I am so happy with this kitchen aid black bowl the design is unique and has a very smooth matte black texture which I love. The material is heavy and the design looks elegant and beautiful. The material looks amazing and durable. Since I received this one I can't stop baking. Also, this bowl is microwave, dishwasher and oven safe is a win win. It's made of titanium- reinforced ceramic that resists chipping, cracking and staining. This one is definitely value for money and I would definitely recommend this one!

I was so disappointed when I couldn’t get this to lock into my Kitchenaid standing mixer. Seems like I got unlucky with the one I received. It’s such a nice addition to a mixer, but unfortunately didn’t work for me! Return process was simple, though.
I got one of these bowls as a wedding gift and used it about 6 times before a huge chunk fell off the bottom of the bowl, ensuring it can no longer "lock" into the mixing base. Contacted support and was told I needed a receipt or an order number to get any help! I said it was a gift and usually people don't include the order slip within a wrapped gift! Besides I would expect KitchenAid to stand by their products! Very disappointed that an expensive, memorable wedding gift is trash. Definitely won't be buying from KitchenAid again.
I bought this for my daughter for Christmas. She has the Pink KitchenAid and it really looks nice. She loves it. The customer service was good and shippping was really fast. Perfect!
I have bought this product as a second bowl for my mixeralmost a month now, and have used it several times and discovered this bowl is not suitable for making sourdough bread by using the hook the flour end up at the bottom and never mix with water, they advise me use a flat head first and exchange to a hook later , it is so troublesome by making a simple dough, obviously this is a design fault, I once asked for a return but I was not allowed.I never have this problem using the stainless stain bowl , used the hook all the way and finished the job.It is just good-looking but not practical. What a disappointment.I wouldn't recommend this product.
I got the KitchenAid 5 Quart Black Shell Ceramic Bowl and it goes absolutely great with my white KitchenAid Tilt head stand mixer that I had for a while. I fell in love with this matte black bowl at first sight it looks so sleek and Sophisticated . And goes with my kitchen perfect .I love having this as an extra bowl but I think I am going to make this my main bowl because it mixes thing great and I love the fact that u don’t see the fingerprint on the bowl every time u touch it . And u can put in the oven or freezer and no have to worry about it .The dough and batter to slide right out so very easy and leaves the bowl Practically clean.i find myself using it all the time .
This bowl is pretty. The Matte black is beautiful. The item was packaged well. The stainless bowl that came with the mixer is 4.5 qrts and this is a 5qrt bowl. So I can make larger batches. I love having a second bowl because I can save time when baking. It’s a bonus that it is so beautiful.
First of all, I have to say that this bowl is BEAUTIFUL, hence the 2 stars. However, like others have reported, it's nearly impossible to get the bowl to sit on the mixer base properly because the bottom isn't cleanly cut like the metal bowl. I can't justify keeping it simply for looks. I need it to actually work. So sad but I'll be sending it back.
