This lock worded for about 2 years, then I spend 5 minutes everyday just fiddling with the key, trying to just unlock the lock. This has been going on for a year. Sometimes I’m late, and here I am, looking like a total fool just trying to unlock my lock. I went to get this fixed and a bike shop told me, “oh that’s super common with those locks”

Kryptolock is highly reviewed for its resistance to cutting tools and is, in my opinion, the best in its price range, but I was happy to find the key lock smooth and efficient. It has a sliding cover to resist rain. I keep it locked onto my basket with the U hanging down and the cable wound around the basket so it takes up almost no space when not in use. The cable neatly winds through my front tire to fully protect my bike. I could not be happier with this purchase!

The bicycle is awesome and rides smoothly. Upon assembly, however, I had to make some minor adjustments. The chain, for example, was too tight, so I had to loosen the chain tensioner a bit. I also switched the stem to angle upward for my height. Besides those minor changes, it runs smoothly and comfortably. I’m 6’2, but I bought the medium height for easy adjusting. People have commented about the color scheme saying how much they love it. The weight is pretty light also. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who’s looking to casually and comfortably ride without compensating for speed too much. :)

Had to buy a 'Sold Secure Gold' lock for our eBikes for insurance cover. We already had a Silver rated Kryptonite and thought that was good, so thought 2 of these would do the trick and they do. Very solidly made, easy to put on and off except the cable is a bit of a juggle to get to the thick lock bit as recommended. It would be easier to just put it on the 'U' bar but arguably not as secure. The cable is used to secure the rear wheel as the shackle is not big enough to go round frame and wheel on an eBike, it does on a normal bike. If someone levered off the cable, they would only get the rear wheel so hopefully not worth the effort. I like the slide over cover to the key entry, it keeps out grit and water to keep the lock working. A little hefty, but if you want ... I keep my bike outside at the apartment complex I live at, and someone attempted to steal it. The cable was cut, but the lock itself was strong enough or took long enough that my bike was luckily not stolen. Besides some small damage to the back brakes, my bike is still all there. I called up Kryptonite and they said that I can keep my same anti-theft protection offer as long as I let them know the ID of my new lock. I would definitely recommend this lock and Kryptonite for being so helpful!
This "U" styled lock is very rigid and durable leaving me feeling satisfied with my bike being secured. Always wanting to try the Kryptonite Kryptolock, I was a bit skeptical to try something new. The lock is heavy than it seems, but not overly. The weight let's you know that it's there with purpose, and that's to protect your bike. I am very satisfied. I've made my own theft deterrent chains over the years, but this U lock is going to be my go to lock for securing my $600 bike. As riding has become the norm in my area over the passed few years, so has bicycle theft. This lock takes that fear away.

It is the largest and heaviest U-lock I have used on my bikes and feels quite sturdy and not at all clunky to lock. It also has a keyhole cover. I would highly recommend factoring in the dimensions, especially if you are going to use the FlexFrame U Bracket. My bike does not have a traditional smooth and rounded frame which made attaching the bracket somewhat difficult, or just made it less useful as it felt loose. Because of the size of U-lock I was steered towards putting the bracket and u-lock in a less than ideal place, but it worked out, nonetheless. This is definitely a heavy duty bike lock! Unfortunately the instructions are hard for me to understand on how to use the nylon strap with shim, that is the only reason I am giving this a 4 star review. The u bracket is large enough to use by itself to go around the bike and a pole, and easy enough for my son to use. We have had combo locks that can easily be cut, but this one uses a key and the metal is very thick and sturdy, so there's no way to cut through it. Overall I'm very happy with this, but if I could figure out the strap, I may be even more happy with it!
The U-lock is amazing. It’s really secure and different than any other lock you would use. It’s heavy and keeps my bikes safe especially whenever my son needs to use it to prevent someone from taking his bike. The long neck of the lock can wrap around creating a secure lock. It comes with 2 keys and no one can get it open. It’s the greatest lock I have seen by far. I recommend anyone looking for a strong reliable safe lock this is the way to go.
Easy to use and easy to keep with the bike. This is a strong lock that secured my bike wherever I go.It comes complete with a nice bracket that makes it easy to carry the lock with the bike at all times.So many times a had a lock , but left it behind because I forgot to take it. Bracket straps on to the bike with many variations or orientations to match your style and model. It comes with two keys , so I keep one on my keychain , and the other in a safe place at home. It was very easy to lock and unlock. No lock is 100% , but this one is substantial enough to deter most thieves. I feel it more than serves its purpose to secure my bike. I recommend it for quality , value , and functionality.
