She loves tennis balls but they have a 30 second survival rate. We purchased the Kong Extreme Ball in a small size and it's ever so slightly smaller than a regular tennis ball - it's perfect for her. Amazing. Tough. Entertaining.

My 1 yr old Golden Retriever absolutely loves this toy. She rolls it around on the ground with her nose and follows it. When it's loaded with peanut butter she's absolutely obsessed with it (but make sure to use the crunchy kind). It's an excellent distraction for up to an hour. So much chewing! And not worn in any way after heavy use for several weeks. Our only problem with it is that it rolls away from her under furniture that she can't get to - a minor problem really.

Brilliant for my English Bull Terrier and Staffie

Having two Bull Terrier, a Stafford Bull Terrier and English Bull Terrier, kings are the biz, I usually buy sports direct tennis balls as they are the hardest wearing I can find and last years. The black extreme ball is EXTREMELY bouncy, it bounces high, very well made, as to how long it will last remains to be seen, however my black extreme Kong, is still going and not a mark after 3 years. Having got two hard chewer dogs, I love these. Hopefully one day, they may make different colours. Age wise, my staff is 9 year old female, the English Bull is a 2 years old male. I am really happy with this product, so are my dogs.

Goes the distance

For heavy destructive chewers this is perfect. One week in and there's some bite marks on it but that's it. The dogs love having it thrown for them, and we love that they can catch it, play with it and chew it and it actually lasts. Kong extreme products are awesome. Love them for our dogs.

Heavy but super durable

I've always been a fan of KONG products for their durability, so when it came time to look for a ball this was the obvious choice--especially after my 1yr old shepherd managed to peel and destroy a few tennis balls! Right off the bat this nearly-solid rubber ball is HEAVY. I'm a little hesitant to throw it to my dog for fear it might bust her beak when she tries to catch it. On that note, it does bounce, but not super high, which is probably a good thing considering its weight--this ball can certainly take a beating better than your furniture, I'm sure, haha. The hole in the center of this ball is narrow, probably too narrow for most treats, but a little peanut butter would do the trick. Large is too small

I'd recommend Large for even small dogs. It's Medium at best. I have a English Staffy, a medium sized dog and he can fit this completely in his mouth, I wouldn't recommend this unsupervised. Could potentially swallow and get stuck in throat! Needs one size up. The Rubber is fantastic, recommend all Kong Extreme products for that though. Any dog that loves to chew, highly recommend Extreme Kongs. He Loves the Bone and Dental verity of Kong Extreme the most.Recommend the Large for a smaller sized dog. Medium upwards I'd avoid as there is to much risk of swallowing and chocking.

Not Good Enough for Power Chewers

I bought the KONG Extreme rubber ball for my power chewer, a boxer-lab mix. After about one hour of playing and chewing on the ball he started tearing 1/4” pieces out of it and swallowing the pieces. Very disappointed in this rubber ball. I will have to look for a tougher rubber chew toy.

Power chewer tested

Every dog needs a ball! My pittie mix loves toys, but usually they don't last anymore than 3 days. This ball however has lasted weeks and showing signs of minimal wear. She chew's it, rolls it, bounces it, and occasional let's me have it for fetch. Kong and Nylabone are the only brands I've found that make toys safe and durable enough for my little power chewer.

Sturdy!

I have a very large 70 pound German Shepherd puppy who annihilates every toy we have ever purchased for him within an hour or two of giving it to him. Gets expensive real quick! I heard about the Kong extreme brand and just had to give it a try, hoping that it would be as tough as they claim. They dont claim that its indestructible, but I am beginning to think that it is. I know there are some dogs out there with extremely strong jaw power, but my dog fits in this class very easily because he rips through things that you would think a dog wouldnt be able to destroy. good solid rubber ball

My Staffy can destroy one in about ten days, but it is BY FAR the best chew toy for going the distance. Most of the really expensive ones last him a day or two. This also bounces as a throw toy, but does sink in water. I buy them regularly 6 at a time and usually get the best price here. Would be nice if there was a discount for bulk buying!
