Awesome shoe!!

This is my second pair and I love these so much! The rubber is very soft, so they may wear out and form holes quicker. However, the resulting increase in sensitivity allows for more confident footwork, especially on volumes/slab, which is a huge benefit for me. I was also able to break these in after about 2 or 3 3hr sessions. The first time I tried them on, they were extremely painful tight, but after that, the shoes were surprisingly easy to put on (but still snug) and quite comfortable! There was a seam in the right shoe that scratched my foot, but after breaking them in, the seam no longer bothers me. Additionally, I love that the heel is snug and does not bulge like in some shoes.

Easily my favourite LaSport shoe. They managed to take everything I liked from all their past shoes (solution toe, futura heel, skwama closure strap, no-edge on the sides) and put it all into one shoe. Definitely painful at first, but after 3 or so sessions it goes from only being able to wear it for 15 minutes to feeling like a perfect fit. My go-to shoe for projects both indoors and out ever since they discontinued the 5.10 team.

Good quality but not for me

I ended up returning these after a couple uses because my toes just couldn’t deal with the pain. I’ll be purchasing something less aggressive in the future. The rubber is nice and soft for good flexibility and the heel was snug. I really wanted to love them because they are great quality but they just didn’t work for my poor feets!

Great shoe
23 May 2023

This shoe conforms beautifully to the foot and feels like a slipper.Sadly my odd feet (narrow with bunion) weren’t the right fit for them. They felt like they would be an awesome all around gym shoe and fit better than the Drago but still not the right slipper for my Cinderella foot. The search continues.

Great shoes
3 April 2023

These shoes fit great on my feet. Even during the work in period they are not too painful. All that being said you would really have to try them to know if they are right for you. My first time getting these I went to a climbing store with an inclination towards another type. Tried several and these were the best…

Great shoes!
26 November 2020

I've bouldered in these for a few indoor sessions and a few outdoor sessions and I'm really liking them! I usually wear womens' skwamas and the sizing on these was pretty similar. They're soft, sensitive and very downturned and perform great on steep boulder problems. Heel hooking and toe hooking both feel great in these - I prefer this heel to the skwama heel. I haven't totally figured out what the no edge side does though - it hasn't been a disadvantage but I'm not sure it's been a big advantage either. For size reference, I'm usually an 8 in street shoes, with very narrow/low-volume feet. I wear a 36.5 in skwamas and I have these in a 36.5 as well.

Smearing against the wall becomes a trustworthy move, and the rubber moulds perfectly to my feet, especially around the toes, ensuring remarkable comfort, even though these are 2 sizes smaller than my regular street shoes. I have been impressed by the P3 system, as it has retained its tension even after months of rigorous use.Cons:The soft rubber might not be ideal for beginners, who may prefer shoes with a bit more rigidity. After wearing them for extended periods, I experience some foot pump discomfort. To be honest, I can hardly think of any significant downsides to these shoes. During the initial break-in phase, there was a slight issue with an air pocket in the shoe, but that has now disappeared, and the shoes fit like a second skin, providing an exceptional climbing experience. I opt for the men's model, but if you seek even greater sensitivity, consider trying the women's version, which features slightly thinner rubber.FitMy street shoe size is 8.5US (42EU) . My new favourite climbing shoe!
8 February 2021

I am so glad I bought this shoe! I have only used the Futuras and the Geniuses in the past 5 years of climbing, but I recently saw the Theory's and decided to try them out - and I'm so glad I did. They fit my feet perfectly. The soles are nice and flexible and not too thick, so I can feel the holds really well. There is no extra room in the heel or toe, which I find other shoes have that issue. They felt tight at first, but after the first session, they were basically completely broken in, whereas other shoes take a couple of days to be broken in. I also like the velcro strap which is nice and thick, so there won't be any issues with it breaking, and the extra toes rubber on top is great for toe hooks. Very happy to have found my new favorite climbing shoe!

Rubber on toes are peeling
29 August 2021

I have this less than 3 months and have only climbing on these shoes about 3 week. The toe area rubber is already peeling. A friend of mine has the same shoes and it was not a problem for her. I'm a little disappointed but I have never experienced this issue with any La Sportiva climbing shoes. I like this shoes but expected better quality from a $190 shoes. The rub has actually peeled more after these pictures were taken.
