La Mer The Revitalizing Hydrating Serum 1 Oz/ 30 ml

I purchased the La Mer hydrating serum about a year ago and I’ve used it several times since then, typically in the fall and winter months. It’s wonderfully hydrating to the skin and helps moisturize it better than a lot of similar products. My skin feels super smooth after using it. You can use the La Mer moisturizer after it for maximum hydration. As much as I love this serum and would definitely recommend it, it’s a bit pricey to use as an every day serum. But it’s perfect for when your skin is needing that extra boost when it’s drier.

I gave and tried this product line despite it being insanely expensive. This is way out of my budget and I honestly was expecting something miraculous from using it. It is supposedly good for all skin types, especially anyone seeking hydration. It is a very lightweight cream serum with a little slip. Takes a minute or two to absorb but there is not a greasy or oily residue. It also has lime tea concentrate.I know the company has been around for a long time but after I did some research, I realized the manufacturer has been failing at providing information about this product’s efficacy to serve as proof that the product does work as claimed. The product does have a fragrance, it doesn't smell like the traditional La Mer scent. It is more of a chemical scent that dries down into a floral scent.The final verdict, it is hydrating but nothing incredible happened. I kept looking in the mirror hoping to look brighter, see any type of plumping, or just something to justify the price. I am in my late thirties and I have some very, very minor fine lines....it did nothing to help them. The product was hydrating but I personally didn't see anything to justify buying this again.

Chemical Scent

I purchased and returned this product. I had received a smaller sample size as part of a La Mer kit. The sample size was nothing like the larger bottle I purchased. The bottle was not as moisturizing, a completely different texture and the scent was heavy on the chemical side. I’m not sure what ingredients are in the product but the scent alone was enough to return. I use the La Mer softening crème often. Will look into their ingredients more.

Great

Great serum. I bought it hoping to give my skin extra hydration, I hear a lot of positive about this brand and then decide to buy this product. After first use I feel that my skin was changed and feel more soft and hydrate. I would definitely recommend you try it if you are interested in getting further results with your current regimen. Very hight price but its worth to try it.

Love this product!!

My favorite in the LaMer line. Have been using for years. Goes on so lightly, yet offers immediate softness with the slightest fresh appealing scent. Will be crushed if they ever discontinue. It’s not inexpensive and I go through a couple bottles a year, but I use very few facial products and absolutely feel this is worth my investment.

Luxury Serum

I have been using for a year for my dry skin. It is almost my most favorite serum! I’ve used quite a few serums, but this one is different. It smells like the sea, and not unpleasant. This serum is soft and leaves my skin soft and more radiant. I am 68 and have dry, dull skin. This helps with both. Expensive but worth its results!

Saved My Face

I am 27 years old. 24-26 I was on medication that made my skin horrific. I had a grey tint, dry patches, tons of dermatitis type bumps and just a whole mess of a situation. I went off the medication and my skin cleared up but still felt dry. I gave the regenerating serum a try but I wasn't crazy over it. I then tried the concentrate which cleared up my redness and relaxed my face but still wasn't super blown away. I then found a sample of the Hydrating Serum in my bathroom. My god did this change my face over a course of two weeks and obviously still currently using it. My face feels like it did when I was 19 and still had tons of life to my cheeks. Smoothing but not for me

This is hydrating and makes my face look smooth. I am using a deluxe sample and it pairs nicely both with La Mer and Barbara Strum moisturizers for a smoothing, radiant-looking complexion. However, in looking at the ingredient list I was very surprised to see ‘red 4’ and ‘blue 1’ - artificial coloring - listed. Maybe this is normal in skincare, and it’s something I’m going to look for from now on, but I was very surprised to see it in such a high end product. I also try not to use silicon (which is beneficial for smoothing skin of course but tends to irritate my skin a bit). But it does have other beneficial ingredients, so it’s definitely a serum that would be suited for some people, just not for me this time

Worth every penny

Gave this to my daughter a week ago….was on FaceTime with her and couldn’t get over how bright and glowy her complexion looked ….asked her what changed and she said she had been using the revitalizing serum. She lives in a very cold place and usually every winter suffers from terrible over dry and chapped skin - instead she looks like she just walked out the spa ! Awesome results considering how soon after starting the new product it transformed her skins appearance

super light serum

I’m La Mer user for last 3 years, every month I like to get some item just to try. I also use skincare products from La Prairie and Amore Pacific. This serum is a nice adding to my daily facial routine. It’s extremely light and easily absorbs into my skin, it has white color so I thought it might be creamy and milky, no, it’s super thin liquid almost like a water. I would relate it to Moisturizing Soft Lotion. It gives nice Matt finish to my skin and dries in seconds. No grease, no oily look. If you have sensitive skin like me with acne something, it’s a perfect product for you. It’s also very good for summer time.I like rich creamy products only for night time before I go to bed.
