Loved my old mixer. Wanted to buy another one because I wanted one for both of my kitchens. Upon receiving, it was evident that it was used. Whole palm and finger prints and scratches on the bowl. An eye sore of a huge scratch on the body of the machine which looked like it might have chipped and they tried to paint over it. What’s worse is when I tried to get in touch with Wayfair (five times to be exact), and telling them that if I can’t reach them, I would get in touch with my credit card company, did they finally called me back. Not surprising. I have an open case with them at the BBB and they don’t want to take accountability for their defectiveused products. Just unacceptable and horrible customer service. I received this stand mixer as a Mother’s Day gift from my two boys and husband last month, and I absolutely love it! I’m an aspiring home baker, specializing in cookies, and so far this has been a game changer for me. It has cut down on the time it takes me to whip up a new batch of cookies. Also, due to how evenly and efficiently it mixes up the batter, the texture of my cookies have significantly improved, much creamier with chewy centers, which is ideal for any cookie lover! It’s so easy to clean. I cannot say enough great things about this awesome product. Looking forward to purchasing the other attachments for my Kitchen Aid stand mixer, that I know will make cooking for my family quicker and easier.

My husband brought me my Kitchenaid for Christmas after wanting one for years! It really is an expense but it’s worth every Penny. I haven’t stopped using it since I got it, for cakes, pasta, bread…the list is endless. It’s so much easier than a hand whisk or even a handheld electric whisk. I love the option to be able to add a huge range of attachments, that was one of my main reasons for wanting the Kitchenaid specifically. Not only does it perform great, it looks great! Because it’s got such a good reputation, it’s a well known all over the world, repairs are easy for these machines when something does pop up. Getting me by
29 January 2023

I have owned several KitchenAid mixers over the years. My mother had one that lasted over 40 years. Unfortunately, they don't make them quite that durable anymore. I bought the 4.5 quart as I am living in temporary quarters. It is doing the job, but there are a few things purchasers should be aware of.First, make note of the motor capabilities. I halved a batch of Italian buttercream and it could barely handle the whipping when it got fully cooled and ready to start dropping in the butter.Second, the bowl DOES NOT have a handle. This is an unfortunate design flaw to increase profits by omitting the material used for the handle. For this reason alone, as soon as I can get to my professional mixer this one will be re-homed.Grateful to KitchenAid for the less ... MoreI have owned several KitchenAid mixers over the years. If it's all you can afford or using it in a similar situation as me, it is a wonderful addition to any kitchen.

Glad to have a new KitchenAid mixer!
30 January 2023

I bought my new mixer after Christmas with money I'd received as gifts. In comparing it to the mixer I received at my wedding, I've noticed some differences. The edges don't seem to be as smoothly finished as my old one. There are subtle differences in the beaters and the flat beater and dough hook seem to weigh less than the old beaters. Just hope they hold up for another 40 years (of course, it's unlikely that I'll hold up for another 40 years!). The beater was adjusted too high, I discovered while watching a video that showed me how to correct a non-functioning locking mechanism. I'd contacted customer support three times about this - twice, I was put on hold for an hour. Once I sent an email that has yet to be answered. I'd contacted customer support three times about this - twice, I was put on hold for an hour. Once I sent an email that has yet to be answered. And a fourth time while attempting to conduct an automated chat, I was told that it couldn't be used due to high volume. For a company with KitchenAid's reputation, this is unacceptable. I was also surprised that there wasn't a more thorough owner's manual. Perhaps this is because there is so much available online, but even the paper that the small manual is printed on is rather flimsy. I rather like to refer to a paper I can hold. I will say, though, that the video on the KitchenAid website showing me how to adjust the set screw did the trick and my mixer head stays in the locked position now. The fix was easy, but why couldn't the automated "chat" feature have referred me to that site? I'm happy with the way the mixer is operating, though I've only made cookies once and whole wheat bread twice. However, the real test for me will come only with time - will this new mixer hold up as well as my first one? I hope so. I will also add that now with a KitchenAid mixer in place, my kitchen feels complete again. It's a pleasure to use it and I look forward to MANY years of use.

Making my Teenage Baking Prodigy Happy!
21 July 2023

I bought this to replace an old hand mixer that broke on my teenage daughter while mixing cookie batter. I must admit, this mixer is a definite upgrade. This mixer is well made, and very sturdy. Not even cold butter is a match for it, which was the culprit that sealed the demise of my hand mixer. In just a short time, my baking enthusiast has churned out several recipes with this mixer, and she doesn't appear to be stopping anytime soon. So far, it's been just cookies, but she has her eye on other ideas for the near future. I look forward to what she'll make next!10/10 Would buy again! Also, we may be picking up some of the accessories in the future, as well!

Perfect for my needs
15 January 2023

I got this my first stand mixer , this kitchen aid classic in onyx black . It works well for making doughs for roti and soft breads. I made cake batter , chocolate chip cookies , whipped cream , custard and it works great. Easy to use and clean up is a breeze. Sits pretty on my countertop without occupying too much space . Since I only cook for 2 to 4 people , I felt this was the right size at a reasonable cost. Am considering buying a bowl with handle as an accessory, might be more useful with pouring batters although no handle is not a deal breaker . I was debating between this and the deluxe model but I think the 25 watts less does not impede anything I want to do . I am loving it and wish it lasts me for a long time .

The perfect kitchen addition to ANY home
24 January 2023

Since buying the Kitchen Aid mixer, baking has become a FUN task rather than just another dish to be served. It’s super easy to use, has multiple speed settings for either whipping, creaming, stirring, mixing. You can buy different bowl sizes for example i use my bigger ones for cake mixtures bc they are PLENTY of room and the smaller ones I use for whipping cream into whipped cream. As well as bowls you can buy different heads too, I have a whisk and a spatula and I must say I will never hand stir something again! For people who aren’t too good with appliances/technology this really is a holy grail product. I can make virtually any batter in it. Well worth the money and most certainly is something I recommend friends and family have in there home! Works great but has a few drawbacks
4 March 2023

I bought this about 18 months ago and works great! Does everything I wanted and expected it would. The dough hook in particular works a dream! However the base is not as heavy as I thought so it moves around quite a bit on the counter when mixing on higher speeds and with heavier substances (dough etc). I have also had the bowl come right out of the base quite a number of times and the contents went all over the kitchen! I did contact customer care for a warranty because I thought it may be just a problem with my machine but they said that the mixer shouldn’t be used with heavy contents above speed 2 so bear that in mind! The last problem I have with the machine is that it’s really not made to be used for making smaller portions, the attachments don’t really reach ... MoreI bought this about 18 months ago and works great!
