This is the first product from Kiehl’s I’ve tried, though I’ve seen the hype for their other products. I really like the light gel texture- it is more of a gel than a cream. There is no scent, and it goes on thin but is buildable. I had seen other reviews that said it dried sticky, but I it was not stick at all for me. Overall, it plays nicely in my routine leaves me feeling moisturized. It does feel like there’s less cream in the jar compared to other products that also come in 1.7oz size.

AMAZING!

I don’t usually write many reviews but this moisturiser DEFINITELY deserves one. I have combination/oily, acne-prone skin and I have tried countless moisturisers to help with the oiliness and breakouts. This has been THE BEST moisturiser I have ever used. Hands down. I don’t get anywhere near as oily as I used to with other moisturisers and I haven’t had a single breakout since using it. It’s almost a water-like feel but is still so hydrating. It’s a little pricey, yes, but you really get what you pay for in this case! Amazing stuff.

Don't get the hype

Don't get why everyone is raving about this stuff? I could barely feel it making a difference to my skin at all. Doesn't even feel like you've put any on after it absorbs. Maybe that's the idea? But I like to be able to actually see and feel moisturisers making a difference to my skin. With this stuff, I really couldn't see or feel any difference in my skin at all. Insanely overpriced for something that gives no noticeable results.

Good for dry/oily skin

I have somewhat mature (almost 40) skin and my skin concerns were: large pores around nose/cheeks, and shine, dryness from makeup, and whiteheads on nose/chin. Because I did experience dryness, I tend to pick rich oily moisturizer at night, and during the day, honestly I didn't know what to use underneath makeup, so I just picked moisturizing CC cream to fight dryness without appearing too oily. I had this oil free product as sample from another purchase and gave a try without much expectations and I accidentally found out that this kinda checks all my problem areas (pores, shines, dryness, whiteheads). I use this night and day and I recommend especially as moisturizer before makeup since it moisturizes without the shine.

Great for Combination Skin

I love my Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Oil Free Gel Cream. It’s the best solution for my combination skin. I wash my face first, then use a cleansing cream which I wipe off with a cotton wool pad and use my ultra facial oil free gel cream as the final step in my process. It leaves my skin feeling balanced all over. It’s my go to finishing product every morning and every evening when I repeat the cleaning process (wash, cleanse, moisturise with gel). My only complaint is that it comes in a tub whereas I’d prefer it if it was in a tube so it’s less exposed to external elements.

Not worth it.

The refillable moisturizer is quite pointless. Its capacity is only slightly bigger than the biggest container. However, unlike it in a jar, you can use up till the last drop of the moisturizer when you use the refillable. You just can't squeeze everything out. I feel like being trapped of buying the refillable because the amount of moisturizer I end up getting is actually the same as what I have in a jar, but I have to pay more because it was in a refillable pouch.

Overall great!

I also like that there is no odor. Putting cream on your face, the scent is very important and this product does a great job compared to others with having almost no scent. I like that this also works well and dries quickly - I can finish my morning routine of putting sunscreen on without having to wait a while for this to soak in. It is easy to apply and I don't feel like I need to wash my hands after applying, I just rub any access, if any, on my skin and it absorbs all of the product. I would buy this product and I would gift this product to someone I love, it's a great thoughtful item to give to someone and very useful! I would tell anyone to buy this product, I know my sister would love it. The packaging is very bright blue, and it stands out compared to my other beauty products. I do wish the lid sealed a bit tighter, but so far so good. Overall this product absolutely meets my expectations and provides great hydration without any big negatives. I would buy this product again.

Pleasantly Surprised!!

I need a gel moisturiser due to my oily skin and although I love my usual one I thought I'd give this one a go. On first opening I wasn't too impressed, it looks like clear hair gel and there's no nice floral smell like my usual moisturiser, HOWEVER, I've been using this day and night alongside the Khiels Aque Gel SPF and my skin feels so velvety soft, I love it!! It's a bit more 'watery" in texture than I'm used to, but it soaks straight into your skin leaving no greasy/oily finish. Would 100% recommend!

Really Good For My Oily Skin

I'm 51 and I *still* get oily skin. On the one hand that's great, no wrinkles yet, on the other hand it's so gross I still get a shiny face, some sports and can feel the oil...yuk. I was using another fairly 'high end' moisturiser which was supposed to be ok for my skin type but I was having to buy blotting paper for use in the afternoon. I decided to look for other moisturisers for oily skin and this popped up so I gave it a go. You don't need a lot! It goes on really nicely and smells good too. My face feels moisturised without feeling greasy. It sinks in pretty well. The shine has reduced a lot by using this product, the oil hasn't gone away completely and depending on what my hormones are doing I still need to use the occasional blotting paper but it's nowhere ... MoreI'm 51 and I *still* get oily skin.
