The 2.75 Qt is the perfect size for cooking side dishes and meals for 2. I've had other cast iron cook ware but this one feels substantial and is well made. The handles are also more ergonomic and larger than other offerings in enameled cast iron cookware. If you get this size, know that it is wider and more shallow when compared to Staub in the same size, which is great because it increases the surface area that is touching the heating element. Like all Le Crueset, it holds heat very well and it puts a really good sear on steaks and meat. I am very happy with my purchase.

It sits on the stove like a warm red glowing invitation to cook up something delicious. So I did just that immediately! Such a yummy pot of browned rich gravied casserole all cooked perfectly at once and made so easy in one pot. Then we ate from it and then I would have put the pot’s leftovers into the fridge but there were none! The pot was so easy to clean. Nothing stuck on it and it was into the dishwasher with it and then straight back onto my stovetop to sit and wait until my next delicious venture with it. So bright and beautiful to look at and so incredibly easy and fail proof to use-beginning to end. A delightful pot to serve from as well. I now aim to buy a skillet style next. It is a gourmet’s delight or an everyday wonder.Anne 🤸🏾♀️😀

I’ m a big fan of Le Creuset. Works well and very durable. The color is great (even if it’s not useful for cooking). First time buying from Consiglio’s but certainly not the last. I didn’t know if they were for real because their prices were so amazing, THEY ARE! They also offer great customer service; sending email to make sure everything is all right with my purchase, fast and effective shipping. My Creuset, which is heavy, was packed with filling to make sure that it was protected, great job Consiglio’s! And a big plus, it’s a family business! WOW!

I use this nearly everyday multiple times a day because its just the perfect size to reheat a dish (if you don't like microwaving them) its so versatile, easy for a smaller family/portion sizes. I love the handle this one comes with because I have all older models (10+ years older) and they all came with the classic black knobs and you can't put those in the oven. I know now I can upgrade them, but they are $$$ so one at a time. That's why I can use this size pot so much and for everything. It's the perfect size for sauces, smaller casseroles, side dishes, and not as strenuous as the larger sizes. Highly recommend.
Chose this size for a couple just starting out in their new household. In my opinion and based on my experience: it is the perfect size for a couple, in making dinners on weeknights and otherwise. And if and when their household grows over time… it will always be perfect as a side dish. I love Le Creuset… and wish that I had started out building my small collection, earlier in life! Happy to pay it forward to the next generation. PS I bought it in white.
I purchased this dutch oven in white and in smaller sz because the 7.25qt that I purchased from another online store was just way too heavy for carrying. I really like this size, 2.75qt. It's perfect for our family of three and I've used it just about every chance I can. So far it is easy to clean. I would not suggest using any kind of metal in it. I made the mistake of using a metal skimmer to take the crumbs out while the duty oven was still being used and almost scratched the bottom of it. I used some baking soda and a soft sponge to scrub/wash it and thankfully the scratched looking marks came off! Baking soda is key to light scrubbing for these enamel cookware.I've been wanting a le creuset dutch oven for years now, so I'm thrilled there was a sale decent ... Baking soda is key to light scrubbing for these enamel cookware.I've been wanting a le creuset dutch oven for years now, so I'm thrilled there was a sale decent enough from Macy's for purchase. I wouldn't buy it at full price because the lids do get quite hot during cooking time and you need a heatproof mat or glove to grab the lid each time. I would still recommend it though.
I have waited a long time to start my own Le Creuset collection. I love to cook, and I've always heard such great things about the Le Creuset brand. However, they are quite pricey! I finally decided to splurge on the 5.5 Round Dutch Oven - and I am so glad I did! I've made stuffed peppers, marinara sauce and a pot of soup so far. It warms up quickly and cooks so evenly - its amazing. On top of everything, clean-up is a joy. It just wipes clean. I purchased the Meringue color and it is gorgeous! My biggest decision now is whether to collect all the same color - or mix them up! Either way, my collection will definitely be growing.
Sooooo pretty, I'm so sad they retired this color. I love the size of the pot, I can double any recipe and it will fit it all! The only downside is that it's super heavy and takes forever to heat up. I never boil water in it because it will genuinely take an hour for it to boil. But once it's hot, it stays hot! I accidentally burn garlic all the time because of how well it retains heat. Takes a little adjusting to if it's your first cast iron like it was mine, I'm still figuring out how best to heat it to get it to the right temperature.
I am cheap, but I also believe in the philosophy buy once cry once.It took some strength, but I ponied up and am very happy I did. Unlike the mid-level brand that I used in my younger days, this pot hasn’t stained after using it a bunch over the past couple months. It’s made delicious meals such as beans, chili, hongshao rou, porridge, a variety of soups, braised beef, it’s browned roasts. Most importantly it wipes clean with no muss no fuss.
I bought this 2.75 quart shallow dutch oven because I now have only two of us living together. With a family of 5, I previously used a 5.5 quart DO. The 2.75 quart size is now the perfect size for making oatmeal, steaming vegetables, preparing chili and soups. It is so useful that I keep this (beautiful) piece on my cooktop as an accent color in my kitchen. I highly recommend this versatile piece as a go-to pot for two people.
