I received La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Lips Hydration Restore lip Balm from influenster in exchange for my fair and and honest review of this product. As some one who suffers with chapped lips I’ve tried a lot of products. Usually lip balms are all the same and to be honest I really thought it would be just like any other lip balm, but i was honestly surprised. I used this product daily for 2 weeks, multiple times a day and I immediately noticed a change. My lips stayed hydrated and moisturized even with excessive licking of my lips. A little goes a long way

This product was recommended to me by a fellow member of the La Roche-Posay Community and I'm so pleased I listened to her. I've only used it twice so far as it only arrived today but it's already my current favourite lip product.I live in a rural location and within 1 mile in any direction there are open fields so, particular in freezing temperatures like it is at the moment, it's important for me to look after my skin, particularly those exposed to the biting winds.I thought I would put it to the test and I took my pups for a little walk. Did not work for me

I've been using a night lip balm and its been working GREAT, and during the day i use chapstick totalHydtation whenever my lips need some hydration. I was not really in need for anything new for my lips. I got this La Roche cicaplast just to give it a try but did not produce any benefits for me. It was matte when i applied it. At end if the day my lips felt dry and start to crack (also have to be reapplied after couple of hours). I keep giving it patience for 3 more days ~ but nothing. Made it worse so i had to used my night balm during the day just to speed up the healing (i mean, already do this on somedays together with my chapstick anyway because the night balm is just soo good to me).Not recommend. I'll stick to my current routine.

New Favorite Lip Balm!

I've never bought a lip balm so many times so quickly... that's how much I've loved this product. Here's why: it has gentle, trusted ingredients. It does have Sodium Saccharin (a sweetener) in it but no fragrance or other flavoring. It moisturizes and applies like a balmy chapstick and then dries down. It's a different feel than vaseline-type products b/c it's more of a matte moisturization which is unique. It's great to use before a lipstick or gloss. If you want a thicker goopy balm, this isn't it but you could use a thicker application or apply a basic goopy balm on top over night to seal in the moisture from this LPR balm. I have a minimum of two on hand at all times!

Much like the other reviews stated, I love LRP products. It is one of the best, least irritating brands I've used for my dry, ezcema, and rosacea-prone skin. That heing said, this cicaplast lip balm isn't perfect and it's cons will keep me from repurchasing.The product leaves a white film/cast on the skin of my lips and alomg the lipline, which means I can't use it during the day. The consistency on the lips is... odd. It's almost between a balm and a greasy emollient... it's far too distracting for me (I keep rubbing my lips together thin it) and may not be for everyone.The packaging is a squeeze tube and if you aren't careful, may dispense too much product, which you either use or wipe off, and that can be wasteful.Finally, the price and amount of product, ... MoreMuch like the other reviews stated, I love LRP products. I had very inconsistent results with this balm until I figured out what it's really doing on the lips. Either it was amazing and healed my perpetually chapped lips, or it only added to the dryness!Basically, this balm creates a barrier so that moisture can't get out -- or in. If you put it on already super dry lips, it will do nothing but *temporarily* feel softer because you're feeling the balm itself on your lips. But it won't actually add hydration. Some of the ingredients seem to strengthen the lip skin a bit, but the moisture barrier is the main thing it's doing.Instead, the best way to use it is to hydrate your lips somehow before putting this on. I'm so glad I found this product!! a holy grail for sure. I've been dealing with constant dry, cracked, peeling lips that seem to have no improvement no matter what I use.
