This is the second one of these I have bought. The first is still going strong. I only use silicone implements, and wash carefully so the non stick coating has lasted well. I am really pleased with it. Even better with a discount in the sale!

Bought this as a replacement omelette pan as I really like the feel, size and weight of the pan and the handle doesn't get hot. The non stick surface of my last Le Creuset wore off after about six years of occassional use which was rather disappointing as it is expensive to replace. I used to use Frylight which may be the culprit as I understand it should be applied to a cold pan and you need to cook at a low or medium heat. I am giving it one last chance as have changed back to regular oil in the hope that I can extend its life.

High quality pan with a durable non stick surface. Genuinely dishwasher safe. Even temperature spread across cooking surface and heats up quickly. This pan can be used with a variety of heating mediums including induction. Highly recommended.
Before I bought this, I used to just buy cheap frying pans from the supermarket, knowing they wouldn't last more than a couple or years. Non-stick never does, but for a few £s it doesn't matter. I have other Le Cruset stainless steel pans that are brilliant, robust and well worth the money and will likely last forever, so when I saw this with a lifetime guarantee, I decided to take the punt. Two years in and the non-stick is peeling away and into the food. According to JL&P customer service, this is normal wear and tear, which isn't covered by the lifetime guarantee. There's little point in forking out for a non-stick pan and expecting it to last forever. Back to the cheap ones for me.

Firstly, this is a well made, nicely finished non stick pan. I have several Le Creuset 3 ply saucepans. All well made, good finish, and I expect them to last longer than me. They work well on my glass induction hob.Secondly, is it a good omelette pan ? No. I am a retired cook. Used to making omelettes in a black iron pan on a gas range. Very different. To make an omelette, you heat the pan so the oil is about to smoke. But Le Creuset instructions for use say.. Do not overheat the pan. This may cause the non stick surface to blister and seperate from the metal. And failure to follow the guidelines will invalidate the guarantee. Again, risk of damaging the non-stick surface. Tilting the pan to fold the omelette over, is difficult as the non stick surface is too slippery and it all tends to slide over the edge. Le Creuset say their non stiuck surface is good for cooking with reduced oil and at medium heat. This is not how you cook an omelette.So, if you simply want a small non stick pan, this is fine. But if you are specifically looking for an omelette pan (as I was), do not buy this or indeed any other non stick pan.
This series of Le Creuset cookware is some of the very best. It is a matter of "what you pay is what you get", not always the case but with Le Creuset it's generally true. Stay cool handle is stay cool and brilliant for making a tortilla that you might won't to finish under a grill. The pan surface is genuinely non-stick and fairly robust.
Expensive but worth the investment. Even heating right up the sides of the pan and requires less heat to cook. A delight to use. Great for eggs and delicate fish. Looks great too.
This frying pan is expensive but the quality is next to none. It will hopefully last a lifetime. Present for daughter and son in law so money well spent. Le Creuset is always worth buying.
