Extream Chewer

Says on the package for light to moderate chewers (LMC). I never expected much more than the rope inside to last. We got the M/L fox option for our LMC, he loves his stuffed "babies" and is always so gentle with them. Unfortunately for him, our lady destroys every toy out there... so I figured at least floppy knots has a rope and barley any stuffing, so it won't be tossed out quickly. Both of them could not get enough of it, and still cant!!! The fox is still holding up beyond anything we expected, so we got the bunny. Same quality, durability, and satisfaction as before. I hope these are sold forever!

Fantastic tug toy, don't bother if you're just gonna use it as a chew toy

I take that as my fault for leaving it out with her too often and not putting it away after we finished playing tug. --------------------------------If you use this toy purely for tug and don't let them thrash it around and chew on it, I think it should last for a while. Maybe less so if your dog is bigger with stronger jaws. Don't let the low-scoring reviews sway you. This is a great toy as long as you use it right. Letting your dog sit around chewing on it without you engaging with them is not the right way to use this toy. If that's what you want, get an actual chew toy.

Great toy for lab pup

This toy is great quality, larger than expected, the material is extra durable like canvas. The head does have stuffing, the body has the rope inside and a squeaker. My pup loves this toy be cause he loves many textures, its playful snd mentally stimulating. He is a 5 month old working lab who is 40lbs and teething and has a love for chewing. He has chewed through plenty of toys and even cracked bones. This is has already last 2 days. I dont expect forever out of it but it is worth it to my if it lasts a week rather than him chewing on my furniture or his crate! Kong always makes toys that encourage postive and safe play for dogs and thats what we love.

Had high hopes
3 July 2022

I have a very aggressive chewer that is just under a year. He LOVES to destroy anything that squeaks. He loves stuffed animals but I’ve just about given up because he murders them all pretty quickly. This toy has promise. Our boy ripped an ear off and pulled out the rope from inside the ear within 15-20 mins. I expected that with the ears but thought the rope would be more durable but that came right off too. With the ear came all the stuff inside the bunny head. Other than that there is no stuffing in the rest of the toy. Hoping the rest of the body holds up better than the ears and head. A less crazy dog would probably do okay with this so I won’t totally write it off.

Holds up against my Pitador
5 September 2023

My 1 yr old Pit Bull mix is a thrasher, a super-chewer, who unfortunately hates chewing on tough rubber but likes rope toys and loooves stuffed toys. After trying all the top name brands and highest-rated stuffed dog toys I’ve realized she can tear threw any cloth covering within 30 mins or less . . . Except Kong stuffed toys, with the tough material!! This one & the similar styles/colors have stayed partly intact for weeks and she hasn’t lost interest in them. I like to re-tie the limbs/rope sections if they’re in fairly good shape, to give her new challenges.

Reptar's best friend

My boy is a Micro American Bully. So naturally he destroys all his toys. But this bunny is literally his favorite. He chewed the heck out of each limb and loved every second. The rope didnt completely fall apart into pieces like other ropes it held up nicely to fetch and Reptar pulling and chewing on it. Definitely ordering another one for him on payday! He loves his bun bun!

Stands up pretty good to aggressive tugger
23 April 2022

I received this 10 days ago. As you can see in the picture the fabric is ripped in many places. When you have 2 german shepherd mixes( one 50lbs and 65lbs) and 1 purebred Germans shepherd( 9months and 90lbs) it is bound to happen. They DO NOT tug gently. They tug with everything they have. Then to try and get one over on you shake their head like they are trying to kill the thing. With that being said the fabric for this toy has lasted the longest by far. I would normally have picked up pieces of frabic all over my livingroom by now and they would be playing with just the rope for about another 3-4weeks before that has to be thrown away. I am pleasantly surprised at how long the fabric has lasted. I do not let them chew on the fabric or rope.

This toy provoked some loyalty
17 January 2023

I really like that there' ROPE in it, which make it difficult for my dog Maggie to pull the stuffing out, since there is none. Maggie generally gets weary of new toys in a few days, but she exhibited a behavior with this one that she's not exhibited before: she took it with her outside, through the dog door and out into the backyard. Then brought it back in. She's now at the stage where she sniffs it daily but then decides not to play with it, but that was to be expected. I have to try to steal it to re-generate her interest. Pretty cool toy in odd, interesting colors. It was on sale, and it was Christmas, so...

Well made, but not for tenacious dogs

When I received the medium/large fox I was very pleased with the quality, design and different textures inside and outside of the toy. There are two thick ropes inside the body, there is what seems to be a durable thick cotton/polyester material on the belly and the rest of the body seems to be a heavy weight canvas encircled with plush orange trim. The toy is also pretty tall/long and I was very happy with that. I knew my 60lb "mouthy" Staffordshire Bull Terrier/Pitbull would love it, and she did!She was very excited when I gave it to her and it quickly became her new go-to toy. BUT, within a couple days the squeaker in the body broke. Not a deal breaker. There is a 2nd squeaker in the head. BUT, within a couple days the squeaker in the body broke. Not a deal breaker. There is a 2nd squeaker in the head. (I find in most toys the squeaker is the first thing to go but there are some toys with quality squeakers that last longer). About a week after I gave her the toy, she already had one of the rope hands and sleeve ripped, the ropes inside were exposed and unravelling, and strings were being left on my floor. She was having a good time with this one, but it had to go!I actually saw a video on YouTube on how to train your dog to play gentler with plush toys and rougher with bones and durable nylon toys. I'll have to try to work on that with her. I recently adopted her, she is 2 with an abundance of energy and fear of being alone. She always needs something in her mouth. She doesn't approve of all hard plastic/nylon toys so the hunt continues!!! Of course the original "KONG Classic Dog Toy" does not ever fail! And, I've also seen some really neat YouTube videos on DIY fillings that will make your dog work long and hard to get that treat out!I really do think this would be a great toy for a dog that doesn't necessary roughly chomp down on plush toys with the intent to destroy and demolish them. Once a plush toy starts to unravel my dog is so proud of herself and gets so much satisfaction from being able to rip the thing apart that she'll fixate on finishing it off! (Don't let that fool you! Pitbulls are a misjudged breed with a VERY Bad Rap. Most Pitbulls love to play rough, like most Huskies play rough especially when trained and encouraged to do so. Some simply don't know their strength or size, BUT most all Pitbulls give the biggest hugs, kisses, affection, attention and loyalty you will ever get from a dog. In the 1900's they were actually called "nanny dogs" "because of their excellence with children and humans in general." PLEASE do not let a few bad apples and targeted media sensationalism spoil the reputation of this breed! Apologies for the PSA, but I feel that I need to help advocate for the breed!)

What happened to the Squeaker?
26 May 2023

So, it's our Dog's Birthday & I thought that I'd get her some new toys & specifically got Kong toys because she had acquired some older Kong toys a while back. They impressed be with their sturdy build & beefy squeaker that was harder for her to kill. She's a medium sized dog (Corgi, Beagle, Pit mix) & absolutely LOVED those toys. Sadly the toys she received, though nice especially since it's a cute rope toy, had the tiny squeakers that she normally kills or punctures in her enthusiastic way she plays; zooming through the house squeaking the toy the entire way. Especially when I'm on the phone... Next time, I guess I'll just get the cheaper toy with the same squeaker inside... Really sad about this...
