I received the Kerastase Premiere Concentre Shampoo from Kerastase and BzzAgent in exchange for my honest review.I was able to try this in conjunction with the Premiere Concentre pre-shampoo treatment and mask to best determine the product line's efficacy on my hair. I'll begin by mentioning that I have 2B/2C hair which is naturally black-brown, color treated for some greys, and is fine but full-bodied. My hair is also considered long with minimal damage.I'll begin by mentioning that as much as I love Kerastase styling products and conditioning treatments, I'm not a fan of their shampoos as they usually leave my hair feeling dry and brittle. This shampoo, unfortunately, was no exception. I used it both with and without the pre-shampoo treatment just to see if I noticed any difference in the efficacy of the treatment alongside the shampoo. I did find that when used with the pre-shampoo treatment, my hair was slightly more dry and felt stripped as opposed to when just using the shampoo itself, but the shampoo still seemed to do the trick of removing the mineral deposits from my hair. It becomes a bit challenging to tell when Kerastase shampoos in general leave my hair feeling dry and brittle. That being said, I did feel like my hair was clarified and lighter as a result. The lather was decent and I didn't find that I needed a lot of product to achieve this. The bottle itself was great and the product dispensed easily without issue. It's also very aesthetically pleasing, on par with Kerastase's other products. The scent wasn't a favorite. It struck me as chemical-scented and not relaxing in the way I'd hoped my shower experience to be with products that run this pricey. That's just personal preference, though. I often find Kerastase products to be scented in ways that aren't a personal favorite of mine.Overall, I think that this product does what it's intended to do (remove hard-water deposit buildup), but prepare for very dried out hair.

I tested this shampoo alongside the entire Première Decalcifying & Repairing pre-treatment and conditioner. From the first use, I found that the product worked well to soften and add shine to my hair. This is the first decalcifying/clarifying shampoo I have found that has been so effective at removing built-up hard water and excess calcium that and is so gentle on my hair and scalp. I found that the shampoo emulsified and lathered well into my hair, and also had a pleasant citrus/floral scent.I found the shampoo to be quite moisturising which was lovely at first, although I found that it unfortunately worked against my fine, high-density, curly/wavy (2B-3A) hair once it was dried. The moisturising properties weighed down my curls quite a lot and caused my hair to lose a lot of its natural volume, particularly close to the root of my hair. This made my hair become greasier quicker than normal and made me lose a lot of my natural curl pattern. Also, I am not sure if this was normal, but I found that using the shampoo made the lengths of my hair feel very stringy and fragile when wet.Overall I would recommend this shampoo as part of its range as a good decalcifying shampoo, however, I would not personally recommend it for everyday use, particularly if you have fine, curly/wavy hair, or if you normally experience an oily scalp. I feel like people with straighter hair would adore this shampoo, however!

I used the Kerastase Premiere Decalcifying & Repairing Shampoo as the second step in a 3 step process, using the pre-shampoo first and following it with the conditioner.I’ve used it for two weeks now following the instructions - leaving it on for 5 minutes each time. I’ve honestly never had healthier, stronger or shinier hair than I do now. I have blonde hair (natural blonde but currently with blonde dye in it to get it back from the last time I went dark), and my hair is usually brittle and dead from previous bleaching. It has so many split ends and constantly breaks. After using this as a trio, my hair instantly felt stronger. I’m noticing less hair falling out and less hair breaking off when I brush it.The way that I style my hair after I wash it also seems to ... It has so many split ends and constantly breaks. After using this as a trio, my hair instantly felt stronger. I’m noticing less hair falling out and less hair breaking off when I brush it.The way that I style my hair after I wash it also seems to last for days - I plaited my hair with slightly damp hair after a wash and I had the plait curls for 3 days, even after brushing it out. I blow dried my hair after a wash and it stayed straight for another 3 days. It seems to really strengthen the bond in the hair and the keratin obviously has a great impact on the way your hair holds a style. The bottles are quite small, and it’s a very expensive product, however I have very thick and long hair and I’m stunned by how little of the products I need to use. Using the pre-shampoo first has meant that the when I apply the shampoo next, it lathers so much further because it’s already been cleaned in a way. I normally go through a lot of shampoo so I was surprised to not have to use much at all! The small bottle actually seems as though it will last for ages. The shampoo is also more of a cream consistency rather than a transparent gel type, and I was nervous that it wouldn’t spread or lather but I was wrong and very pleasantly surprised!I find the product to have a really nice smell, too. Not overpowering but a fresh and salon type smell. I love it.I would definitely recommend using this - it will only do your hair a world of favours, however the price tag is the only thing that would discourage me. But if you can afford it, do it. And it does last longer than you think it will. Highly recommended.

I trialled this shampoo along with the pre-shampoo and the conditioner and can say it is an absolutely gorgeous set. I have thick, curly, frizzy hair and am often skeptical on new products but this kerastase range is brilliant. The shampoo alone is excellent, it is not at all drying or stripping, which many shampoos can feel like. I also didn’t need to use much to go a long way so cost per use is better than some cheaper brands.Absolutely worth trying if your hair needs a reset and refresh.
I’ve done extensive research on how to repair my damaged hair (and prevent further damage), and have tried many of the popular hair repair products including k18 and olaplex. So needless to say, I was really excited to try the kerastase range!I have long wavy/curly hair with slightly damaged ends due to bleach. I tried this range for 2 weeks and really have noticed a difference and would purchase these again.I followed the instructions with the repairing concentrate pre-shampoo, and applied it to damp hair in the shower and left it on for 5 minutes. The texture was gel-like and silky, and it smelled really nice.anAfter 5 minutes, I then applied the shampoo directly on top of the pre-shampoo treatment. The shampoo was so luxurious and thick and I honestly felt like I was at a hair salon. My roots felt so clean after but not stripped at all.I then applied the conditioner and left it on for 5 minutes before rinsing. The conditioner was also super thick and moisturising and left my hair feeling really smooth.Overall - I loved this whole range. It was super luxurious, and felt like I was at a salon. The packaging and smell was also great. I can’t say I noticed a huge difference in the improvement in my hair quality, but I know this takes time. It was definitely easier to style though. My one minor issue is that using the whole range takes a long time - you end up being in the shower for over 10 minutes, which is a lot when I’m trying to save my water consumption :).
I wasn’t a fan of the packaging for this product. Having to unscrew the cap, find somewhere to set it down in the shower, and then struggle to screw it back on with wet hands is inconvenient. While the packaging itself looks sleek and fancy, it’s not practical. I wish the cap was either attached or designed differently to make it easier to use.The product has a thicker consistency than the pre-shampoo, which I appreciated, but it doesn’t lather easily unless you use a generous amount. The scent is lovely—luxurious and reminiscent of a salon experience—but unfortunately, it fades once my hair dries. That said, I did notice a big improvement in how my hair felt after using it. My hair felt softer, was much easier to run my fingers through, and had significantly less frizz. However, one thing to keep in mind is that if, like me, you have naturally straight hair with a slight wave, this product may reduce that texture. I found that it completely lost the wave when using this product, which I usually enjoy. The trade-off is less frizz, but at the cost of losing some natural wave.Overall, I think this product lives up to its claims, and I enjoyed using it, but I can’t see myself purchasing it regularly due to the high price point and the relatively small size. This feels more like a luxury product than something I’d incorporate into my everyday routine.
