I have only recently tried Kérastase Première Decalcifying & Repairing Shampoo and trust me, never has my hair been this good. Nice choice of metallic accents with the product, label and contents displayed clearly.Product: Opaque, creamy texture that gave a feel of a light formulation. Had a slight fragrant aroma but leaning towards clean, medicinal with a touch of citrus (likely the limonene compounds coming through). Despite the viscosity, it lathered well both with hot and cold soft-water. The product penetrated well and reached the scalp which allowed for adequate coverage for the initial amount of product used (For my medium length hair, I used about a tablespoon's amount). It doesn't feel dense after lathering and settling in on your scalp. Washes off easily without leaving residue. The medicinal scent wears off with a good rinse after ... The pre-shampoo worked really well. My hair was left feeling noticeably softer after using this product. I did find with my long, thick hair, I had to use A LOT to feel enough of my hair was covered so the product could run out quite quickly for those with longer locks. I also found keeping it on my hair for 5 minutes, followed by 5 minutes for the shampoo and 3-5 minutes for the conditioner quite time consuming (for a mum of two under 5) and a 15 minute shower isn’t always realistic so I wouldn’t be able to use all three products all the time. The after result was lovely and I imagine with continued use, my damaged hair will feel healthier. This makes the application of shampoo very easy and I didn't need to use as much shampoo as i normally would if applying to plain wet hair.
