I wanted to love this devices. But I just like it, it does exactly what it says its going to do. But I absolutely dislike that the power cable goes into the side of the device, it adds a good 3-4 inches in length because of the charging cable. Buttons do not have as much tactile feedback as I expected, but given the prices I should have know. It is however well built, it does not feel cheap, the buttons feel nice.

It’s compact and highly functional. Can use it with my iPad and computer with excellent software support via Korg’s software and lots of third party software too. My plan is to take it on the road with me and it is light and very sturdy construction means that I don’t have to worry about it in my bags. Korg bundles a lot of software to download and a three year warranty. Only one downside is the lack of lights around the pads. Otherwise, an awesome bit of kit for a great price.

I only use the NanoPad2 at home to record. It worked fine from the get-go - even before I downloaded the Korg USB driver - Cubase recognized it and responds well to it. The pads are fairly responsive. The Korg Kontrol software took a few tries, but works well and lets me assign specific notes to specific pads so I can put drum kit pieces where they are convenient for me and match the different kits I use frequently. The only potential drawback I see is the USB connector which seems a bit exposed and fragile.

Got this to replace a Launchpad mini. The mini pads are too small and too close together and they're not very accurate or properly reactive. The nanoPAD2 has bigger pads with more space between them, so it's not so easy to accidentally hit 2 at once. They don't press down, they just react to the pressure. This makes them very accurate and reactive. With the editor app for PC you can program 4 scenes to have whichever notes you want. The touch screen controller is neat but I haven't found a practical use for it yet, but it is fun to play with, especially with arpeggio synths!
I have only played with this for about an hour but I thought I would write a little about it while I had the chance. This thing came out swinging plug n play to my mac using garage band and Battery 3. I would have tried it with pro tools but I have to get a newer verision for my new mac to be able to do so.Back to the point the thing is made out of plastic so as long as you don't use it as a baseball bat you should be fine. Did I mention It is small the pictures do this thing no justice. For less than a hundred bills you can't go wrong.I needed it to be able to use Battery 3 and have triggers and more more control. It does what I needed it to do and I can pack it easily into my bag and go.For me it was better than shelling out 2-3 times more money for ... MoreI have only played with this for about an hour but I thought I would write a little about it while I had the chance. Very nice. Works seamlessly with the Korg Kronos 2, so there's no need to use the built in touchscreen 0n the Kronos 2 for drum pads and instrument chords anymore and it also has a pad which works in the same way as the ribbon on the Kronos 2. Just plug it into an unused USB slot on the Kronos 2 and go, no drivers required. There is also a dedicated app, which is free to download from Korg's website for Windows/Mac, to be used with the DAW of your choice. It's small, lightweight and very handy. There is also a card with a code on it to download a suite of VST's, VSTI's and a DAW included with mine, all for 50. 5 Stars from me thank you...
The best value software bundle I think I've ever seen from Korg. Simply put, the software is worth the purchase price twice over, without the device. The pads are good and seem really responsive. The X-Y pad is ok, but could be smoother, however, at this price and the compact nature of the product, nothing to complain about here.
My neighbors had a huge party. There was ton's of booze in their trash and this raccoon was drinking it all. He came at me like Mom on Thanksgiving. I yelled calm down little homey but bit my girl, Looty right on jeans. Her jeans hurt really bad. He had Looty cornered up against the dumpster. I went inside and ate a Ham and Cheese Hot Pocket for POWER. Then I grabbed my Laptop and my Nanopad 2. I went outside and started dropping some fresh beats. The furry little trash panda danced his heart out for like two hours. He even apologized to my Looty and gave us each a glass of dumpster booze. He was upset because animal control took his little brother Scarple. This was an education. I thank YOU KORG for making it easy for me to please drunk trash pandas. I have had one of these puppies for a little while now and while I am satisfied with it I regret not spending more for something more extensive. It isn't very sensitive but it does do the trick especially if you are more into electronic music production. The X/Y feature is fun to play around with (particularly the interesting keys that are preset that you can select) but as far as recording/performing it doesn't really serve much purpose. Ultimately if you have a decent keyboard with pressure sensitivity this isn't really necessary. However, if you are not a keyboardist and are looking for a very inexpensive (comparably) and effective way to track digital drums you can be confident that this will do it alright.
The Korg NanoPad2 is great product compered to its cost.Function added to the early version are real improvement.Ive appreciated Scale and Arp function.Boundle software is a good gift:Korg M1 Le has a grat sound (the only drawback is that in my configuration it need an ethernet connection every time you start it).AAS plugin are fine, i appreciate Strum Acoustic Session and good sound of Lounge Lizard.Toontrack solo has a very limited nr. of drum element but is a gift and you can always upgrade .
