If you love having anything you mix all over you, your hair, the dogs, the walls, the cabinets, the floor, the light fixtures, and the appliances then, this is the mixer for you. I don’t always need my stand mixer. I thought this hand mixer would be convenient however, no matter the speed, or size of bowl, it sprays everywhere, and anyone in the kitchen. So much cleaning is the opposite of convenient. Plus, when you use a deeper bowl or pan, the mixer itself gets covered too. It is a disaster. My sweet husband is now re-cleaning my kitchen for me, so I can shampoo potato out of my hair. Oh…my potatoes are not whipped btw. They are still lumpy. *Use a manual masher.

I just needed a hand mixer that would do the basic functions reliably. It appears this mixer will do that, and more, but only time and usage will show how it holds up to the tasks. The description here says 400w but the box says 300w for the 240v version. No wattage is listed for the 120v model I got. All I care about is whether the motor can handle a load and still keep doing the job. I created a physical load on the beaters that caused the mixer to slow down slightly from full speed, but the motor continued running well without excessive heat buildup. There are run-time limits listed in the instructions that I will try to follow. I doubt those time will create any real life problems with the uses I anticipate. There are run-time limits listed in the instructions that I will try to follow. I doubt those time will create any real life problems with the uses I anticipate. If I needed a constant use mixer, I'd use a full counter sized KitchenAid mixer, which is overkill for most of what I need. This hand mixer is relatively light and easy and convenient to use. The addition of dough hooks and a whisk is nice, although I have never mixed heavy breads with any hand mixer and would think that load would present difficulties for anything smaller than a full sized counter mixer. All the attachments and the cord fit well in the clear container that the mixer sits on/in for storage. There is even a slot for the cord to make the fit perfect. There is a lot of plastic in the mixer, including the sockets where the attachments are inserted. That isn't necessarily a bad thing, but I will be interested to see whether that will affect the the longevity of the mixer. The runout on the attachments is not perfect, but it's not bad either. There is some wobble along the same lines as with many hand mixers. I don't think it will affect the function. The eject button releases the attachments well and they are not difficult to insert. The 5 speeds are adequate for all my needs. The turbo function increases all the speeds except number 5 which seems to be the highest speed the mixer can generate. I like the turbo button for a temporary speed boost. This isn't the greatest hand mixer I've ever used, but so far it appears to be a good value for the money that will do all the common mixing functions will for a reasonable price. That's everything I wanted, and the mixer came with some extras too. Nice!

This makes it a breeze to use for extended periods without any discomfort. Another aspect that impressed me is the mixer's powerful motor. Despite its compact size, the KitchenAid Hand Mixer packs a punch with its efficient motor, delivering consistent and reliable performance. Whether I'm mixing cookie dough, whipping cream, or beating egg whites, the mixer effortlessly handles the task with speed and precision. I never have to worry about uneven mixing or lumpy batter, thanks to the mixer's impressive power. The KitchenAid Hand Mixer comes with a variety of attachments, including beaters and dough hooks, which make it versatile for a wide range of recipes. The beaters are perfect for light and medium batters, while the dough hooks are great for kneading dough and making bread. The attachments are easy to insert and remove, and they are dishwasher-safe, which is a huge plus for easy cleaning. One of the standout features of KitchenAid products, including this hand mixer, is their durability. The mixer feels solid and well-built, and I have no doubt that it will last for years to come. It has a sturdy construction that can withstand the demands of regular use in the kitchen. In terms of noise level, the KitchenAid Hand Mixer operates quietly, which is a bonus when you're working in a small kitchen or don't want to disturb others while baking. The only minor drawback I noticed is that the mixer's cord could be a bit longer, as it limits mobility to some extent. However, this is a small inconvenience that can be easily managed with proper positioning or an extension cord. Overall, the KitchenAid Hand Mixer is a fantastic kitchen tool that delivers on its promises. Its compact size, powerful motor, and versatile attachments make it a must-have for any home baker. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced baker, this hand mixer will undoubtedly enhance your baking experience. With its impressive performance and durability, the KitchenAid Hand Mixer is a worthy investment that will serve you well in the kitchen.

I love this hand mixer, and I cannot believe I waited so long to get it! You see, I didn't think I needed one because I have the KitchenAid Professional Series Stand Mixer, which is huge, awesome and powerful - fantastic for making bread dough or whipping up a European buttercream. However, sometimes you're mixing a smaller amount and you want to use a different size or shaped bowl, and that's when this hand mixer becomes so much more userful! It's perfect for whipping cream and mixing batter because you can move it into all the space (you'll still have to scrape a little bit, of course), and cleanup is so much easier because you're just washing the beaters. The shade of blue is gorgeous as well, and I love that it matches my stand mixer. It's so much more ... MoreI love this hand mixer, and I cannot believe I waited so long to get it! I don't use my mixer often. Maybe once a week for whipping cream or frosting as I have a stand mixer. A year after my warranty expired and something inside broke. Customer support won't ship the part needed, a small plastic fan blade that split in two. Probaby costs 25 cents to make. And it is super easy to replace. Customer service told me to toss it and buy a new one. Are you kidding me?!! I spend $50 for what I thought was a quality mixer that would last longer than the cheap brands. I was wrong. This one lasted half the time as my Hamilton Beach walmart hand mixer. Guess I'm going back to the cheap brand. At least then I'll have extra beaters for the replacement when it too dies in 5 years instead of 2.
I bought this hand mixer because I have always liked KitchenAid products - does not seem as nice as my old (55 yr GE hand mixer which finally died) light weight - plasticky - with thin hard to mix blades even the extra set - time will tell as I get used to this product - not as cheap in cost as some - but I thought it would be MORE! Disappointed by the extra warranty coverage I purchased on my KitchenAid oven less than 2yrs ago damaged during install by KitchenAid - door replaced in a day or two - but - then when using self cleaning feature 2nd time - the glass gasket was not sealed properly I called right away - and per KitchenAid warranty Dept - door glass seal my problem & not covered! What? Brand new - used a handful of times - self cleaned 2x. Glad I did not get the stand mixer - if small hand mixer “flimsy” & expensive new oven cheaply made - glass failure with seal (cleaning drips inside the glass) I don’t think I will recommend or look at KitchenAid in the future for home or apts or work!
I wanted a mixer NOT made in China -- this one is assembled in USA but is not quality I hoped for. When I received it (after it was shipped from near my town to the far side of state, then to another state before returning to the distribution point near me!), I thought I was going to have to return it. It was extremely difficult to get the beaters into the mixer, but I finally did, and then, the extractor didn't want to eject them! After the third use, the beaters are easier to insert and the ejector is finally working as it should. I am disappointed with the power, though -- my cheap 15-year-old China mixer was stronger at 3 speeds than this one is on 5. Maybe that will improve with time. I bought this handmixer to replace weaker ones I had inherited. The others didn't have the power to mix cookie dough, but this new KitchenAid had no problems at all. It's only a little heavier than the old ones, but much stronger. The extra power is worth a small amount of extra weight. I'm satisfied with the purchase. The only "concern" I have is that I wish that it came with a whisk attachment, since a matching whisk does not appear to be available to order on the website, despite the fact that KitchenAid does make a whisk attachment. In fact, I was able to buy a whisk for my KitchenAid handmixer on Ebay, which works great. But, overall, great buy.
