La Roche Posay Cicaplast Gel B5 Skin Protectant

I received this product for free from Influenster in exchange for my honest review. La Roche Posay Cicaplast Gel B5 is a great product. It seems thick in the beginning but definitely glides on very thin and absorbed very well into the skin and not staying thick on the skin. I used it after a medical laser procedure and enjoyed it not having any kind of greasy feel. I was happy to see the improvements made to my skin barrier in accelerating the healing and calming of my skin while not disturbing the fragile and sensitive state it was in. I also used it on my lips during harsh cold temperatures and found it to be very protective and my lips didn’t chap at all. Even got my 6 year old to use some. But this Cicaplast GEL is a wonderful go-between, for when you need something moisturizing, but your skin is just too sensitive. It still gets the job done properly, too. Not fragranced, as per usual. Not sticky. Absorbs well. Highly recommend!

My skin barrier is always disrupted after getting my eyebrows waxed. It has gotten better over time with consistent waxing, but I break out no less. So when I received this tube of Cicaplast Gel from La Roche-posay right before my brow appointment, the timing was perfect. I dotted a small amount to the brow area immediately after they were waxed, and I used a little more after completing my skincare routine that evening. I continued dabbing a small amount to the brow area morning and night for two more days, and my skin healed so quickly. I was shocked how minimal the disruption to my skin was with the use of the gel. I’m always hesitant to try out new skincare products because my skin is a little sensitive so I started off by applying this just to my nose. It’s a little pricey, but it’s worth every penny; because if you’re like me, chapped lips, keep you from doing things you enjoy, like biking, riding on boats, sledding with your family, or just going to the beach where there’s a lot of wind. The product comes as a protective gel texture, and is pin free and fragrance free and it comforts and protects even sensitive skin like mine. Another neat fact that I learned about this product is that it is commonly used for postop procedure care on stitches and laser treatments of the skin, and is very gentle. It really does feel great on sensitive skin, and provides hydration and makes your skin fe youthful and restored. This brand is one that I trust because it’s been dermatologist tested for safety, and is free of steroids, antibiotics, fragrances, parabens, lanolin, and is allergy tested for safety. I would 100% recommend this product to others, and plan to use it every time I go to the beach or engage in outdoor activities, or have any kind of surgical procedures for my aftercare. I would definitely recommend this product to others!

The tube has a skinny applicator but be careful, a lot comes out with a little squeeze and a little goes a LONG way!! It does have a weird scent to it at first, but once absorbed, the smell completely goes away and there is no lingering scent at all. I thankfully have not had any recent procedures or stitches etc, so I’m unsure how it works post-procedure or post-stitches, but I have lots of dry patches on my face due to this cold weather and my husbands hands are so dry and cracked from working outside. A few days before I received it, I had been building things in my garden without gloves and caused some serious damage to my hands (I wish I had taken before photos). They were peeling, rough and crusty like I had never seen before. Peeling skin, what an awful sight! I had been trying lotions to help my dry skin, but it wasn't having much of an effect. I received it just in time as I’d recently burnt myself with my hair straightener. As it was beginning to heal, I used it over the course of a couple weeks. Not only did it help with healing my burn, it also worked great as a moisturizer. Unlike previous instances, I didn’t experience any peeling from my burn. For those who are sensitive to fragrances, this gel is fragrance free. My favorite part about the gel is that it was fast absorbing. It didn’t feel like grease just sitting on top of my skin like other similar products do. A little really goes a long way. Godsend for perioral dermatitis 

I've struggled with this extremely frustrating condition for a couple years now and have to be very careful what I put on my skin. The LRP cicaplast balm has been touted as a PD remedy for a while now, I used it and did not have any luck. But this stuff... yes! I put it on my problem areas, just a little bit, before my nightly moisturizer and it seems to be healing and strengthening the area so well. Since it is a gel it doesn't occlude the skin the way the balm can. Occlusion is one of the worst things for this condition. It has no irritating ingredients and the soothing actives and gel barrier are finally giving my skin the opportunity to heal. Mind you, I have not put this on during a bad flareup, so I cant say if it helps or hurts.
