I've been a long time user of La Roche Posay, and some of my favourite products from them over the years have been their SPF daily lotions. First things first - this comes in a tube with a pump and clear pull off cap. \n\nThe product comes out easily, and doesn't make much of a mess. It's easy to spread on the skin, but does end up a bit of a greasy mess. I usually take the time to go and sit down for breakfast while it sinks into the skin. BB creams are very problematic for me as they are either the wrong undertone (usually too pink) or way too dark for my light skin. When I first dispensed a pump of product onto my hand, I was really worried this one was going to be way too dark because it has a lot of colour to it, but when applied with a light hand, it actually works. Two ways I like to use this... First is blended with a bit of La Roche Posay Touleriane Ultra Light. I use about a half pump of this combined with an equal amount of the Touleriane Ultra Light and that keeps my face hydrated and looking glowy and bronzed, but in a way that still looks totally natural for me. However, using it in this way does diminish the SPF, which brings me to the second way I like to use it, which is pretty much ... MoreBB creams are very problematic for me as they are either the wrong undertone (usually too pink) or way too dark for my light skin. This ensures I get the full measure of SPF. I like the first way during the cooler months and the second way is perfect for summer when I’m outdoors more. Of all the BB creams I’ve tried, this one is my favourite. It isn’t perfect (I don’t think I’ll ever find one that is perfect for me), but it is absolutely something I can work with.

I like this product a lot more than the Tinted BB Cream version. The consistency is still creamy but feels lighter & easier to spread on the skin. However, I did feel that this Anthelios Ultra Cream is slightly heavier on my oily skin, especially during this hot summer weather. It is definitely a moisturising formula that leaves a glowy sheen on the skin & feels a little greasy. The formula is gentle & fragrance-free, so it does not irritate my sensitive skin. I also find that this sunscreen is really effective in protecting my skin from all the harsh sun rays, preventing my skin from becoming tanned or burnt.\n\nWhat I love:\n- The pump & tube packaging is really convenient to travel with & hygienic.\n- Very high sun protection that makes it effective & ideal for ... MoreI like this product a lot more than the Tinted BB Cream version. This sunscreen comes in a size perfect for your handbag and with a lid & pump that’s easy to use. The ingredients are paraben free and on the box it has information about the testing that ensures it is formulated for sensitive skin especially sensitive eyes. If you open the box it also has a privilege code that you can register at the La Roche-Posay website for benefits. Love, love, love this sunscreen. I love that it’s 50+for super protection and love the fact that it’s not thick and gunky like most 50+ products. It sinks in well, I have found a lot of high protection sunscreens sit on skin with a white ugly film, this doesn’t do that. It’s perfect for those with sensitive skin as it causes no irritation. unfortunately it’s useless for anyone or anything else. This is a foundation, not just a tinted sunscreen. It does say that it’s a “BB cream”, so I guess I can’t claim that there was any false advertising, but I was still surprised. I expected this to be a normal tinted sunscreen, and applied 4 whole pumps to my face, just like I would do with a regular suncreen, and it looked like I had poured a bottle of greasy, splotchy foundation all over my face. It has a LOT more coverage than any other tinted sunscreen I’ve used before, but it doesn’t look or behave like an actual foundation. I had to wash it off right away. On the upside, the color absolutely does not look too orange on my warm medium skintone. The reason I still really like this product and will probably buy it again, believe it or not, is that the “sensitive eye innovation” is no joke. I’ve used plenty of sunscreens labeled “sensitive” and so far this is the only one that hasn’t given me any eye pain or eyelid sensitivity AT ALL. It’s shockingly comfy on the eyes. It has enough coverage to hide my undereye circles and make me look more refreshed on days where I don’t wear makeup. As an spf eye cream I love it and would it recommend it to anyone with a warm medium skin tone. If you’re planning on applying the correct amount of this to your face to use it as an effective suncreen (4 or 5 pumps), I don’t recommend this at all. It will gather, pill, streak and just look generally disgusting. If you plan to just apply one or 2 pumps and use it as a regular foundation, I still don’t recommend it, because any random foundation with spf from the drugstore will look much better than this and will come in much wider range of shades.

Image is extremely misleading, very disappointed
26 May 2022

Based on the marketing image, I figured the tint would be fine for me seeing that I'm the same colouring and skin tone as the model. How wrong I was. It's so so orange. There's no way on earth the model in the marketing photo is wearing the product. Very misleading and I'm really disappointed - complete waste of money. Had the model actually been wearing the product I would have gone with the non-tinted and been a repeat customer.

Way too dark

I am a first time user of this one. I was hoping for a high SPF sunscreen that could double as a sheer, natural looking dewy foundation. Decided to lash out and purchase a ‘good quality’ sunscreen which would cover & disguise my redness and pigmentation from previous sun damage. The colour is dark orange and doesn’t blend to match my skin tone at all. Stays that color and makes me look like a orange clown. I probably should have stuck with the L’OrĂ©al BB sunscreen for a lot less cost and better coverage. I will now mix it with one of my other foundations so that I can at least use the rest of the product and don’t just throw it in the bin and completely waste my money. Be aware that unless you are lucky enough to already have a very dark skin complexion that you may ... MoreI am a first time user of this one. I will now mix it with one of my other foundations so that I can at least use the rest of the product and don’t just throw it in the bin and completely waste my money. Be aware that unless you are lucky enough to already have a very dark skin complexion that you may be disappointed with the colour match of this cream. Unlike a CC cream the colour it goes on is the colour it stays on your skin. Some creams like the L'OrĂ©al CC are a green colour which then blend to semi-match your own skin tone. This one does not do that. The colour out of the tube is the colour it stays on your skin - ORANGE. Positive points; it is good for sensitive eyes - it did not make my eyes watery and red like some other creams, my skin felt hydrated after using it, there was no adverse reaction in regards to my POD or acne. I should have read the other reviews before purchasing this one. Check out the lower scored ratings on the reviews for this product prior to the higher scored ones if you have fussy, slightly problematic skin as you get a good feeling for potential issues you may also have.
