Kiehl's Calendula Deep Cleansing Foaming Face Wash 230 ml

This is a gentle and refreshing cleanser. It can effectively remove dirt, oil, makeup, sunscreen, and impurities without stripping the skin of its natural moisture. I have combo/sensitive skin. The formula of this cleanser is gentle on my skin and does not leave it feeling dry or tight after use. It also has a pleasant, refreshing scent. Overall, I would highly recommend Kiehl’s calendula deep cleansing foaming face wash to anyone looking for a gentle yet effective cleanser. It is great for all skin types and leaves your skin feeling clean, refreshed, and moisturized.

I have been using this for about 3 weeks and my face loves it! I have oily/combo skin and have found this face wash to help balance the oiliness of my skin without making it dry. My face always feels so refreshed after using this. I have the smaller size, and have been using just a pea size amount then lathering in my hands to create a nice foaming texture. The smell is wonderful too and light. I have used Kiehls ultra facial cleanser too, and for daily use I definitely would choose the Calendula over the Ultra. I find Ultra to be too harsh. I only use that for big makeup removal/ when I’m getting acne. (I don’t get much acne though)

This is described as a foaming but not stripping cleanser that is great for oily skin. Calendula is good for reducing redness and Inflammation. Is it all of those things? Yes. Does packaging have major flaws? Yes. The bottle is dark and it’s impossible to tell how much is left without holding it up to the light. In addition, the cleanser is SO THICK and the dispenser is tiny and frequently goops up. I’m often picking pieces out to clear it and have a hard time dispensing enough to wash my face! I have oily skin I torture with BHA’s and retinol and this didn’t strip my skin. It didn’t do anything amazing for it either. The packaging is making me count down the days until I’m finished, and for the price point I’m going back to my old favorites and I won’t buy again.

Cleaned up my skin after horrible hormonal acne

I have dry skin that becomes super oily if not moisturized. It is very sensitive to products. My Go to face wash was discounted. Following a major surgery, my hormones went crazy and my face broke out. I had DEEP pimples. You could see them underneath my skin after I showered and cleansed my face. This product cleared it up for me! I I give 4 stars because it does leave my skin flaky sometimes because it can be drying, but it does not irritate. And it smells great. I little gos along way. Also using Luke warm water with this product works better than using hot water. It says on the bottle to use luke warm and it does make a difference.

Eyeballs Beware

I just discovered you can't use this around they eye area, so it is a no go for me. I usually have to go in a second time after my oil cleanser. No wonder my eyes have been tremendously sore In the past week. Eyes aside, I find this cleanser to be a bit too harsh for my normal to combo skin. My hubby told me my face feels burning hot after I use it. If you like a foaming cleanser, this one produces thick foam and has a strong citrus smell. I'll be returning this and going back to my Youth To The People cleanser which works like a charm. This would work best for oiler skin types or those who live or work outside in very warm climates.

Great foaming, mildly stripping

This cleanser goes on great and foams up quite easily. As you're cleansing it feels really nice, refreshing and effective. As someone with normal skin who probably leans slightly to the dry side of things, I did find this to be mildly stripping on some parts of my face, but wouldn't go so far as to say it was fully drying.Knowing that this is meant for normal to oily skin, it's not something I would've picked up for myself but I did get a sample size of it so of course had to try it out.It was good enough to finish the sample (about 3 uses) but not for my skin type to consider purchasing.I'd recommend it for oily skin types only.

My Holy Grail

I’ve never been a person too brand loyal for facial cleansers, I’d probably just keep buying whatever was on sale or whatever I saw in the drugstore if not for this.I got a little one as a gift three years ago and have never loved a cleanser as much since. I bought the bigger size and it lasts forever! It makes my skin feel nice and I think it does a good job of removing makeup, even though I also use a remover with it. I don’t break out as much now that I have this + my skincare routine.It feels luxurious too and you can’t top that! Like a mini spa feeling in my day.

Stepping up my skincare game

I wanted to find a sulfate-free face wash, and this has proven to be a great choice. I’ve been using it about 3 years now and I’ve found it to be well worth the cost (especially if you can get it on sale like now). You only need a very small amount of product per wash, which lathers up nicely. so I’ve found that for me alone, the 7.8-oz bottle lasts basically the whole year (I wash my face with it nightly). It’s also mild and doesn’t sting eyes. Since it lasts so long, don’t be fooled by the price. I don’t need to replace it as often as the drugstore product I used to use (even when you factor for the amount of product per bottle). A winner!
