Korg microKEY 2 - 49 Key Midi Controller Keyboard

I use this with fluid synth and jack on linux. I was worried that getting it all working would be a hassle. But it was not so bad. The keyboard feels reasonable and fit's on my desk better than a full size keyboard.

Feels and looks better than expected for the price. There are a few rough edges due to Bluetooth technology being what it is, but I can't see any faults yet on Korg's with end delivering a workable bluetooth midi controller.

Is exactly as advertised. Great feel as I'd expect from the Korgsters. It works a charm. And as a plus, it comes with some great plugin instruments.-Yanster the Beatster #EyyeMaekBeets

Awesome Keyboard

It works as it's supposed to work. If you want a Cadillac, by a Cadillac. If you need a midi controller for you studio, don't waste money on something else.

Best compact keyboard you can get

Great keyboard, which was on my wishlist for almost two years. The most important thing I wanted to know was the velocity response and that is very good for a mini keyboard. I also like that the keys are slightly larger than your normal mini keys but still compact. The build quality is plasticy but the good solid kind unlike other competing brands in the same pricerange. I'm selling all my other mini keyboards due to having the korg microkey in the studio. USB plug 'n play and bundled with a very nice set of Korg software, including the M1 Le, Izotope Ozone elements & RX elements, Reason Studio's Lite and much more including iOS apps.Recommended !

Excellent small controller!!

I bought this so I would be able to take a keyboard with me on a vacation, rehearse with my wife who is a singer and to get ready for an upcoming recording session. I'm using it with an iOS Ravenscroft 275 piano app and quite frankly,married to the app, it's pretty amazing. Not the perfect keyboard for piano of course but by far the best plastic waterfall type keys I've ever played with a piano sound. The size doesn't seem to present many problems and I have large hands. Very easy to play and very expressive with good velocity sensitivity. Could easily do a gig with it in a pinch. Very well made and I am happy with it. Plus I had a bag that it fit and I brought it as jet flight carry on with no problems. Great little keyboard

Been looking for something to fit on an under desk keyboard tray. This fits perfectly and has a great feel to the keys considering it’s size and cost.

Great little keyboard

The Korg microkey 49 is an excellent keyboard for MIDI entry and for travel use with an IPad. I was looking for a mini key keyboard and Korg was the only company I could find thar made a 49 key with mini keys. Most mini keys are 36 key or smaller. I was trying to decide between the microkey 2 and the air. The deal on the scratch and dent microkey 2 I found at musician's friend made the decision for me. I don't miss the Bluetooth as the apple lightning camera adapter works beautifully.

This keyboard was much better than expected and probably as good as you can get in a mini keyboard without going up to the more expensive and heavier Arturia mini keyboards. I am fairly particular when it comes to full size keys and the response and do not suffer spongy keys gladly. I did however need a small keyboard for a particular appliction and expected to havr to put up woth poor performance in doing so. This was not the case however and the keys respond in a light but positive way if that makes sense.I am extremely pleased with this and would recommend it to anyone needing a small keyboard.

This is really good stuff, but it is quite expensive considering they recommend 3 bottles to completely work. There has been a very noticeable difference to Charlie's feathers and he seems to be more out going towards other people
