Kicker 46CSS654 6.5-inch Speakers

Great speakers for the price. I don't understand how people can say they don't make a difference. It was a night and day difference with the clear and crisp sound from my stock speakers. When paired with the sub and speaker amp combo,, this truck sounds great now!! The only down side i found was there wasn't a good way to mount the rear door speakers. I destroyed my stock rear speakers to make a mounting bracket that worked great. If you got a dremel and and about 20 extra minutes, this was the ticket. See pictures. Anyways, I recommend these speakers.

Installation was very easy. Invested in a plastic trim tool kit from Amazon and every door panel popped off very effortlessly. I purchased Metra speaker adapters and wiring harnesses so install time was as quick as screwing speakers in to new adaptors and back onto doors. Sound was improved. I now have installed a 5 channel JL amplifier for the door speakers and a 13 inch thin JL sub while keeping my dash center and pillar tweeters on factory amp. The sound is incredible. The kickers see 75 watts each and really play loud and crisp. My output to aftermarket amp is from a pac audio ampro. I'm able to retain all chimes and sync3 sounds through speakers and still have full range inputs to amp. Installation took me about 3 hours but I also installed sound proofing material, roadkill foam baffles and used mount kits (Metra 825606 for 6x9 & Metra 825605 for 6.5). The metra kits allowed my to self tap screw into them with stock screws and not use what was provided in the Kicker speaker boxes. All in all, the installation was simple, I hard wired the speakers using poke and wrap after figuring out polarity from a youtube video. I am a bit disappointed in the thump but the tones are good enough for me at my age; and I didn't have high expectations on an 8 sub. Decent Subwoofer

Good sound for the price. I took away one star because the terminals are pretty flimsy. Connectors were a little tight, & I was afraid of breaking them before I got the wires attached. Otherwise a good value.

Excellent mount for many vehicles

I dont like my phone up in my windshield or clipped to a vent and had trouble finding anything that would hold well down lower. This mount has a very small base and can be mounted in many places out of the way. Magnet is very strong. Only down side is my contact charging was blocked by the large square metal plate on the phone. The smaller round plate is used down lower to allow contact charging again. Both plates are supplied.

Good sound for price and easy install.

The sound quality was good for the price. The base was good and the tweeter highs were excellent. Definitely a very good upgrade to the original factory speakers, in my 2007 Pajero. The 6.5 inch speaker was a little smaller that the factory, so I had to drill new holes in the door frame, which was not too difficult. The rear magnet was small enough to fit without interference with the window. Fits a Pajero anyway. I did not install the crossover, and used the factory installed one for a quicker job, but still good sound. The tweeter may be getting a bit too much power, so I lowered the treble setting, and did the trick. This was the first speakers I have installed in a car, so I am a novice, but still successful.

Great but do it right

I got these to replace completely fine stock speakers in my 2017 accord. They require that you buy a mount for these to fit right and this is a must. They just dont sound the same with out them. That being said, I bought 4 of these, a 600 watt alpine multichannel ampalong with a 12in sub and 1500 watt mono amp. So far bestbuy has only had time to get the 2 front speakers put in and not even the amp to them. Still, they hit, they are super loud, and more than twice as good as what the car came with. I'm just excited to throw the amp on and see what 150 watts sounds like instead of the 62.50 they are each getting right now because they are already so amazing. For what these speakers are intended for and their price point they are a relative bargain. Especially if you can find them on sale even more so. I was initially considering the JBL's but I figured I would poke around before buying. I pushed the button for these after the JBL's and I was taken aback. They not only had more present low end but also a higher, more detailed and focused high end. The midrange was about equal between the two. So I sat back and forth back and forth and I honestly couldn't believe the kickers! They sounded better. With higher power handling and dare I say clearer sound with more bass, I was sold. I have them installed in my Focus RS being pushed by a blaupunkt 175w x4 RMS and they love being pushed. I have an L7 12" Solobaric powered by a 2400w Kicker amp and they have no issue keeping up. Bravo Kicker.

Perfect for stock stereos

These are ideal for replacing stock speakers using the stock head unit. Much more efficient. Nice highs and good mids. Bass is tight but not terribly low. Easy installation, but I recommend Dynamat or some sort of damping material. I use these with a Kicker Hideaway powered sub in my 2017 F150. Perfect combination and easy to dial in the right crossover and bass level. These speakers really aren't made for big systems with powerful amps. Kicker has other speakers better suited for that. They are for factory speaker replacement with a stock head unit, and are a big improvement for not a lot of cash. I am very pleased with them and would not hesitate to buy them again.

Works with stock component speakers

I have a 2010 Corolla and thought that any upgrade to the front speakers would involve replacing the small component speakers near the side mirrors. This is not the case. Thanks to my knowledgeable Best Buy installer, Ryan, I learned that with these speakers installed I could just keep the old component speakers too. And, they all work! Not only is this great because of the savings on the install, but now I have a much better high frequency response in the front. Keeping the speakers hidden was important to me as well, and a component upgrade would have been pretty obvious. This may not be the proper crossover technique, but I am really happy with the sound at such a small price.
