Kinetic Sand - Beach Sand

This kinetic sand is fantastic! I purchased an off brand for my son and, while it was very fun, it wasn’t nearly the quality of the original. This holds together incredibly well, making cleanup easy. It really does remind me of beach sand!I will say that it’s a little oily. My 2 year old gets it all over the hardwood floor and it makes it slick. Overall, we love it!

Better than the colors

This sand is better than the colored versions. The colored ones stain your hands and the texture is different. My daughter is a sensory seeker and she also loves sand/dirt outside. Did holes in my yard. She only likes this version of the sand and so do I. I bought about 6 bags or so to fill up a large low height bin. She would even sit in it. It's not mess free but it's easy to clean up and doesn't get everywhere as typical sand or aqua sand does. After about 3 or 4yrs in the closed airtight container it now feels slimey. So I will be replacing it with more for my 11yr old. (ADHD/Aspergers). Very soothing element for her.

First Kinetic Sand Experience

This was my first Kinetic Sand Experience. I bought two packages, a pastic storage container, and used some small plastic shovels and sand toys to create a Kinetic Sandbox for my two year old's birthday party. It was hit! What a great, inexpensive, and deeply engaging activity for the toddlers. They loved it, and I loved that it didn't make a mess. Any sand that they did throw out was super easy to pick up and throw back in. Satisfied mom and toddlers!

Great Kinetic Sand

When on sale, I purchased 2 bags of this beach kinetic sand. It is darker sand color with a grainy texture. It works well with toy molds and shape cutters. Easy to work with and has a nice texture. Great for sensory bins or play bins. Easy clean up. Keep it in a sealed container when not in use and it will not dry out.

Great indoor activity!

I love kinetic sand! It allows my children (who are 3 and 5) to keep busy indoors. It allows them to build their motor skills while having fun. We purchased a castle moulding set with shovels.. so they are busy building a sand castle for at least an hour :-) good enough for me. The downside is, there will always be a bit of sand to clean up.

Loved it!

Our little one loves the brown kinetic sound that we got for him. He uses it to play "construction" and will work with it for long periods of time. Michaels offered the cheapest kinetic sound by far! We ordered online for store pick-up and it was ready very quickly. We appreciated the text message updates for our order, as well the ease in adding an additional "pick-up person" to the order. Will definitely look to Michaels in the future for similar purchases!

Not Messy Or Sticky! Play Sand VS Beach Sand

I was contemplating whether or not to buy this one because of the reviews I read. Most reviews said how it’s sticky, messy, and not like the “original kinetic sand”. That’s because this is Kinetic Beach Sand, not Kinetic Play Sand (which is the supposed original). Personally, my kids like this one better because the sand grains are more sand like and it has a more crunch sound (it’s a little bit rougher). If you want thinner grains that are a bit easier to play with search up “Kinetic sand play sand”. Target has only colored versions of the play sand IN STORE, the original tan play sand is only online purchase. But anyways, my kids love this sand more than the original. Noticeable Difference in Quality – Prefer Lakeshore Sand

When I first purchased this sand, I didn’t have anything to compare it to, so I found it gritty but acceptable. However, after trying Kinetic Sand from Lakeshore Learning, I’ve realized the difference in quality. The Lakeshore sand is much smoother and matches what I originally expected from this product. Refrain from buying, allergic reaction

We developed a skin allergic reaction. Do not recommend. If you are looking into some sensory or motor skill development playdough or handmade playdough is safe and cheap. Water or sand is also a very affordable and green way to go

not for using in gardening or potting plants

bought it for a neighbor who needed it for potting an exotic house plant. this IS NOT what you want. it is a very sticky sand (hence kinetic).. now we know. I'm sure it's a ɓeautiful product for the right project, it just wasn't what we needed.. maybe a note on your ad about "not suitable for gardening projects" would have been helpful.
