Laneige - Water Sleeping Mask - 70ml

I really like Laneige, but I just don't like this product! If you have oily skin, I think you might like this mask. But as somebody with very dry and sensitive skin, I didn't feel like this helped with anything- I even found it slightly drying. The mask has a water-based gel cream consistency which feels very light on the skin. Even when my skin is especially dehydrated, I don't feel like this provides that much hydration. It sinks into my skin very quickly and leaves it feeling thirstier. It's also got a decent amount of fragrance. I think that it can work if you use it as a hydrating layer beneath a thicker occlusive moisturizer, but then that kind of defeats the purpose of being a sleeping mask that's supposed to seal everything in. As someone with maturing skin that tends to need a bit more TLC these days, I have become a huge fan of sleep masks and this one is a true winner! With hydrating squalene and it's Probiotic Derived Complex, this sleeping masks deeply hydrates the skin while supporting the skin's natural barrier. It has a soothing, lightweight almost gel like consistency that feels instantly cooling and hydrating on the skin. I love to use this as a last step in my night time skincare routine to help seal in all of the moisture and goodness before going to bed. Every morning I use this mask, I wake up with hydrated, glowing skin that looks radiant and healthy. I love that it's free of harmful chemicals and has a subtle fragrance that is not overwhelming or irritating to my skin.

The Laneige Water Sleeping Mask is truly unique considering how it’s so versatile for every skin type. It’s very hydrating; however, in the winter time it isn’t moisturizing enough for my skin. Its gel-like texture feels extremely refreshing and absorbs into the skin well, leaving no greasy residue behind. In the morning, my skin is slightly plumper, but I need a thicker mask that is more hydrating. My favorite part about it is the clean ingredients. There are no harsh chemicals and it’s hypoallergenic. Overall, I do like the mask, it’s just not the best for me, but the water consistency is lovely for a summer evening.

I've never found it to clog my pores as it's not too thick or heavy. It really seems to be just right. As an added benefit it contains my newest and most favorite ingredients in any skin care line and that is Squalane. I have found the higher end products which contain this ingredient have exceptionally good results with my skin. On a side note, have you ever wondered whose job it is to count each one of those green tea probiotic cells? Okay I digress.. So overall I see quite a few benefits with using this mask. As I said my skin always looks better the next morning which is wonderful. It's very hydrating and not irritating in the slightest. I'd recommend this product to just about anyone who already uses masks and who doesn't mind having something on their face for a little while before it absorbs in.

Haven't used this water sleeping mask for a few years as I've tried and stuck to other masks and moisturizers. However, this past summer has been quite harsh on my skin so I thought of trying or going back to an old favorite I haven't used in awhile.My skin has been extremely dry, red, rough, and scaly. When I did my skincare routine at night, both my cheek areas were as dry as though they had no product on them. I was really worried almost nothing was working (whether I slathered them with product or simplified my routine). Skin Feels Great

This was my first time trying out a sleeping mask and now I'm hooked. It is pretty light weight and has texture I feel that is somewhat watery but also creamy as well. It comes with a spatula to help scoop out and apply. I found that it only takes a little bit to cover the face and while at first it may appear to be greasy, the feeling went away quickly after a few minutes. Also when applying, it has a cooling sensation that is really refreshing and could probably be intensified if you kept this in the fridge to stay cool. I like that it can be used in place of a moisturizer but since it is also a mask that directions say to wash off in the morning, you can still feel some of the product sitting on your face instead of completely absorbing right away. The next morning after washing off and doing my morning routine, I did feel my skin was much softer and brighter compared to not using it. It does have a slight fragrance to it that I found pleasant and didn't cause any irritation to me but I also don't have sensitive skin.

I tried this side by side with my normal night cream (a hydrating gel-cream, as it is hot still) with one on each side of my face. It felt nice on application and I experienced no skin reactions, but did make my skin feel stickier than usual, even after an hour or so. In the morning, it had not performed as well as my normal product, my skin felt a little tight, less hydrated on that side (and it is not the side I sleep on either). In conclusion, my current night product performed better. I think this particular sleeping mask would suit oilier/combination skins best, but I do have reservations about the whole concept. We are supposed to apply generously (like a mask instead of a night cream) but still have to leave on overnight rather than getting the fast results of a mask. Surely this just makes it either a not very good night treatment (you have to use 2-3 times normal amount) or a not very good mask (you have to leave overnight for results instead of 10-30 mins). I think this is a case of the emperor's new clothes myself.
