The frothing of both Semi-skimmed and Oatmeal barista milk is superb, every bit as good as you get in a coffee shop. As noted by others, the markings on the inside of the jug are not easy to read but you soon get used to the amount of milk required. In practice, for a single cup you only need to fill to the minimum level to get a decent amount of froth. As with the internal markings, a better indicator of whether you are in frother or hot milk mode would be useful but not a showstopper. Finally, this makes a lovely hot chocolate drink by adding hot chocolate powder to cold milk in the jug, and then turning the frother to hot milk mode.

I love everything about this little milk frother. It is a small size, which is great as I don't have much worktop space. It makes beuatiful thick foam for cappuccinos (1 click) and heats up milk beautifully with a frothy toppings for lattes and flat whites (2 clicks). Bought in winter, so have not yet used cold froth option. Temperature of the milk is just right in my opinion - hot, but you can safely drink straight away without having to wait. Coffe shop bought coffee does not taste or look half as good as my home made one. Each coffee is like a mini dessert. I love the beeping noise to let me know it's finished. I often wonder back to my desk after putting my coffee and milk on, and can get engrossed in work and forget all about what I left in a kitchen, so I love ... MoreI love everything about this little milk frother. It is very easy to rinse, without getting the bottom wet. I had an eye on it since November, and originally asked Santa to give it to me for Christmas, but then decided I can't wait that long!

Our Nespresso milk foamer died after many years of stalwart service so, after consulting Which?, we went with their top recommendation. We love this new machine because it makes the silkiest, thickest and longest lasting frothed milk we've come across. The cold foam is just as smooth and silky as the hot though we rarely use it. The non-stick coating makes it very easy to clean. One of us prefers a smaller amount of foam and finds that this is most easily achieved by weighing in 50 grammes of milk as the lowest mark is difficult to see unless the light is just right.Because it makes the best foam ever, we're prepared to put up with the (to us) iritating beeps and the (slightly) longer time it takes to operate. The lid has no overhang and can be awkward to remove ... MoreOur Nespresso milk foamer died after many years of stalwart service so, after consulting Which?, we went with their top recommendation. We love this new machine because it makes the silkiest, thickest and longest lasting frothed milk we've come across. The lid has no overhang and can be awkward to remove and, somehow, we end up with more dribbles down the side than with our previous machine; I hope that the milk which settles in the tiny gap between the metal collar and the plastic body stays at the top and doesn't lead to problems inside; a dry tooth or nail brush removes the visible crust.

I have had this machine for over a year now and absolutely love it! Press the button once and it makes hot frothy milk for cappuccinos, twice it makes hot milk for Lattes and Flat Whites and hold the button down and it froths cold milk for Iced Coffees. I've used all three functions and it works perfectly each time. It's robust, so easy to clean, small and looks good on my kitchen counter. It is also incredibly quiet (for those of you that make coffee whilst baby sleeps!) My friends and family that visit always compliment me on the coffee I serve them and I think it's down to this awesome little machine. I've stopped buying expensive daily coffees from my local cafe and instead make a coffee at home to take on the school run. It's definitely a worthwhile investment.
I wish I could tell you that this is a rubbish product and that it broke down just under two years, but the truth is that it slipped from my small hands when I was wiping it dry, straight on the tiles and broke. It still worked a few times even though it was a bit wonky and then it died royally. I did not realise I would miss it that much, it makes wonderful foam and hot chocolate. So I bought a new one after three weeks of misery- it felt like your favourite person came home! Now it is back to lovely capuccinos, luscious hot, foamy hot chocolates. I think it is the best milk frother in this price range, it is very quiet and I am glad for those two bleeps when it is finished. It is very easy to use and clean, but I understand the reviewer saying it is wide for small ... MoreI wish I could tell you that this is a rubbish product and that it broke down just under two years, but the truth is that it slipped from my small hands when I was wiping it dry, straight on the tiles and broke. I was a sceptical, but desperate purchaser of this... our previous bean-to-cup cappuccino machine had died and I was under immense pressure to replace it with another "one touch, cappuccino delivered" machine. Unfortunately, all I could find were more traditional "barista style" bean-to-cup espresso machines with a steaming wand, which I knew wouldn't cut the mustard with my other half. So, with no other real option, I decided to plump for this. It makes fantastic foam, quickly and very, very easily. Pour in the cold millk and press the button. For one cup, it takes about 30 sec which is also about the same amount of time that our machine takes to brew a double-shot espresso. Pour the perfectly microfoamed froth from this on top and you're done. And I'm in the good books, to boot!Best of all, it makes a fabulous cold foam for iced coffees, desserts etc. In all cases, the foam won't stay stable for that long, but that's more a product of milk foam in general than this particular machine. I'd recommend timing the foam to be made just when you want it if you're after cappuccino. 30-60s later and you're starting to pour a fair bit of warm milk in with the foam - which is ideal if you're making a latte.I'd 100% recommend this to anyone who wants hot and cold frothed milk drinks. I'm very pleasantly surprised at how good it is.
It took me ages to decide which milk frother to go for. I chose this one because of the price point and reviews. I am glad that I did. I bought this for my husband for Father's Day as well as the JL induction stove top espresso maker. They are a good pair. The frother works very well. I make 2 quick clicks to heat up some milk, add it to my espresso, add a bit more milk to the frother, 1 click and then I top it up with pillowy foam. It's very quiet, barely produces a hum. I made 3 regular sized cappuccinos and made 2/3 batches of milk/foam but it takes no time at all. It's so quick. Preheat your cup beforehand and your drink will be piping hot.A definite no brainer.
Hot milk, lots of froth on that setting, quiet. Glad I bought. I struggle to see the level without needing glasses & old up to the light, but when filling with milk it's fiddly. Just guess now. Can't soak to clean. I use semi skimmed to froth & Oat Barrister (Asda do a cheaper version which is really nice) for hot milk as it doesn't froth well. I have started using slightly less milk that it states on the levels because I end up with too much, especially the froth, so just experiment. I made an hot chocolate buy just pouring hot milk into cup with hot chocolate in (just standard). Was nice.
I bought this in July from John Lewis and have been very pleased with it. It does froth and heat milk remarkably quickly. Just a couple of niggles:(1) three levels are marked on the inside of the product (to indicate (a) the maximum level of milk if you want to heat and froth it, and (b) the maximum level if you want hot foam, and (c) the minimum amount of milk to add), but these levels are marked so faintly that you have to hold the product in a very good light and on the tilt in order to spot them. Why couldn't these levels be marked more clearly, e.g. in a different colour?(2) if you have average size female hands (I take size 7 in gloves), it is quite a stretch to hold the product in one hand and scoop out the foam using the other hand. We've had quite a few WHICH recommended bean to cup coffee machines all of which have produced a great cup of coffee. However, we also wanted something more portable that we could use whilst away from home. We eventually settled on a Lavazza A Modo Mio MilkEasy Milk Frother together with a Bialetti Brikka Stove-top Espresso Coffee Maker. And WOW.! If you enjoy hot froth or milk with your coffee then the Lavazza Frother doesn't disappoint. I only wish we had discovered this frother sooner as well as the Bialetti Brikka coffee maker. In combination they produce a coffee e.g. flat white that's significantly better than any of the expensive bean to cup machines we've used at a fraction of the price! And the Lavazza frother makes excellent hot chocolate too!
