I have struggled along with cheap and basic water pump pliers for many years. Two of my pliers have worn out. I thought I would treat myself to some pliers that were kinder to me and more effective! In my search I came across these pliers and they seemed the answer to my prayers. I bought a pair and hope it wast as waste. But success! they work absolutely beautifully. They are very strong and rigid. They grip the pump ring nuts very reliably and safety with minimum effort. They hold there settings until I change them. They will tighten up to what ever level I desire. Putting it shortly they do everything they are asked to do well, easily, safely and satisfyingly. I cannot praise them highly enough. they are squarely in the professional tool category.

Best pair Of channel locks I’ve owned. Love the narrow handles and the jaws grip well. Once you set the size they don’t fall out. Nothing is more annoying than being at work in a tight space trying to use channel locks 1 handed when they open up and fall out of adjustment.Initially was annoyed that the lock was stiff and wouldn’t fall into place all the time. Once they were broke in they started working better. Still happens but not as often.Best pair of channies I’ve ever used as an electrician.

I have been a mechanic of sorts for most of my adult life. Over thebyears I have discovered the value of well made tools. Most of the time they can be overpriced and some people feeld that way about knipex. You will find that even though these are about 2 to 3 times the cost of your average pair of channel locks, they will out perform any set of adjustable wrenches at any price. Their are some copycat products out there that are not too bad, but in direct one on one comparison they still can't be beat. They are low profile and the button does not stick out so far that you get a accidental release like you may with a copycat like Milwaukee or Irwin. Spend the extra money engrave your name and never ever buy another pair.

Not only does the Ripoffs CO-02 sheath fit the 6 inch Knipex Cobra Pliers perfectly, they are also dirt cheap compared to the Knipex factory sheath.My Knipex Cobra Pliers gets used and abused on a daily bases. Has a great finish that seems to hold up very well to fighting off rust as my pliers gets wet a lot. The grips are also perfect as they provide just the right amount of grip and as of now have not pulled loose from the metal handles.I have worked with larger Knipex Cobra pliers in the past and have been very happy with the quality of them. I purchased these pliers to assemble things such as 3D printers and other electronics. I don't anticipate using them for pipes.Overall workmanship is quite good. I have several Knipex snips and these are equally well-made. There is a little play in the fittings, but perhaps unavoidable for this type of tool. The jaws do line up fine. Adjustment is easy with a push of the hinge button. The size is convenient, though be aware that this is a small and almost toy-like pair of pliers so keep this in mind if you have larger hands. Material quality seems quite good. The grip material is rugged and not that plasticky, slick coating that's on cheaper tools.I am satisfied with this purchase.
Its been over a year now and these 6'' Knipex plyers are still going strong. These may look like a toy but are anything but. Yes they are expensive but all hard working built well last forever tools are. I have a serious grip and brake tools often and I am unable to brake these plyers which is awesome. I carry these and the Knipex 6'' plyer wrench in my EDC bags because they are some of the best emergency tools you could have on you. Gas and water valves can be turned on or off, nuts bolts and even screws can be loosened with these two tools. I added the 8'' bolt cutters as well to my kit and they are impressive! I recommend any Knipex tool because I have 20 old tools from them that are still going. Money well spent!
I had previously bought two of the 10" knipex pliers without the locking adjustment and I love them. I went ahead and bought this set. Been plumbing for 6 years and Ive owned many channel locks, pliers, whatever you want to call them. Nothing compares to this wrench. It's a must buy, spent the extra few bucks and get the locking part it makes life even easier.Best set of wrenches out there. I can guarantee you'll be turning pipes you previously had to get the pipe wrench for because your prior pair of pliers just slipped.

My old channellocks were rusted beyond hope after getting wet just once a month after I bought it, meanwhile these Knipex pliers are incredibly rust resistant and will only patina or discolor slightly, which can be brushed up with a couple swipes from a scotchbrite.
