Kiehl's - Calendula Petal-Infused Calming Mask - 100ml

A few weeks ago when my face got reacted to a skin product it's all breaking out and dried I decided to try out this Kiehl's Calendula Petal-Infused Calming Mask and it's actually reduced my redness. It left my skin feeling plump and hydrated after use. Moreover, this is everything I wanted for a soothing, skin restoring formula and it's easy to apply and rinsed off easily. This is my second kiehl's product besides the toner.

The Calendula mask is a holy grail for me. I was healing from dermatitis bumps and tried everything for a moth and a half. I didn’t think this was going to work and planned on returning it without even opening it cause I changed my mind. But I said what the heck let me try if since it’s here. I left it on probably longer than I should have and when I washed it off the redness from the bumps were GONE and I swear some of the bumps were gone. I was staring at my face for so long still skeptical cause I couldn’t believe that this product out of everything else I tried worked. Definitely not returning. This mask gives me more confidence to maybe start exfoliating again

This is such an underrated product! Only 39 reviews! I absolutely adore this mask. When you first put it on it's sooo soothing and cooling, it feels like you're at the spa. After you take it off your skin is so soft and calm. I cannot say enough good things about this mask. I have rosacea and this mask is my #1 when I'm looking for some relief

I really wanted to love this product as I love Kiehl’s as a brand. However, this mask disappointed me and I tried using it on 3 different occasions, twice in the summer and once in the fall. The consistency is reminiscent of a pear purée and is subtle in smell so it seemed promising. After application, it didn’t burn, but it tingled in an uncomfortable way here and there. I have sensitive skin but not to the point that a proclaimed ‘calming mask’ would prove irritating. Bottom line, it doesn’t calm my skin in fact it does the opposite and I don’t notice any remarkable difference after using it. If you’re looking for a genuinely calming mask for irritated skin or otherwise, I would go for Peter Thomas Roth’s Cucumber Gel Mask which I absolutely love.

Add this to your summer skin regimen!

This mask was a much loved addition to my skincare regimen last summer! It’s gel-like consistency is cooling on the skin and in combination with its fruity smell, felt amazing on my sensitive skin after a warm day. It also reduced any inflammation. Not to mention, it left my skin feeling plump and hydrated after use. A little bit of product goes a long way. My only complaint is that this mask is gritty- with bits of petal in it that sit on the face. I’d prefer it without! I would buy this product again!

Does everything it claims and more!

I am a firm believer in Kiehl's masks, so when this dropped I was eager to try it out. WOW! This is everything I wanted for a soothing, skin restoring formula. Easy to apply and rinsed off easily enough with warm water. Only a slight scent, which I was grateful for because I am not an aloe fan. I've tried many other masks similar to this from other brands and can genuinely say this is the most pleasant user experience I've had. I was shocked at how 10 minutes with the mask made my face look lovely! My redness had decreased, even around active breakout sites, and my skin felt smooth and plump. My mom, who has extremely dry skin, liked this but said that she preferred the avocado mask from this brand when asked to pick the two. Regardless, we agreed this was worth the buy!

Expensive; Does Not Offer the Benefits Promised

It doesn't do anything either way. It doesn't irritate my skin or worsen my acne, and it doesn't reduce the redness nor hydrate. I have a deluxe sample of this stuff, and I definitely wouldn't purchase it. It cools my skin and dulls the pain for the ten minutes before it dries the same as plain, grocery-store aloe vera gel does. It doesn't do anything else. I'll finish the sample because it's there, and it doesn't harm my skin, but if given the choice between this and another free deluxe sample, I wouldn't choose this one again.

Great for my sensitive skin

This mask is one of my all-time favorites. It leaves my sling feeling soft and hydrated without being heavy or difficult to wash off. It helps soothe irritation and redness during colder months. The only downside I found was that it stings a little bit on my more sensitive areas that may be raw like under my nose if I’ve been blowing my nose a lot from a cold or allergies. But overall this is my favorite mask Kiehl’s makes out of all of them (which I use and rotate regularly). I highly recommend!

Misleading- reviews are for a different product

You should make a new product page for the “new formula” because it is nothing like the original. Many of these reviews are for a completely different product. The aloe and candula mask was an amazingly light and moisturizing gel mask. The “new formula” (which is actually an entirely different product) is not what all the 5 star reviews are for. The aloe mask was a gel that moisturized very well. This other mask is a cream mask that doesn’t do anything. I will attach pictures to show you that they don’t even claim to do the same things! Not the same product

If you're looking for the Calendula & Aloe mask that many of these 5* reviews are for, this product NOT it. The Calendula & Aloe mask is super hydrating, has a smooth gel texture, and smells great. The Calendula Petal-Mask product is entirely a different product—wouldn't even call it a reformulation, honestly. I don't know what's been going on with Kiehl's lately...they discontinued a bunch of products a few months ago, and now this. Kiehl's, you've been my go-to for the past decade but I'm really disappointed by these changes.
