La Roche Posay Anthelios Ultra Fluid Face Lotion SPF 50+

Have finished 2 bottles of the invisible fluid and bought more to stock up during 1.1 sale. Super great deal. Love that their sunscreen is easy to apply, lightweight and doesn’t leave any white cast. Also love that it’s travel sized and last me long enough. Trying out the oil control version this time as well. Strongly recommend their sunscreen! Items were well packaged and prompt. All items expiry 2026. Buy more for freebies! :)

Excellent (but not for me)

I used this sunscreen daily for like 3 years before realizing that it was the reason for my near-constant forehead acne. My dermatologist insisted I switch sunscreens for a month to see, and, just like that, my forehead cleared up and has stayed clear ever since. I felt a bit silly, then I was actually a bit disappointed because I really loved this sunscreen. I think it's one of the most comfortable and well formulated North American sunscreens out there. No white cast and very little shine. It never ever caused eye irritation, no matter how sweaty I got. So if it doesn't break you out, I would strongly recommend this sunscreen.

I seldom write reviews, but I wanted to say I am very pleased with the re-formulation of this sunscreen. UVA radiation is immunosuppressive, causes premature aging, contributes to persistent hyperpigmentation, and can exacerbate certain skin diseases. With the re-formulation, this sunscreen now offers some of the best (along with the Bioderma Photoderm SPF 50+ Milk, with a PPD of 42) UVA protection in the Canadian market.Although it has removed Mexoryl SX, it has added other UVA filters that ultimately improve the UVA protection. It is still important to keep avobenzone in the formulation because it is effective against very broad UVA1 (greater than 380 nm), which is an area that Mexoryl and Tinosorb start to lose effectiveness.Despite the alcohol, the vehicle is not drying and is quite moisturising. They were also able to decrease the overall amount of sunscreen filters in the formulation (by replacing some of the homosalate with ensulizole, which is a very light-weight filter), while simultaneously improving the UVA protection.While LRP does not divulge the PPD of this particular formulation, the new canadian formulation is very similar to the french Shaka fluide (which has a PPD 46), so I can only postulate that the PPD of this product is also quite impressive.It is not too shiny, but I believe if one has oily skin, the face may become dewy with frequent re-application (sunscreen should be applied more than once a day, every day). Unfortunately, this is common with water-resistant sunscreens, but its water resistance is good in terms of offering longer-lasting UV protection.I wish there were more formulations with Tinosorb S/M in the canadian market (Avène has some, but they unfortunately include fragrance). Hopefully I will not have to wait too long to see that happen!

Great sunscreen filters, BUT greasy as hell!

I have very sensitive eyes and all chemical sunscreens that we have in Canada sting my eyes, except from this one. This was the first sunscreen that did not sting or burn my eyes so I was so excited to have finally found the one! I am very convinced that this is because this sunscreen contains newer SPF filters like Bemotrizinol (Tinosorb S). The consistency of this sunscreen is watery and light-weight and is very easy to apply and reapply throughout the day. The only downside to this sunscreen is that is SOOO shiny! You end up looking like a greaseball. I would recommend this for people that enjoy the dewy look. Not For acnes or oil skins

Broke me out and made my skin like a pan of oil. Bought this product along with other products from them. I kept using it for 6 months and still didn’t understand why I had so much more acnes and pimples. My skin at the end of the day felt like somebody just poured a litter of oil to it. I stopped using the sunscreen and changed to another product. Turn out it was because of the sunscreen. Not recommended for anyone with acnes, combination and oil skins.

Very lightweight, and no white cast

Really nice formula, very lightweight and no white cast from the cream. It's very liquid and doesn't melt and burn your eyes. I went hiking in the mountains wearing this cream and I felt like it protected my whole face but my nose.I feel like it's really expensive as well, and there are probably better options out there. But nice to try.

long term user / new bottle cause skin reaction

I have been a long-term user (for many years) of this product with no issues. Recently purchased a new bottle and as soon as I applied it, my skin began burning. Seems there possibly was a change of formulation, ingredients or manufacturing, however Customer Service has not responded to that question. They requested I return the product to them but no explanation as to why I am now reacting to a product I've used for many years.
