Kong Puppy Dog Toy, Small, Blue/Pink

My puppy loved these as a little one. I never wanted to buy the fake cheese goop stuff to put in them however, so I used peanut butter. @ the beginning, he loved peanut butter a lot. A few months later after using this ( loving) he stopped liking peanut butter (lol what in the world we thought)! So, we started doing small amounts (very small) of yogurt or cottage cheese and he loved. He now sorta like peanut butter again. Silly boy! After a while like all dogs he got bored of them but that’s the idea with these :). These are great for puppy times V.S. adult. I got my roommate this 2 pack of kings for her dogs because she has two total(one male and one female), so the pink and the blue they could each have their own personal Kong. They love these durable dog toys. These are the exact same material as og original Kongs,just blue and pink. They may be slightly very slightly smaller than the original, but if so,not by much. My rednose pitbull loved his Kong as a toy to play with, so that's why I got her Rottweiler and pitbull this kong duo. My dog uses his kong to bounce, chew when teething, and we hide snacks inside of it to keep him busy for a bit. It's extremely durable for larger dogs. It can last years after purchasing. Then the fact that this can be a toy or a device that holds peanut butter or dog treats to keep your dog busy,especially when they're a puppy,and it isn't made cheaply, you can rely that it's not going to break off into pieces or your dog is going to ingest it. This being multipurpose,reliable, AND SAFE is a huge selling point. It is great. A dog toy that you can trust. If you have two dogs, they're probably going to love this kong duo!

I have the puppy Kongs in Blue and Pink. Kong makes high quality durable treat dispensers that last. Nevertheless puppies need to be supervised while using these because of the small size. These are most appropriate for puppys between weaning (8 weeks) and a few months old. Cleaning the tiniest Kongs also requires a set of small bottle brushes and straw brushes to ensure all debris and germs are removed. My dogs have had no issues continuing to use these as older puppies but sizing up is recommended.

So we just got this for our Boston terrier puppy, she’s turning 1 in December but she’s still such a big chewer!!! we wanted some thing that was small enough she could carry around, but was durable enough because let me tell you she chews hard! We’ve only had it for a couple days, but she does not let it out of her sight, she takes it everywhere she goes, and we usually can’t even locate it! We’ve put peanut butter in it a couple times, but she really doesn’t even need anything in it! She chews it regardless! I don’t even know where it is currently because she hides it when she’s not chewing it! It is very durable and very effective for what we need it for! Definitely worth the money… after all, it has saved shoes recently.

We got the puppy Kong version that’s pacifier shaped when we got our puppy and we’ve loved it! We used it for peanut butter, we froze it sometimes, but also put his kibbles in it to make his meal time more mentally stimulating and slow him down. As he grew, we got him a bigger more durable adult kong version but we still use the puppy pacifier shaped one to fill with peanut butter for shower time because the handle makes it much easier for us. They’re dishwasher safe and easy to clean! I use a bottle brush for any leftover peanut butter that dishwasher doesn’t get.

Still have it in one piece and he still plays with it. More if a catch now! But the reason I stated dual usage ! My last dog had a large kong and broke it in half - I contacted the company and they sent me this little one and told me to put it in the big tree one which they also sent me a replacement ( great customer service that Stands behind their product ! It was a little tough getting it inside - they suggested liquid soap - with a lot of maneuvering we got it in the bigger one and it made the bigger one more durable for his strong teeth . GROSS

I thought this would be a great treat/toy for our new puppy. I ordered the squeeze stuff to go in it and added it to the toy. Gave it to our puppy and off she went with it. She struggled to get the food out of it because her tong was just not long enough I guess. Apparently she gave up on it and hid it under her doggy bed. When I found it many days later it was a putrid ,disgusting, nasty thing. I took it straight to the trash can. This is the first one of these toys I ever purchased and it will most definitely will be the last. Total waste of money.

Great For Puppies

These kongs are a great thing for puppies.I discovered that using a canned version of puppies dry food works best because it's formulated the same way and reduces the risk of upsetting tummies.It's best to fill half way with canned food, then hide a tiny piece of treat in the middle, cheese works well, then fill the rest of the way with canned food and freeze.Puppies will get teething relief from the cold plus their going after hidden treat keeps them busy for a while.Frozen kongs also make great training tools for crate training, just toss one in the crate and say 'go home' for the command.When I have puppies I have 5-6 of these kongs in the freezer at all times just to have on hand.Consult with your vet before using just to make sure it's ok

Warning!

My puppy loved his puppy Kong, especially with Kong 'Easy Treat' stuffed inside. It was a great teething tool and kept him entertained. But a warning to all dog owners - only use with direct supervision! My young lab pup swallowed it whole! 2 months later, following stomach surgery and a $1100+ vet bill, my pup is now recovering. I wasn't home at the time and it's a wonder he didn't choke! Keep an eye on your dog whenever you give him a Kong toy.

You're gonna be glad you checked the reviews

This toy is a sick joke. The puppy does her best to get all of the goodies out, achieving about 17% success. When you ask the internet how to clean the remaining goodies out of the toy, it says, "Soak it." So you do. Bugs, wet mess, wet everything. And the stench!!! You can't even throw the toy away in the kitchen trash can--it has to be taken all the way out to the herby curby. I wish I had read reviews because I cannot be the first to have shared this information.
