Kristin Ess The One Signature Conditioner, 33.8 oz

I originally got this for me because I wanted to try something new and saw mostly good reviews. I have thin hair and have issues finding a decent shampoo but this is amazing. It didn’t make my hair feel greasy, didn’t leave it dull and honestly to me the scent isn’t very strong so I did like that part. My step daughter has dandruff and I try to find products for her so never crossed my mind to have her try this but she borrowed it and I was shocked how clean her hair looked even the day after! Her hair is thick and gets greasy and flaky easily but literally after one use it made a difference! She was happy and now uses it constantly. So, anyone that has dandruff, I’d say give this a shot.

I thought I would like this. It smells so pretty, sweet, clean and floral. I really thought I would like it. It lathers up A LOT. I have thick hair and I usually use an embarrassingly large amount of shampoo, but only a little bit will cover my whole head nicely!! I don’t like it because it caused my scalp and skin to break out in very bad cystic acne all around my hair line and on my scalp. I got it all alone my forehead and in my heart line as well as all along the nape of my neck and in my hair also. Not sure if it’s just because I switched shampoos to this? Or what. But I’m stopping use due to this. I don’t need more acne and it seems to just come back every time I wash my hair.

BEWARE OF HAIR LOSS

I used this along with the shampoo and at first it was okay. The smell was great. After each wash I noticed my hair a little more dull, a little more brittle and losing some hair. I thought maybe it was due to stress so I kept using it not thinking it was this product. HUGE MISTAKE. Not only did I lose so much hair but also my daughter’s hair which made me more upset. Reference; We both have two completely different hair textures. I threw away the bottles immediately and I’m working on getting our hair back to what it used to be. Yes, I know we all have different hair and will react differently, but just take this hair loss possibility into consideration when using this shampoo and conditioner.

I am Hispanic and had thick beautiful black hair. It was recovering from prior hair loss and was truly thriving but this shampoo made it worse. Let me just say I used it for 3 months and it made my hair fine and damaged. I kept using it Becuase I liked the way if clarified at first. But after using it so often it dried out my scalp. My scalp began to throw flakes out and itch so badly. It felt like my scalp was burning when I scrubbed my hair with it. The Amount of hair loss is insane also. Literally, you can see my scalp when I put my hair up in a ponytail. On top of that IT SMELLS LIKE PURE CHEMICALS. The smell is not flattering at all. Decent scent, slightly damaging

I bought this set over three months ago. I actually rotate shampoo and conditioner sets to avoid buildup (hopefully my method works?) i seldom do reviews, but i must say that i bought this set on a whim (the 10-ounce bottles). I liked (or so I thought) the idea of a set of shampoo and conditioner a little more costly, assuming it was worth the extra cost. I *loved* the scent of the shampoo initially (the novelty wore off, but now, the conditioner on the other hand…) Even while using it the first time, I noticed this strange texture to my hair after rinsing out the shampoo; A Straw-like texture. After conditioning my hair and rinsing that out, it was less “straw-like”. Holy. Grail. - someone with fine, flat, impossible hair

I adore this stuff. I've always opted for the super cheap drugstore conditioners (i.e. Herbal Essences, Pantene, etc) but loved the look of this bottle so bought it on a whim, and wow, am I thrilled I did. My hair is EXTREMELY baby-fine and thin and has also taken a huge hit on fullness from trichotillomania. Of course this won't help with regrowth, but my eternal problem with conditioners is that they leave my hair with that heavy, greasy coat, yet ends dry as straw. This stuff really is weightlessly moisturizing as the bottle claims and is the only conditioner I've found that leaves my hair super soft yet light and bouncy - make sure to just apply from the ears down! It has a beautiful fragrance that isn't too overpowering and lingers on my hair days after using ... MoreI adore this stuff. I'm opting out of spending $32 for 8oz of a "luxury brand" shampoo...I've been a fan for years, but that price point - for shampoo!! - is just ridiculous. Enter Kristin Ess. I'm late to her party, but discovered a YT'er with fine hair using several of her products & so I did my research. Excellent price point on her line, accessible. I first purchased travel sized shampoo & conditioner - LOVED them! Personally, I think the scent is beautiful, feminine, clean, not overpowering but it does linger - I like that. I have naturally fine, one straight hair, healthy & plenty of it; my hair felt fresh, clean & soft after using these products. My New Go to!!

The smell of this shampoo is amazing i have never smelled anything like it before and i am obsessed! The second i smelled it in the store i threw it into my cart! The bottle is so elegant and although i have extremely thick wavy hair which requires a lot of product this is a good amount. The price is reasonable and this is more of an "affordable but luxurious" product. The shampoo lathers sooo well i get every crevice of my scalp. I highly recommend following up with a clarifying shampoo the next wash after but either way i love this shampoo!! It's soo moisturizing and smells incredible

No thanks

Bought this tonight in a bind, and figured it was in with “ salon” grade products so it couldn’t be bad. Wrong!! It’s terrible. It lathers up to a dramatic, sudsy disaster.. like why? Brands that are “clean” don’t really sud up because they don’t have a bunch of toxic fillers, so immediately red flag. The conditioner did the exact same thing, I had to look over the bottle well because I thought maybe I had accidentally grabbed two shampoo bottles. My hair feels awful dry and I used another conditioner after because I couldn’t even get it smooth and hydrated in the shower. I’m returning tomorrow which I can say I’ve never done with a shampoo and conditioner. This is literally worse than hotel sample packs. Never again!

This needs to be taken off of the shelves

I really wanted to love this product. It was a last minute pickup for some summer travel because I didn't have a chance to pick up a travel size of my regular salon conditioner. Well, it turns out, when you use this even just a few times, your hair can indeed fall out. I have really thick and healthy hair, so when it started shedding excessively, I noticed it, but thought it might be because of stress or something else. But it only got worse, and then I saw all of the reviews and mentions of past lawsuits over people's hair loss/ damage with this entire line. I've stopped using this and my hair is still shedding more than normal, but it's calming down. I'm now in recover and repair mode for my hair hoping there isn't long term damage.
