I have been using the LaRoche Posay Cicaplast Balm UV as my daytime combo moisturizer/sunscreen for the past couple of weeks. Generally speaking, I am fairly pleased with this product and will continue to use it as a lightweight summertime sunscreen/moisturizer. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this moisturizer/sunscreen blends into my skin very well, leaving very little white cast. I also find the scent very mild — there is a hint of a “sunscreen smell,” but it is not super obvious like in other facial sunscreens. If you use the recommended amount of sunscreen (1/2 tsp or 2 finger lengths for the face and neck) then that white cast is here to stay for hours. And using the recommended amount of sunscreen only creates more problems. The product is very emollient so that much sunscreen just sits on top of each other, slipping and sliding throughout the day. I can easily scrape it off with one swipe of my finger. And later in the day, any rubbing of my face (such as adjusting my glasses) causes the balm to pill.I will not be using this as my main sunscreen. With the way this formula works, I would feel better protected if I used it as a spot treatment on irritated parts of my face during the day.

I think it would be great for winter sports like skiing and snowboarding where I want that extra skin protectant in addition to a sunscreen when up on the mountain and the sun is also reflecting while the wind is coming at me. I enjoyed the look it gave my skin once it was fully smoothed in - similar to a primer in that it had a sort of blurring effect on my pores/imperfections. This cream is meant to be a treatment for severe dryness, including cracked, chapped, and irritated skin.
The Cicaplast Balm B5 UV sunscreen by La Roche Posay is amazing! This sunscreen is then only sunscreen I will put on my face. The sunscreen truly did it job and it didn’t break me out at all. This is a great product that I highly recommend. I also sweat a lot all day and this sunscreen is water proof so it didn’t come off. This product has dimethicone skin protectant/ sunscreen, therapeutic multi purpose cream. if you have cracked shaved or chapped skin this product will work great for you and protect you from the sun. Make sure you apply this 15 minutes before being exposed to the sun and reapply every two hours. If you use this correctly, you will get the best results, if you have not tried this product to highly recommend it.
