We've used Kicker before in our family 2002 Silverado, so when I got my latest project car, I knew these had to replace the distorting OEM speakers in my 92 Miata. Cheap and reliable, and they sound leagues better than the one's they replaced, as one would expect. Install was simple, comes with the necessary electrical butt connectors to wire them in. All you need is a philips head screwdriver, some wire strippers/cutters, and a crimping tool to crush the butt connectors onto the leads. Will always recommend Kicker.

Sounds amazing. Was excited and thrilled about these. Well not even a couple of hours of install the driver door has blown. I am not pushing anything crazy. I have an amp that is pushing 80 watts RMS. I had some cheepo autozones before hand that lasted longer than this and they were rated for 40 watts RMS. Will be returning tomorrow.

Really happy with these speakers. They fit really well in the front doors of my Chevy Express 3500. They are on minimal power (an aftermarket stereo, but without an amp) but still sound great everywhere except in the low end. My stereo's built-in digital crossover allowed me to eliminate anything going to the speakers that was below 60hz and they sound excellent as my limited power is apparently enough to pull some sub but not the lowest of sub. Fortunately, I have a 10" powered house sub in between the front seats that more than handles the 60hz and below. (and it only cost me $149 - Polk Audio 10" Sub) - I am one 4-channel amp away from being happy with my sound. At which time I'll still add a 12" Klipsch Sub to the "trunk" and put more serviceable speakers in the ... MoreReally happy with these speakers. I dont like my phone up in my windshield or clipped to a vent and had trouble finding anything that would hold well down lower. This mount has a very small base and can be mounted in many places out of the way. Magnet is very strong. Only down side is my contact charging was blocked by the large square metal plate on the phone. The smaller round plate is used down lower to allow contact charging again. Both plates are supplied.
They are still breaking in but already the improvement over the stock speakers is remarkable. Nice warm mids, clear highs and clean bass that won’t rattle the neighbors windows but that isn’t what I trying to do. For me, listening to a broad swath of music types, these are about as good as I could have hoped for.
I wanted more “thump” from my 2016 Tacoma’s system. Went with the Kicker under seat subwoofer. Decided to go ahead and change out all speakers. This pair for the dash. The system works really well especially after I slightly moved the sound toward the rear of the cabin by way of the original head. (This will be the next upgrade). Need more wattage than the 25 max this one gives. Speakers will handle 50-100.Great experience so far. Sound is crisp and full. Just what I was looking for in a car audio system. My issue is with the sound quality and installation. Can't turn up speakers to load because they start popping then cut off. My fade to front and back and balance left to right don't work anymore. My GPS voice commands only come out of the front passenger speaker. My passenger talk option doesn't work anymore. Very disappointed. I chose Best Buy because I wanted professional installation & quality.
This "dash" speaker is really mounted in the original location in the console between the drivers and passenger seat. It comes with dual 3.5" speakers mounted on a nice plate that has predrilled holes that line up with the original mounting holes. I bought a sub, amp and additional speakers for a surround sound effect, but this would work well if you don't want a surround sound effect. would definitely recommend it!
