Had 2 swages slip with only 40kg load. The correct number and sequence of crimps was used, but visible gaps are left after the tool has fully compressed it. The 600mm version doesn't do this.

I used this tool to create a decorative garden trellis with 2mm wire rope and 2mm swages. I’m very happy with the end result, but I really struggled to get leverage with this tool. In the end, I had to do all my swaging on the ground and use my entire body weight to push down on the handle. Mine was only a small project, so I persevered with this tool, but suggest upgrading to the 650mm tool for larger projects.

I put 50kg weight directly on the handle, still wouldn't crimp the swage. Waist of time and money.

If you are using it for 3.2mm wire I suggest you go straight for the next model up at $99 the leverage on these isn’t very good for the bigger size swages
I bought this to use with stainless wire. It barely made any impression in the crimp. I pulled the rubber grips off and slid some 25mm square tube over the handles for extra leverage and then it worked a treat. The cutters sliced through the 3.2mm rope with no trouble as is.
Works great, I don’t know what all these other people are on about it being hard, might be using it wrong or just not strong enough... Anyway great product.
