La Roche-Posay Uvidea XL Bb Cream Medium 30ml

I was getting microneedling done and I was advised to put sunscreen and avoid make up for a week if possible. The facial sunscreen I have tried in the past leaves white cast or were too oily. I thought I would give this product a try as it is a BB cream that has SPF 50 which would give me the sun protection I need and slight coverage for my face that is not as heavy as a foundation. To me it's more like a tinted sunscreen. If you have imperfections such as hyperpigmentation or acne marks this would not cover it. However my skin has greatly improved these past few months and this gives my skin a slight blurring effect with a glow/dewy. Price wise it's not cheap for a drugstore but it's not expensive compared to k-beauty brands that sells BB cream e.g. Laneige.

I have been using this instead of a foundation as I find it works really well. At first it’s hard to spread as the formula is thick. I have been mixing it with a couple of drops of face oil and that helps with spreadability. Overall a great alternative to a heavy foundation.

Best BB cream.

Best bb cream out there with full matte coverage, 50 spf and long lasting. Perfect for days where you dont have time for make-up but need to cover some flaws and even otut skin tone. I like trying new things but this is a product i keep coming back to as a staple and so far there is no comparison.

Disppointed with the shade

I am just disappointed that even the medium tint leaves a massive white cast. Like i almost feel like im wearing a face whereas i was looking for something very natural for everyday wear. With this, i need to bronze it up and even then, i feel like someones flashed my face with a white light. So wont be getting again.

Flakes off and does not blend smoothly

This is great for those who have smooth less textured skin and hyperpigmentation. I consider to have combo and acne prone skin and this BB cream did help hide some tiny spots on my face. However, do not expect this to conceal skin texture because it does not work well in this area. Additionally, during application, do not rub or aggressively layer the skin. Instead, u should take the time to use a brush or fingers to softly spread around face to get the best results. From persona experiences, do not overdue otherwise it can flake. Overall, blends in nicely and smoothly if application is soft.

Great little sunscreen

I wanted to give my skin a break from foundations and more heavily pigmented BB/CC creams for the weekend and casual outings. I have medium/light tan skintone with yellow undertones. The colour 02 looks very tan straight out of the tube but it blends well and gives a healthy glow, with no pink undertones (which is perfect for me). Coverage is sheer to light. I would recommend wearing this on its own with only a light moisturiser underneath. There is a slight sheen after application, as with most sunscreens. A light dusting with a translucent powder should keep shine at bay. Great sized tube to take with you for touch ups and reapplication through the day.

High sunscreen coverage but acts like foundation

I use retinoid and needed to have high sunscreen protection to protect my face from pigmentation. At first I wasn't keen on this because it's a thick but after several applications, I realised that this BB cream makes my face glow and gives a natural, brighter complexion and the coverage is better than some of my foundations. I now wear this all the time as my regular 'go-to' with peace of mind knowing it's spf50+ with high UVA protection. It's pretty perfect! Now that it's summer, I'm looking forward to trying the medium shade.

I really enjoy La Roche products and that they are good for your skin! Every dermatologist will tell you this brand is number one for all skin basics and concerns. My skincare routine is based on there products so I thought I would add in a BB cream. I don’t wear makeup only on special occasions but I thought I would give this a try just to give a glow and light coverage on some days. After reading the great reviews it has I’m also happy to share that I love it! At first the color seemed to look dark for my skin tone once it was distributed from the tube. But when it’s on it really does somehow blend and look like second skin! I love the glowy look it gives me and that it’s very natural + SPF. The holy grail

Working outside for a living, sun safety is a big priority. This cream is a godsend, giving just enough coverage that makes you look glowy without being too shiny or caked on. It doesn’t feel as heavy as other sunscreens and absorbs well. I’ve noticed it doesn’t even sweat off my face when I go for a run - will be buying this again for sure!

Tinted SPF 50+. The best!

This is an excellent tinted sunscreen with spf50+. I’ve been looking for something as good as this for a time time and have finally found it. It’s lightweight and has no shine to it which most other sunscreens do. Sets in nicely doesn’t crease into fine lines and make them appear worse. Would highly recommend this product.
