Klorane Quinine and Edelweiss Shampoo 400 ml

I'm in two minds about this shampoo....\n\nI've been trialling the quinine range for the past two months, as my hair, although generally thick and very curly, suffered major fallout due to medications. Large quantities were coming out every day, especially on my wide toothed comb, used during conditioning. Everyone believes that my hair is too thick to have sustained such hair loss, but as it's curly, I was able to disguise it better than those with straight hair. \n\nThe shampoo texture is quite thin, so with my hair, I had to use a fair wad of it to obtain an adequate lather, and the smell is quite medicinal...not exactly unpleasant, but it did conjure up emergency room visits initially, then tended to fade away after rinsing. At that point, having to use so much product, I decided it wasn't as economical as I first thought, given the reasonable price.\n\nUnfortunately, although my hair did recover quite well from the fallout and breakage, I do believe the shampoo wasn't nearly moisturising enough for my type of hair and tended to dry it out too much. I had to use a mask every time after using the shampoo because of it's drying effects. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for thirsty, curly hair, but in terms of saving the follicles, it did work very well. It's a half and half verdict from me. If you can get past the scent, and your hair is fine and slightly oily, then I'd say it's an excellent product to counteract the problems of fragile hair. The serum in this range is another story, and the true hero for me as a hair saviour. It beats the pants off other, more expensive brands in the battle of hair loss. If your hair needs added hydration, try the others specifically for those needs in this range. It's a quality company, no doubt.\n

Absolutely awful

Fior sio long Ihave been using the Centaury for my gray hair. Now, at age 69, my hair is beginning to thin and I decided to try the Quinine every few days. I have used twice. Not only does the shampoo not lather at all, and the conditioner is like using nothing- it tangles my hair, my hair is coming out more than ever and I immediately stopped using. I am very concerned. I cant be doing anything wrong.... And I had high hopers. I will be moving to Aveda. I am trying to reach them to see if I can get a refund, but I doubt that. I am really unhappy that this stuff was not effective because I love Klorane and have for years.

As the years gain on you this shampoo will help you recapture your thick healthy head of hair

I've been using the shampoo for about 2 weeks now and have noticed a substantial difference in the thickness and strength of my hair. I am so happy because my hair was thinning and I believe the shampoo is going to help me overcome this issue. I'm so pleased I've shared the shampoo with friends of mine who are now ordering from klorane directly. Love the ingredients the smell is very refreshing and there's an aroma that your hair gives off after it dries and you're walking by somebody it's very pleasing

Disappointed

I ordered the Strenghtening Shampoo and Conditioner and am really not enjoying it. I have medium, fine hair and don't use styling products. For the shampoo, I've followed instructions and have tried using it on both super wet hair and on hair that's had the water squeezed out. Yet it rarely FULLY cleans my hair and leaves parts of it feeling yuck. It's so hard to get it to spread/lather, or I have to use WAY to much to the point where it's unsustainable. Am I missing something here?I do give it props for being clean ingredients. It smells nice, however it does also smell like men’s shaving cream.

Drying, leaves hair Coarse

Several months ago I ordered your Strenghening-Thinning hair shampoo, after already getting your serum of the same ingredients. This is the WORST shampoo that I can remember using! Tried it a few times to see if it was a "user" problem, but no. Dried out my hair badly, and left it unmanagable. I did look at the reviews online, which at 1 or 2 stars agree with my assesment. I didn't see any responses to them, which is why I am using this route to you. I will also put this into the reviews section.

NEVER AGAIN!

I specifically wanted hair cleansing products for thinning hair. I took the questionnaire and 3 products were suggested. One was a large bottle of foul-smelling, brown shampoo. The conditioner was a relatively small tube of a creamy pink substance. (Anyone could see the shampoo was going to outlast the conditioner.) The last item was a spray bottle of a keratin product for use after shampooing...also with a foul odor.The shampoo left my hair severely tangled and hard to manage, even after conditioning. I ended up using my own conditioner and dangling spray. My hair continued to shed dramatically after 1.5 months of weekly washes. I was very unhappy, and wrote to Klorane for a refund. Only shampoo I use!

I work in an industrial warehouse & burn a good amount of calories and sweat throughout the day. With that being said I shower 2x a day. I have very thick hair but after giving birth to my daughter my hair line started thinning, specially in the corners. So I looked for a solution for my hair loss but I didn't want something that was chemical based. When I went to Ulta one of their representatives told me this shampoo was the best natural shampoo for hair loss. I loved how honest she was & told me they did have other products (Chemical based) for hair thinning that do work but the bad thing about them is that once you stop them your hair will begin to regress back to its damaged/thinning state. Scalp Cleansed

This is my first time tries the Klorane Shampoo. First of all, I love this shampoo ingredient which contains organic Edwlweiss Bio and Quinquina. It has a lightweight liquid texture with a reddish-brown kind of color which I guess came from the Edelweiss plant. This shampoo has pleasant herbs scent and a great lather to cleansed my hair scalp very well from the excess oil. However, I have naturally wavy, frizzy hair, and this shampoo does not soften my hair after washing, even after using a hair conditioner. So, I need to add more hair oil to smooth my hair afterward. I believe this shampoo will be great for anyone with straight and oily hair.

Volumizes My Hair

I have long, fine, wavy hair that's not as thick as it used to be. I've tried various shampoos and conditioners to address this; Klorane Strengthening Shampoo adds a noticeable amount of body to my hair, so it looks like more hair. Took off a star, because it also makes it appear a little duller, but the extra fullness keeps me using it. Think I'm seeing less hair fall in the shower, too.

I received a free sample in exchange for my honest review. I tried samples of the shampoo, conditioner, and serum as a set. The website information says 1-3 months is needed to start seeing results but the samples are not enough for that and I've only had them for about 2 weeks. So the only thing I can say is the shampoo does clean my hair. The scent is mild and not bad. I am interested in the ingredients and think they are unique. I would like to get the full sized set and try this longer to determine if they work for me because thin and thinning hair is an issue that I would love to fix. I do like that these are vegan. I would like the words SHAMPOO and CONDITIONER made bigger and more noticeable on the bottles.
