How many times have you heard someone say the right tool for the job? This is one of those tools. It fits in your pocket and is the only tool for some things. In fact the only negative about this tool; din’t lend it out, it will grow legs and never come back.

Best pliers ever

I first bought a pair of these pliers off of a snap-on truck in 2014, cost there was almost $100. Hands down the best set of pliers Ive ever owned, one of the most useful tools Ive owned as well. I do a LOT of mechanic work, these little pliers are so awesome and so small that they lived in my back pocket for YEARS. I have a friend thats always working with me who got to the point where he would just say need the minis . Finally last year I lost them under the hood of a customers car and honestly about cried when I realized they were gone . Last week I was at a different job and seen the Snap-on truck drive by, I couldnt chase him down like I wanted so I got on eBay and started searching. Anything from a pinch to a 14mm bolt:). I could keep going on about them but Ill finish with this, after purchasing my first pair, idk how i survived without them.. my pocket has felt empty without having my minis in them. If your reading this review to consider buying a set, just do yourself a favor and get them, you wont be disappointed

I have been using this 6 inch Knipex Cobra Pliers since receiving it from Home Essentials Direct back in Sept. 2013. This pliers is a perfect companion to the multitool that I also cary daily at work. After having it for a few days and seeing just how handy it was I started searching for a sheath for it. At first I was excited to find on Home Essentials Direct the Knipex 00 19 72 LE Sheath. Knipex Tools 00 19 72 LE Tool Roll Empty, Black Even though the Knipex sheath seemed a bit expense the description made it sound like it would be a custom fit for the 6 inch Knipex pliers. After receiving the Knipex sheath I discovered that it was to bulky and to large for my Knipex 6 inch pliers. After receiving the Knipex sheath I discovered that it was to bulky and to large for my Knipex 6 inch pliers. The Knipex sheath was so large that my Knipex Pliers would slip out the holes that where in the bottom sides of the sheath. After much trial and error with a number of different sheath I was able to find one that fit the 6 inch Knipex Cobra Pliers perfectly, the Ripoffs CO-02. The Ripoffs CO-02 has a belt clips that works perfectly for me, but if you prefer a belt loop on your sheath Ripoffs makes the same size one with a belt loop instead of a belt clip. Not only does the Ripoffs CO-02 sheath fit the 6 inch Knipex Cobra Pliers perfectly, they are also dirt cheap compared to the Knipex factory sheath. My Knipex Cobra Pliers gets used and abused on a daily bases. Has a great finish that seems to hold up very well to fighting off rust as my pliers gets wet a lot. The grips are also perfect as they provide just the right amount of grip and as of now have not pulled loose from the metal handles. I have worked with larger Knipex Cobra pliers in the past and have been very happy with the quality of them. This smaller 6 inch model seems to have the exact same build of quality and I'm 110% satisfied with them. I will be adding photos of my Knipex 6 inch Cobra pliers along with the Ripoffs sheath to the Home Essentials Direct product page. I hope you find this review and photos helpful. I love these. A friend had a small pair that he carries everywhere. I watched him use it to remove a battery. It was so easy I tried a pair. The cool way they grip makes them lock in so you don't have to have the muscle you need for regular pliers. I use them for everything. I keep a little pair in my purse and have been able to take out bolts that were stripped because of how they tighten down. Just a really good all round tool, especially if you are like me and don't have the grip strength you once had.

I purchased these pliers to assemble things such as 3D printers and other electronics. I don't anticipate using them for pipes.Overall workmanship is quite good. I have several Knipex snips and these are equally well-made. There is a little play in the fittings, but perhaps unavoidable for this type of tool. The jaws do line up fine. Adjustment is easy with a push of the hinge button. The size is convenient, though be aware that this is a small and almost toy-like pair of pliers so keep this in mind if you have larger hands. Material quality seems quite good. The grip material is rugged and not that plasticky, slick coating that's on cheaper tools.I am satisfied with this purchase.

Its been over a year now and these 6'' Knipex plyers are still going strong. These may look like a toy but are anything but. Yes they are expensive but all hard working built well last forever tools are. I have a serious grip and brake tools often and I am unable to brake these plyers which is awesome. I carry these and the Knipex 6'' plyer wrench in my EDC bags because they are some of the best emergency tools you could have on you. Gas and water valves can be turned on or off, nuts bolts and even screws can be loosened with these two tools. I added the 8'' bolt cutters as well to my kit and they are impressive! I recommend any Knipex tool because I have 20 old tools from them that are still going. Money well spent!

Knipex 5" cobra

They don't get any better than knipex, these are just the right size for EDC and iv bought 4 more since my first set. Noone will regret buying them, I carry mine in my pocket everyday never leaving the house without them, they do everything you need to in pinch or needing a quick repair, I even bought a set for my wife's sub and my daughters cars. Truly are better built and better quality than channel lock pliers. You will not regret buying these edc pliers, I even stopped carrying my Leatherman and put it in my bugout bag just because they are such better made materials and so much more comfortable in the hand.

Seemed absolutely fine *for what it is*. Many seem to miss that, however. To clarify, this is a 5" set of cobras. Some vid on youtube likes the teeth on the 6" model better, never compared both in person. Either of those seems fine for EDC, a smidge more leverage on 6"/better teeth supposedly, but I went with this one. I figured the hardest-to-reach-places would favor the smallest of tools. 10" Cobras will grip better, have lots more leverage, etc, this is the pocket version, easy to carry, great personal pliers, fits most anywhere, etc. -- *But never forget* -- 125 mm, about 5", this thing is *tiny*. I'd say the 7" model is "small" -- 5" is *tiny*. As in you can know it's gonna be super-small and still be surprised when ya first see 'em. Why? Simply put, the Cobra pliers, with their quick sizing button, perfectly formed jaws and ergonomic handles put all other slip joint pliers (and yes...I mean ALL of them) in the dark ages. The jaw alignment is spot on, the ergonomics is as well. The more you force the tool in your desired direction, the tighter they bond with the work. So much so, that once the jaws are set into the pipe or fastener, they will stay put until you lift the handle to release them. Try that with other slip joint pliers and you'll be putting band-aids on your knuckles. It's very difficult to damage the serrated jaws, but in the event you do...Take advantage of the lifetime warranty! The only way you can truly appreciate them is to get a set in your hands.
