Lansinoh is the only bottle my baby would take so naturally when it was time to move up the flow I bought two six packs of the fast flow and shredded the packaging without thinking twice. I was devastated when the next two bottles I gave my son collapsed IMMEDIATELY when the slow and medium flows never did. I was about to throw them all in the garbage since I couldn’t return them (no packaging) when I randomly thought to check the vents. I knew about the hole on top of the nipple ring so I went to see if they were blocked. That’s when I realized there was also a vent that goes under the nipple ring as well. It’s directly underneath the obvious hole but it’s harder to see so I took a picture. All I had to do was gently pinch the vents between my fingers to open them ... MoreLansinoh is the only bottle my baby would take so naturally when it was time to move up the flow I bought two six packs of the fast flow and shredded the packaging without thinking twice. Please check your vents before you give up and throw them out!!

Ok my baby loves latching to these bottles, but I’m confused by the flow of the nipples. I got the 8 oz bottles that came with the medium flow. But hardly any liquid comes out. If I turn it upside down, nothing comes out and even when I squeeze the nipple, a teeny tiny drop comes out. Seems like this would be more slow flow than medium flow. Is this right?

Love this nipple for my breastfeed baby, but the fact that they break easily is a big issue. I check the nipple each time I give her the bottle by gently squeezing the top of the nipple, since she had trouble drinking from it a few times due to a tear. It can be a chocking hazard, so mamas be ware and check the nipple each time. I’ve thrown away 7-8 nipples already. I wash them super gently, but I think my mom would wash them like she did all the other nipples we’ve had (normal way) like Dr. Brown, etc., and that didn’t help the fact that they tear easily. I think I’ve seen more tears with the medium flow vs the slow flow, possibly bc of the way the opening is cut (criss cross). With that said, still giving this 4 stars bc my breastfed baby loves this nipple.

Only nipple my picky nurser will take! This is extremely similar to the Evenflo balance nipples, but the silicone is far softer and there’s more movement to the whole piece. Nursing mom’s should know “hamburger hold”… if you don’t… look it up. That’s how you should be making sure of a good, deep latch. Unlike 99% of other nipple shapes, this mimics that perfectly! I instantly recognized that when I was shopping for nipples for my super picky 5 month old, she had already rejected multiple other styles (Hevea, Medela, Spectra, Avent, Mam, eh with Ola). None of those look like my breast and none of them really facilitated a good latch without really forcing it into her mouth. She latched effortlessly to these! I highly recommend them! Like mentioned before, similar shape as the Evenflo, but she instantly spit it out, and refused to take it back, I’d guess it was because of how firm the tip is on those. These are nice and soft. Also, the vent is perfection! You can see it working, and working very well!
I love almost everything i've experienced with Lansinoh, except the nipple flow. I am a mother baby nurse and a mom myself and that is the number one feedback and reason why moms of newborns cannot use the bottles until the babies are almost 5 months old. It was the same for my newborn as well. I VERY much hope something can be done about this because I would love to use all lansinoh products for my next baby, but if I can't use the bottles for many months it really defeats the purpose.. The slow flow nipple says a 2 on it and medium flow says 3. My baby needed a premie nipple when she was born so the Lansinoh bottles were far out of question and I had to use all Dr.Browns bottles with my lansioh pump. Can more nipple sizes be made for ALL levels truly?
I was fine with slow flow nipples but when I started using the bigger bottles with medium flow, the nipple JUST DONT WORK ANYMORE. NOthing comes out even when i put big holes. There is no proper vent. The engineering is awful. I thought the medium flow isnt enough so i bought fast flow nipples, and NOW IT HAS BECOME WORSE. They do not work. They were hard and nothing comes out of the bottle even when i put holes. I stretched them, etc. It’s just frustrating!! I just bought 6 sets. A total waste of money. I hope Lansinoh realizes that these nipples are a FAILURE! Might go back to slow flow and put more holes.
My daughter was a nicu baby and although I am able to breastfeed her we also have to fortify her breast milk with formula so we needed to find a bottle to transition to since we weren’t going to be able to use the bottles the nicu gave us forever. That being said we probably spend over 200 dollars on bottles and nipples looking for a bottle that would work. I pretty much gave up until I found these and thought why not try one last time. Thank god I did. My baby loves these bottles and I notice that she drinks off of these bottles just like she is breastfeeding. That being said I have a fast let down and the problem we were having with other bottles were they were either to slow or way too fast and these mimic my flow exactly. I bought a full set of the bottles and nipples because of the reviews and recommendations based on the nipple shape and it’s similarities to the breast. Unfortunately the slow flow nipples are still way too fast for my breast fed baby. I have tried sitting him upright for feedings and keeping the bottle horizontal and within one suck he is stick choking. Very disappointed.
We love these nipples. My daughter (2mo) has no issue latching to these. However, the “slow flow” nipple is not slow flow. It seems like the medium and the slow should be switched. My daughter got very frustrated when we tried to use the medium flow, she had to work a lot harder to get the milk out. Slow flow was much faster and drips when you turn the bottle upside down. Medium had no drip at all. We haven’t tried fast flow.
I have use these bottles with my last three children I actually have four the plus side to these bottles is they are short nipples so works great for gag reflects they are also typically easy for my children to latch onto who are usually tongue-tied but we do have it taken care of. that is the only good of these bottles and nipples. the nipple shape is perfect. slow flow is not a slow flow. it will still dribble out. the nipples themselves do not last very long and actually break. you will see the picture. I have replaced the stupid nipples countless times. we are currently on a hunt for a new bottle and I actually replace the nipples with each child so no the nipples are not old because my youngest is only 13 weeks old and I’ve already had to replace nipples and ... MoreI have use these bottles with my last three children I actually have four the plus side to these bottles is they are short nipples so works great for gag reflects they are also typically easy for my children to latch onto who are usually tongue-tied but we do have it taken care of. that is the only good of these bottles and nipples. the nipple shape is perfect. slow flow is not a slow flow. it will still dribble out. the nipples themselves do not last very long and actually break. you will see the picture.
