Very glossy and fun to wear during the day, or at night going to sleep. It protects your sensitive lips while making them look cute ❤I was worried Candy would make me look washed out because of the lighter shade (my usual go-to was Cherry Fruity jelly balm), but Candy was a lot darker on my lips than on the tube, yet still very natural. Perfect for everyday school pick up and drop off with a bit of a gloss - goes well with my dewy, natural, glazed donut everyday makeup! The Candy scent is really fun too. I love that they're not overly sweet or artificial like kid's lipgloss - which was what I expected when I saw `Candy'.As hydrating as the 101 balms I would say. It really saves my lips from the previous busy day in the office (air con + no lip balm all day). My ... MoreVery glossy and fun to wear during the day, or at night going to sleep. I am not usually a fan of lip gloss as they slide all over your face but this is moisturizing, high shine, long lasting, and nice color payoff. Plus they smell and taste amazing! The Candy is my favorite: a lighter universal pink that smells/ tastes like a Strawberry Daiquiri! I love to layer it over my matte lip pies to create a multi dimensional high shine effect.I am so impressed with the quality and moisturizing properties of the balm-added in the high shine gloss and color- plus it’s a great consistency, not sticky, and stays put for hours even through a meal. I think all ages would love this item and have multiple uses for it!Thank you again for letting me try these and I will be purchasing more when they are released.

I think the colours are beautiful. That being said, those are not colours I would normally reach for. The two colours just boil down to pink and purple and I would normally reach for something peachier and less saturated (where my ideal shade would be something like NYX Praline or a deeper version of the Frank Body lip balm in Nude).I enjoy the berry flavour, sweet and not too overpowering, non offensive. I noticed it when I initially applied and it faded away pretty quickly. If you want a benchmark the scent fades quicker than the 101 fruity balm in Strawberry. I found the 101 fruity balm scent to linger for a bit too long so this was nice.I have to be very honest, I don't enjoy the Candy flavour that much. I found it borderline (and I use this word very lightly) offensive (sorry!). I don't know if it was just me but I detected a grassy, chemically note and it reminded me of a strawberry scented Chapstick (from the chapstick brand). I continued to use it anyway so it wasn't really like the scent stopped me from using it especially since it didn't linger for too long. Regarding question 2, the other reason I deducted points was because of the Candy scent.Hydration wise, moderately hydrating. I usually use the 101 ointment (the original one) at night and find that to be the most hydrating. In the order of most to least hydrating out of the products I've tried it would be101 ointment --> 101 fruity multibalm --> GLOSSYBALMS -->101 tinted balm --> lemonaid lip treatment --> lip waterThe main reason Glossybalms was ranked higher than the tinted balm was because I can apply more Glossybalm on my lips and have a thicker layer. Unfortunately with the tinted balm, I could not apply too much product as the colours were not flattering on me, I found the colours to be too white toned and looked a bit pasty on the lips, also the colours would be more opaque in areas where my lips were drier.

Glossybalms are really smooth, sparkly, a good hydrator, and also super portable. They're not sticky or fussy to apply, and they last a really long time. They can be dressed up or down to suit pretty much any lifestyle.I really enjoy how you can dress down or dress up the Glossybalms. I wore the Berry in lieu of lipstick for an evening out and felt quite fancy without my lips feeling dry. As a person who is always in a hurry, I love how convenient and portable they are. It's so easy to pop the cap off and apply a swipe of balm as needed, without the fuss of having to have a mirror handy. For a glossy balm, I feel they last a long time and keep my lips well-protected. Even my daughter, age 11, has already tried to swipe both of these Glossybalms from me! Cheeky :)
The first thing I noticed about each of the two Glossybalms is their wonderful scent. Pleasant but not overpowering. Next, their texture is perfect. It's what I love about the Lanolips balms that I use on my lips. The colors are delightful. They are both perfect regardless of skin tone. The shine is long lasting (surprisingly so) with the Berry being more pigmented but in a subtle way. I was thrilled that the moisturizing benefits of the lanolin were not compromised by the added gloss. Truly love these new editions to the Lano family!
I would give the new Glossyblams 4.5 stars, as they are quite hydrating for a glossy product and act like a lip balm and gloss in one which is great. I didn’t feel like I was constantly reapplying the Glossybalms as my lips stayed hydrated for a decent amount of time. I only needed to reapply after eating or drinking. The colours of the balms were buildable, so if you apply a little you have a nice mild tint, or apply a bit more and you have a decent shade. Even the darker berry colour was quite versatile, which I wasn’t expecting as I don’t usually wear purple based lip colours. I could have done without the flavours of the Glossybalms, I’m not a big fan of flavoured/scented lip products, but once applied the flavour wasn’t very obvious and didn’t linger for long ... I would recommend the Glossybalms for anyone who finds lip gloss not hydrating enough but wants a product that gives a similar finish, but also keeps their lips hydrated and doesn’t have that sticky texture some lip glosses can have too.
I am a huge fan of Lanolips- the original 101 Ointment, 101 Multibalm in Coconutter, Golden Dry Skin Salve, and the Tinted Lip Balm in Rhubarb are all in heavy rotation as far as lip products. So I was VERY excited to try these new Glossybalms, as I've been looking forward to new Lanolips hues and love the nostalgia of scented lip balms. As far as hues- I received the shades Berry and Candy, and they're both gorgeous! The color is sheer (which I LOVE!), wearably bright and punchy, and fairly buildable, and like most Lanolips products they feel incredible on. I've yet to find another clean brand with products that come close to the performance of Lanolips, even at the luxury level (Victoria Beckham Beauty, Westman Atelier, etc.) I also appreciated the Glossybalms ... I've yet to find another clean brand with products that come close to the performance of Lanolips, even at the luxury level (Victoria Beckham Beauty, Westman Atelier, etc.) I also appreciated the Glossybalms tube, made from 80% sugarcane! That said, even though I usually love a bit of scent, I found the cent of the Glossybalms to be overpowering. For those of you who currently use the scented 101 Multibalms- this scent of Glossybalms is easily 3-5 times more intense. The scent of Berry was more enjoyable than that of Candy for me personally- I don't love scents whose origin is hard to place- and to me Candy just smelled almost sickly sweet. It was just too much for me. As far as wear, the color held up nicely, which I appreciated- it was a delightful surprise, as sheerer formulations usually disappear rather quickly. After the product eventually wore off, my lips did feel a bit drier than they do after I've worn Multibalm or Golden Dry Skin Salve. All in all- I love the Glossybalm formula and shades, but the strong scent was too much.
I really like these two colors on the lips, the Berry one especially. I feel that the colors are quite subtle, more so than other tinted balms. Sometimes when I want a hydrating balm I’m looking for something I don’t have to worry about using a mirror to put on, and these Glossy Balms are perfect for that even though they do have a tint. The scent of the berry one is also very nice, and is the one that I would recommend out of the two. I’m personally someone who goes for cooler toned makeup and clothes, and I also am very pale so I cannot speak to people with warmer undertones or deeper skin, but I found that the colors flattered me. Both seem to have a slightly cooler base than a warm base. I find that the slight shimmer doesn’t show up on the lips.I’ve grown up ... I find that the slight shimmer doesn’t show up on the lips.I’ve grown up using lanolin based products so I’m used to their slightly sheepy essence, shall we call it. However I know that some people that might pick these up won’t be used to that natural flavor/scent. I find that the Berry balm does not have much of the lanolin taste and its flavor is good, but in the Candy balm that taste and smell pervade more. As I said, I’m used to that and honestly anyone buying lanolin based products should be aware of that, but just making a note in case you get other feedback that also mentions it.I love the hydration that these Glossy Balms provided, I wore the Berry balm all evening during a night where I was eating and drinking and it stayed on well, I reapplied maybe twice throughout the night. I have chronically chapped lips, and these balms not only hydrated my lips but protected them and kept them from flaking.I would rate these balms 4/5 stars! I’m a huge proponent of the original formulation of the Lanolips balm (I just started a new tube of the Peach, but I’m really hoping to try the Pear or Apple flavor soon!) and these were similarly hydrating. I’m not as familiar with the Jelly Balm formula, but I assume these Glossy Balms are slightly thicker and coat the lips more to protect from the elements. The only reason I don’t give the full 5 is because the Candy formulation is not as preferable as the Berry in my opinion, but I plan on continuing to use both!
I would definitely very highly recommend new Lanolips Glossybalms and give them 4.5/5 stars. The only lacking half star is for the colours Berry & Candy, which are not my favourite as the Rose Tinted Lip Balm SPF30 is my absolute Lanolips lip balm favourite colour day or night, work or play. Please make the new Glossybalm in Rose!!The level of hydration is superior to any other lipbalm or gloss I have ever worn or tried, and I have tried many….This includes the Rose Tinted Lip Balm SPF30.The superior lasting power of the new Glossybalm, the smell and feel of the product on your lips is the reason for 4.5 stars. The Berry colour is magic for those loving a dark red shade, and the Candy is for a vibrant rosy pink.My only recommendation is for additional Glossybalm ...
