and have now being using for 2 years! It's the only hair shampoo that I know actually works! You do have to use regularly,not stopping and starting or you won't get the full benefits ! I use the size of a 10p pence and work through my hair. Love the packaging & the smell is lovely too! My hair has improved & less breakage! Gently clarifies & reinforces to reduce the risk of breakage! It also prevents oil build ,which I get with other hair products.

Smells great, no build up

I received this product as a part of a free sample promotion.Keratase shampoo smelled amazing. The first time I tried it, my hair get softer just from using it before the conditioner. I was concerned that there may have been some product buildup, just because of what it does, but that does not seem to be the case. The second and third uses continued to add softness but not to the extent of the first. Still no build up. I have noticed less breakage in my hair and my locks seem to be stronger, which is a big deal for me as my hair is down to the small of my back. The lather and smell are pleasing and I feel like my hair gets cleaned. I would buy this for sure. The lack of buildup makes it more favorable than others and the great smell is a plus!

Worst shampoo I have ever tried!

I ordered this shampoo after completing a quiz on a website willing to make my damaged and prone to breakage hair stronger. And this product supposed to help me. However, I've never had worse experience with any shampoo. After the first wash my scull became super itchy and flaky. But I thought that it might have been just a coincidence. After the third use I've noticed lots of dandruff (that I have never had before). And it did absolutely opposite to what was promised. I noticed increased hair breakage and tones of hair on the brush. My skull and roots (and hair in general) became super dry that even conditioner couldn't soften it. I started to worry about losing my hair at all to be honest, because it turned into a bunch of dry straws.
