This is my second pair and I love these so much! The rubber is very soft, so they may wear out and form holes quicker. However, the resulting increase in sensitivity allows for more confident footwork, especially on volumes/slab, which is a huge benefit for me. I was also able to break these in after about 2 or 3 3hr sessions. The first time I tried them on, they were extremely painful tight, but after that, the shoes were surprisingly easy to put on (but still snug) and quite comfortable! There was a seam in the right shoe that scratched my foot, but after breaking them in, the seam no longer bothers me. Additionally, I love that the heel is snug and does not bulge like in some shoes.

Second pair I have, they're great again! Downsized two and I had great feel through the shoe, good contact, and I was able to climb so much better, because this shoe is the best. Rubber is soft and thin, I've never felt so much during climbing before. It's like wearing rubber socks. Love these shoes!

Our 16 y.o. daughter has been climbing in gyms for several years now and this year began to get more advanced and competitive. Her nationally-ranked coach said that her basic $100 shoes were holding her back and recommended these. She's thrilled with the shoes and says that they've literally made her a better climber. She ordered two Euro sizes below her normal shoe size (40-->38), which seems insane, but I guess that's how climbers roll.

Have a pair of men’s Theories and wanted to downsize for a super tight pair for hard projects. Fit felt great except the low volume fit of the heel doesn’t quite work for my heel. Had to return them! Still, Theories are easily the best shoes I’ve used. Hard recommend!
Well these would likely perform as suberb-ly as I imagined but they are shaped in a way that the midsole sits behind the end of my big toe. I’d recommend sizing up about half a size from solutions or futuras which I have climbed in for about a year each. The rubber is ultra sticky nonetheless and is great on anything in the gym and on moonboards. I was expecting these to be a little more like dragos but are definitely more stiff than them by a decent margin (about the same as broken in futuras and much softer than solutions). The toe box has a slight downturn which is good for steep climbing but not nearly as good for smearing as dragos are. The heel cup feels pretty identical to the solution comps maybe a little more sensitive out of the box but fit really great. ... MoreWell these would likely perform as suberb-ly as I imagined but they are shaped in a way that the midsole sits behind the end of my big toe. Climbing shoes are totally subjective depending on your climbing style, your climbing shoe needs, and the shape of your foot. Personally, I found this shoe to be an excellent addition to my climbing shoe collection! It is incredibly soft with thin rubber under the toe, providing more sensitivity on holds. The softness of the shoe is excellent for smearing and indoor slab. Although the forefront of this shoe isn't super wide, as someone with wide feet, I am happy to share that the soft structure is pretty forgiving. The rubber padding on the top of the toe is more than enough, allowing for seamless toe hooks. I also like the heal cup on this shoe, as it is more of La Sportiva's "fitted" style (rather than the molded heel cup) and conforms to the shape of my heal ... MoreClimbing shoes are totally subjective depending on your climbing style, your climbing shoe needs, and the shape of your foot. After trying this shoe on in a variety of sizes, I found that the 39EU (w7.5) fit me best for a performance fit.To anyone looking for a solid indoor shoe, whether it be bouldering or wall climbing, I would definitely recommend this one! Paired with my La Sportiva Solution Comps, I feel unstoppable on any indoor project.
Instant comfort and performance! Super flexy for optimal feedback. There's still an edge at the very front of the toe, so I don't melt off credit-card edges. I got the same size as I have in the Testarossas (which are built on the same last), and the fit is perfect. I wear a 38 in both (I'm an 8 in street shoes). I've worn these only inside, so I don't have an opinion on how they perform outside. But inside (vertical, overhung, kilter board), they're great! I'll probably still prefer the added support of the testarossas on outdoor routes.
I got this when Skwama is out of stock and I desperately need a new pair. The mold is the same aka fit feels the same. What’s different is it’s wayyyy softer, meaning, the P3 support feels less stable and shoes feel less responsive. The MOST pain point is the elastic liner under the strap, when sliding my foot in, it tends to roll under and very annoying to dig out.
I bought these to have an extra pair in reserve. I had to wear them one day (after I forgot to bring my usual pair (these were still in the trunk). They were super comfortable the first day I used them. There was no break in period. I love all the rubber on the entire shoe. Great for heel hooking and toe hooking!
I am at my 2nd pair. I love them a lot for bouldering. Have Otaki for sport climbing and now have these ones for bouldering and wouldn't go back to my Otaki for bouldering. Theory shoes are very comfortable and allow me to sense all the subtleties of the holds and the volumes. I trust them on slippery holds or volumes and trust them on tiny little holds.
