Very pleased with this speaker. I bought it to use as a stage monitor, and it is working great. You have to rotate the horn 90 degrees to use as a monitor, but it isn't that difficult. There are 10 M2.5 hex head screws, five on each side of the grill, then four M4 hex heads hold the horn. I recommend T-handle hex tools to save time. I have to say when I first listened to this I thought this sounds good enough to use as a front of house speaker. Great tone and power, which makes it sound so good as a monitor. Very well made and especially very well designed. I would highly recommend this for either front of house or as a monitor. The DSP is very easy to use, and not all that many menus to scroll through. If you're shopping for speakers you can't beat the sound at this price. Easily worth much more.

I recently heard these cabinets at a local music store. After some research, I decided to go with two of these. The eq settings are easy to navigate and also has preset settings for use with subs. They do have a great bass response for smaller venues, but I would recommend at least one sub. The cabinets weight around 53 lbs so make sure you get the right speaker stand. Cabs are flyable with multiple fly points. I opted out on the Bluetooth version, but that is available as well. Highly recommend LD Systems. I shall be adding one or two ICOA 18 subs in the future!! AMS also has very fast shipping. I received them within three days a payment.

Just opened up my pair of LD Systems ICOA speakers. Got them last week. These are replacing my Powered 12" speakers that I use for parties and DJing. I heard about how good LD Systems stuff is, so I took a shot on these, even though they were really low priced. They are really solid, built like a tank. I was completely surprised at the power and the sound quality when I connected them to my rig. Yowza! I guess I was used to my last pair that cost almost twice as much but did not get this loud, or sound as good. I'm a happy camper... just Lovin' my ICOA's.

Absolutely brilliant as a mid-range powered speaker. Has a lot of guts and packs some serious punch. With mid/high/low equalisers on the speakers themselves you can get it sounding just right for just about every situation and event. Only con is the weight at about 24kg…
I recently purchased one of these for multiple uses. I play keys in an 80's cover band. We bring our own sound equipment to most gigs. I need something as a floor monitor for that purpose. I also need something in my practice space to create keyboard voices for shows; what sounds good on studio monitors doesn't always sound good on a blaring PA system for live shows. I also wanted a decent size PA to use as a basement rehearsal system to jam with a drummer and a couple other musicians on occasion. This speaker fulfills all of these jobs perfectly. I love the versatility... It sounds much better as a PA than most dedicated floor monitors would, sounds similar enough to our larger, live-and system to serve as a great reference when creating keyboard sounds, and the coaxial design with rotatable horn makes it a much better floor monitor than most dedicated PA speakers. The sound quality is excellent. DSP offers plenty of flexibility if needed. I keep it flat for monitor use and bump the treble and bass by about 1dB each for PA use. Sounds perfect. Clear midrange, enough high end without being harsh, and plenty of bass to be usable, considering its a 12 inch woofer. Build quality seems excellent. Bluetooth feature is a nice bonus, makes it easy to just connect a phone and listen when desired. As a bonus, it looks nice, and the extra two handles it has compared to most speakers actually do help quite a bit when throwing it on a stand. I will be buying a second in the future.
Great Speaker quality, lows are amazing, a little heavy for us mobile DJs, but nothing to complain about. Aesthetically pleasing professional speaker, with the low end punch we are all looking for. Play with the presets from the factory settings from out the box, to get that sound tuned in right!
I'm very surprised about the deep and the amount of bass that this unit delivers. I hear a little gap on the crossover but still need to measure it to fully confirm. Bluetooth got its issues when connection is started but after that no issues. Overall, great sound and good performance. This unit is really loud.
These speakers are very solid for being in the budget range that they are. The rotating horn design is just awesome! The low end on these is pretty good for a speaker in this price range. The mids and highs are not too bad a tiny bit muddy for my taste but still clear. but I can deal with that. So for the money you simply cannot beat these! I highly recommend if you are looking for a decent set of speakers that won't break the bank.
I've been a professional audio engineer for a little over 23 years and was looking for another brand of wedge or active system to deploy for smaller events of up to 200 people or so. I went to my local dealer in the Bay Area and he was out of stock on the QSC k12.2 but told me about these LD icoa12 that he just received not long ago. So, I Purchased two of these 8 months ago and since then one of the speakers amp module went out of me, ok they replaced it, then in the middle of another corporate event it started producing a loud static noise from the drivers, I quickly switched the cable and that didn't help, changed the settings and nothing helped. Took it back and they ended up replacing the module again. Took it back and they ended up replacing the module again. Then same thing happen on the other speaker and the HF driver went out and I never once pushed these to their limits, not even close! Ive had my Yamaha DZR, Turbosound TFX and K12.2 for well over 4 years and drive them a heck of a lot harder than these and they never left me stranded. Certainly left a bad taste in my mouth. I would steer away from these and just buy yourself a JBL, QSC, turbosound, etc.... And to make matters worse, the other speaker and amp module have been at the dealer for exchange for nearly 2 months now and they don't know when they will receive the components to repair it!! Horrible.
I knew I needed a new factory speaker, but I had no idea where to start. Tom Burge gave me some "sound" advice and I ended up with LD systems 15 inch speaker. This thing brings me more joy that my kids and my wife combined. I blasted some Metallica through it and I can tell you this speaker is more metal than the left side of the periodic table. Crystal clear sound, bass that would knock you off your feet with no sign of speaker buzz or rattle. The highs are clear and the reverb adjustment allows me to get the sound just right in my factory so it doesn't echo.10 out of 10 would buy this speaker again and 50 out of 10 will shop with DJ city again.
