$76.57

(344 reviews)

The nanoKONTROL2 offers all the controllers you need for comprehensive control of your music software across eight channels, all in an optimally proportioned housing that fits perfectly in front of your laptop. A transport section has also been included, with a selection of knobs designed to ensure simple and intuitive DAW control. The nanoKONTROL2 works with most music programs, including all major DAWs, so complicated connection settings are a thing of the past. Each of the eight channels features a knob, a fader, and three switches, each assigned to the parameters of Pan, Volume, as well as Solo, Mute, and Record. This setup is very convenient for recording automation across multiple tracks. The added marker button helps mark important song sections, allowing for efficient workflow. For use with software synthesizers, parameters can be assigned to other desired controller numbers. For example, the faders of the nanoKONTROL2 can control the ADSR envelope of the synthesizer, while the knobs can adjust the filter cutoff frequency, resonance, or other parameters. Simply connect your computer to the nanoKONTROL2 via USB, and you have a mobile music studio. The nanoKONTROL2 is powered through the USB cable, which means one less cable and a tidier workspace.

If you are looking for a quick and inexpensive way to move around your DAW, look no further. This DAW control surface is amazing helps with cycling, making markers, and doing essential functions like play, stop and record. It even lets you move your tracker by bar. There are 8 faders, each with their own mute, solo and record button. This is perfect for the crowded or small studio space. Easy plug and play ability. The only downside doesn’t have a punch feature for dubs but that’s just an easy shortcut.

The unit itself is fine - just as described. But the 'user manual' - despite being in almost every language spoken by human beings! - is both misleading and missing almost every bit of needed information. And an online search of the Korg website produced another document about the controller which was even more puzzling and useless! But the price for the controller was quite reasonable. So - after much experimenting - you have a satisfied customer.

Affordable, useful controller that is great for streamlining your workflow. Works well with most DAW. It’s a lightweight and low profile device, so it won’t take up too much space. It’s relatively easy to set up and use, but will need some lateral thinking to get around not having moving faders when you are scrolling through fader banks. Given the price of the package, it’s not a big deal though. The in built transport function is good, but i am really finding the individual solo, mute and record arming functionality attached to each very useful.

Amazing - it just works.
19 August 2020

Amazing! After an unsuccessful experience with Korg's NanoKontrol Studio (which I liked for it's Bluetooth connection) I tried the NanoKONTROL2 and it just worked - with latest [August 2020] driver and my versions of Mac OSX Catalina and Logic X 10.5. It's amazing to have hardware control of 8 channels (1-8 or 9-16, etc) of Logic and see the on-screen controls changing. Less reaching for the mouse. I liked it so much, I bought a second one to have 16 hardware faders. It's cheap, It just works, and that's a rare and wonderful combination. Highly recommended.

Great took for Mainstage 3
6 January 2023

We use this controller on the Mainstage keyboard setup for our worship teams. Has all the normal channel cobtrols we need, and the small form factor has minimal impact on space. I normally just lay it over the trackpad of our MacBook, very convenient. The thing just works.

I love IOS music apps, but I don't care for doing on screen adjustments of parameters. I purchased the nanoKONTROL2 to allow me to have real drawbars and rotary pots for IK's B3X. This works better than I had hoped. The 8 sliders are CC'ed with the top 8 drawbars, and the 16' is controlled with the left most rotary pot.Various buttons engage percussion, vibrato chorus tabs, and two more rotarys control the vibrato/chorus wheel and overall volume. Very compact, and I have it Velcroed to the keyboard during use. Nice piece of hardware.

I'm satisfied with Korg nanoKONTROL2
4 May 2018

I bought a black Korg nanoKONTROL2. It fits perfectly in every different set. Mapping and controlling parameters on Mainstage 3 are easy and I was able to do that at a glance. The faders and knobs are smooth. The buttons, faders, and knobs are small, but after working a while, you become familiar with their size. There is no buttons backlight, which makes hard to figure out if the parameter controlled by that specific button is on or off. You have to check on Mainstage 3 Perform view to check the parameter status. While playing alive, it is hard to find which specific controller I have to press or to slide. The contrast between buttons, faders, and knobs with the background is low, for all have the same color. Pretty Good
17 August 2022

This product is pretty good and is very versatile when it comes to mapping types of controls to your DAW. The only fuss is pressing the cycle and set button every time you connect it to Ableton, but other than that everything is good, has a nice built quality and is fairly light. I would recommend.

Why does it use a MiniUSB cable?
18 August 2021

This product is great. But why is it still using old technology like a MiniUSB cable? I immediately had to buy a longer cable (since this one is only 3 ft), since this is not a common cable anymore. Even a microUSB is more common now a days. But it should be using a USB C cable. I don't feel that mini USB inputs are reliable for longevity. I have had many ports broken in the past of other products. Hopefully this last. But overall I am happy.

simple. very useful

It's a very simple controller - if you need it you will use it. I don't like midi maping for the DAW's.NO support for REAPER (you can try if you're very patient - no success guaranted). In LIVE works pretty well. Sliders are great but knobs seems to be a bit loosy.
