While I don’t have the black one yet, we have this red one that my dog absolutely loves! She’s so good at catching it in the air and it holds up well. We’ve had this for about 2 years and it’s almost in perfect condition. I just can’t get the dirt out from the circular lines around the frisbee.

My dogs DESTROY toys. It doesnt really matter what kind of toy or how "indestructible" it's supposed to be, within minutes I'm picking pieces up off the floor. This frisbee however, is a God sent! My 4 large dogs (pitbull, pitbull-boxer, boxer-rottweiler, and husky) can all grab a hold and tug each other around for hours! We started with the original frisbee, and while the dogs loved it, eventually the whole middle came out, however they still thoroughly enjoy their long "ring" lol. When we repurchased we decided to go for the extra strength version, and so far (over a year later...) it's still in one piece going strong! I highly recommend this toys to any dog owner, especially if your dog like to sit and tear at toys!

i just recently got this frisbee for my dog because he loves frisbee but also loves to chew his toys. previously he had the red kong frisbee that lasted over a year but eventually got a split in it from tug of war. i was so happy with it i decided to replace it with this black one, which so far he really enjoys he even seems to enjoy shaking it more than the last one. we really do love this toy it is his favorite,

Excellent to get my staffy x heart rate up, hes absolutely worn out after a 20 minute flyer session. However, if i dont take it off him and keep him chasing it when he returns it to me, itll get chewed very quickly. Its very thin albeit kong material. Keep it moving and youll be fine. Not sure whats extreme about it but my staffy x loves it.
As a younger dog our female rottweiler had this and did not puncture it once in a year. It failed after things froze here. She is now 20 months and we bought her a new one yesterday within several hours she has punctured a fair size chunk in it. I will be taking it back. Might have something to do with the bite strength of the breed. A rottie bite force is 328 about a hundred more than pit bulls and german sheperds. Don't know what or where to buy her toys. Nothing else stands up either. Good luck.
A little surprised by the number of negative reviews on this product. It is a case of horses for courses. This product is awesome for dogs who love chasing frisbees. I have two whippets who chase frisbees and this is by far their favourite. It is light and has great 'hang time' in the air once you get the hang of throwing it. My whippets love chasing and jumping for it which is a sight to see. Sure, it is a lighter rubber, but this means it really isn't for pulling/tugging activities. I have had my extreme flyer now for over 6 months and am about to get a second only because both dogs love chasing it so much and one isn't enough. If you have a dog that likes to chase and return balls/frisbees and not in the habit of tearing things to shreds, then this is the deal.
My pup normally destroys toys in 10 minutes or less. This one is good. Bought this one and the red one at the same time. Originally liked the red one better because it is not as flimsy but after using them both, I prefer the black one, even though it is not as visible in the yard. The black one is light and flimsy but it flies pretty good and it is tough. Ordered 2 more today, the original one just ripped but that was kind of my fault. She likes to play tug with it so I tug back, giving her airplane rides with it as well. It didn't rip then but I now know its limits. That must have weakened it. No more tugging or airplane rides. :) Happy though that she has not been able to destroy it on her own.
I would rate zero stars. Kong advertises this product as very durable. That might be true for a timid small breed dog, but certainly not for a large herding breed. It took my GSD about 10 min to completely destroy the disc. I sent a chat to Petflow with the intent of informing the company of the product durability, not expecting a refund. The agent immediately provided a credit. Kong has other flyers that are much more durable. To date the most durable I've found is Nerf which Petflow does not carry. The Nerf lasted longer than Westpaw which is supposed to be the most durable. If you purchase a Nerf, avoid the Howler. The knobs atop designed to whistle come off easily and the rim is very rigid.

The key is it is a soft, pliable material that is supported by the air in flight by high and low pressure physics applicable to flight so the disk takes a perfect form in flight. Once in the dogs mouth it is soft and flexible without form and the dog does not bite into it or bite down continuously to puncture it. I would certainly shop again with Homes alive; but I request that you solve the misleading information and advertising with KONG; I consider that "black extreme" flyer is misleading and fraud.
