Beautiful and perfect for induction cooktop

I was looking for a stainless steel whistling stovetop kettle to replace my electric kettle, because I have a new induction cooktop and it boils water so quickly. This kettle
exceeded my expectations. Water boils in 1-3 minutes depending on how full the kettle is. The hinged handle folds down for easy filling. The whistle starts quiet but gets nice
and loud if you don't tend to it right away (a good safety feature IMO). I see a complaint that it spills when pouring. I had that experience only once, when I failed to follow
instructions. This kettle is also gorgeous in stainless steel. Perfect for my "transitional" blue-and-white kitchen that has mostly modern but some traditional featu... Show more

So many cancelled orders it seems and I was one as well. Not sure if there was a glitch in pricing as I don't recall seeing a Le creuset Dutch oven sale at Nordstrom as low as
half off original price let alone the 9 qt. It was not on sale last year. Then again, I am new to Le Creuset brand. I imagine they either caught the glitch or oversold.
Disappointing for sure. As for the comment left by another reviewer who actually received their Dutch oven, "THESE SILLY REVIEWS ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE DO NOT
REFLECT THE QUALITY OF THE PRODUCT AND TRULY HAVE NO PLACE HERE. JUST DISGRUNTLED PEOPLE WHO DIDN'T GET THEIR WAY." Pot, meet kettle. Pun inte... Show more

This was my first Le Creuset purchase and I must say I was immediately impressed with the quality of the product in that it’s very heavy (cast iron) so it gives the feeling that it
will last a lifetime compared to previous pots I’ve owned from other brands. (Time will tell). However, even though it’s heavy it’s not too heavy that I can’t manipulate it for
cooking and washing. I must admit that when I first read the instructions for care I became a bit intimidated but as I used the pot more I realized those were just precautions
rather than instructions. The size is perfect for meal prep for a single person. The color is truly gorgeous so I often leave it on the counter or stove top just for dis... Show more

I'm sure they would be right along with the rest of us "disgruntled people" in the reviews as well if they "didn't get their way." Even though I do not own the 9qt Dutch oven, I'm very pleased with the quality of my 5.25 qt. I purchased it last year on sale. Although a bit heavy, it's easy to clean. I prefer to hand wash but it's apparently dishwasher safe. I love the ceramic coating and that I don't have to season the cast iron. Heats evenly throughout. Great staple piece to have and to pass on to children. Would love to add the 9qt if it ever goes on sale again.... Show more

So far nothing has stuck permanently to the bottom of the pot (purpose of enamel coating) which makes washing a breeze. Then last but not least, I love the fact that you can easily transfer from stovetop to oven. Normally for dishes that require baking, my kitchen looks like a war zone after prep but using this cuts out so many steps as well as additional cooking utensils/pots/bowls which reduces my clean up work significantly after cooking something like baked Mac and cheese. I’m not a Suzy home-maker kind of person but this pot has made me love cooking and the kitchen a little bit more.... Show more

Every piece a treasure
27 July 2024
About fifteen years ago I discovered the joy of cooking with cast iron enamel pans. I purchased a very inexpensive set that was beautiful, but cumbersome, dead heavy, and rather poor quality, suffering chips and worn enamel in short order. But it was enough for me to fall in love with cast iron enamel, and I decided to invest in Le Creuset. After getting my first pan, I was hooked; I love the way the heat radiated throughout the pan, evenly cooking food and keeping it hot from stove to table, so I continued collecting pieces. With so many beautiful colors, naturally it was impossible to stick with just one, so I now have several different colors in my collection, and I probably have too many. I display them on a metal étagière in the kitchen. My favorite piece is ... MoreAbout fifteen years ago I discovered the joy of cooking with cast iron enamel pans. With so many beautiful colors, naturally it was impossible to stick with just one, so I now have several different colors in my collection, and I probably have too many. I display them on a metal étagière in the kitchen. My favorite piece is the large braiser in Coastal Blue, which is so beautiful that I can’t imagine why they discontinued it. Maybe it didn’t sell. Other favorites colors are Ocean, Meringue, and all the whites. There’s one tomato red Dutch oven, I don’t remember the actual color name, but it’s brighter than Cerise, and I love how it reigns among the white and blue. Oh, did I mention they are all such a pleasure for both cooking and serving? Yeah. And I’ve never had a problem cleaning up, even on the few occasions when food got burned on the bottom. Every piece still looks beautiful! Maybe it’s because with so many pieces, no single one gets constant use, but I’ve also heard from people who use one pan for everything, and I totally get it. If you’re not squeamish about a little lifting, I heartily recommend you try Le Creuset’s cast iron enamel cookware. Good luck choosing a color.... Show more

Finally Found The Perfect Braiser Dutch Oven
28 June 2024
Spent months trying to find the right size, weight, price, and where it was manufactured! The fact that it's beautiful to look at is a bonus and is an heirloom piece if taken proper care is a huge bonus. I've purchased and returned several other Dutch Ovens and braisers and either the shape is not right or it's way too heavy. It's an investment, even on sale, however I plan on getting decades of use and beautiful and tasty meals that you can only get from cast-iron. Bonus is that this is not only a braiser, but also a shallow Dutch oven that's big enough to hold a 4 pound pork roast.Made a Pork Roast this morning. After browning on all sides, adding beef broth, garlic, onions, and pour in one small can of green tomatillo Salsa. This one is perfect.... Show more

Great for TEA!!!!
3 June 2024
Works great for making loose leaf tea. Tea balls don’t allow the leaves to fully expand, and I like to add slices of fresh ingredients like mint or ginger to my tea. A lot of reviewers complained about coffee grinds escaping the mesh mechanism, but for loose leaf tea this is not a problem. Also I have a warming pad I use (on low) to keep it warm. The manufacturer explicitly says do not use over a direct heat source but I do. My favorite tea evening recipe: chamomile flowers with slices of fresh ginger. My favorite morning/afternoon tea recipe: loose leaf tea (green or black), slices of ginger, tumeric, and a few star anise pods. Leftover tea is great cold for ice tea or sometimes I’ll save it in the fridge for a few days. Once you use this French press + quality ... MoreWorks great for making loose leaf tea. Quality and Style in one!

This kettle is a classic pop of color to my kitchen! Le Creuset makes quality products and in my personal opinion, is a great investment to your home! For those with bad reviews, they clearly did not read the instructions on how to properly use and care for the kettle (i.e - using extremely high heat instead of using low heat.) The kettle heats quickly even with medium to low heat. Always heat your kettle with water in it, and don't let water stand in your kettle when you're finished. Always dry your kettle before storing to avoid rust. I've used this kettle many many times, and have yet to have any issues with it. It does have a phenolic spout cover that will only melt if it is exposed to a direct heat source. It is a bit frustrating to see people writing poor reviews about a quality product because they do not read the instructions and do not properly use it. It is a quality kettle, and if taken care of, should last you for many years to come.... Show more

So versatile and beautiful
11 February 2024
I bought my Round Wide Oven in the the color Merseille, a gorgeous blue. It arrived in perfect shape, and I am in love. This piece is as wide as a 9 quart Dutch oven, but with shorter sides, which is the best of both worlds to me. This means lots of surface area at the bottom for browning, but the sides are short enough for comfortable stirring and easy transfer to the oven or table for serving. The lower sides also make the lid more visible when the pot is on the stove top - an unexpected bonus. This pot is wonderful for braising, sauteeing, stews, casseroles, one pot meals and so much more. I just made Coq au Riesling, and it was a huge hit. I served it straight from the pot, with a large cutting board underneath to protect the table. I am so thrilled with this pot!... Show more

The enamel QUALITY is POOR and DON'T RELY on WARRANT

They will just blame you, that it's your fault. and today I noticed the crack on my Dutch oven. I already know there is no use to ask customer service for help. Also regarding esthetics- it's VERY difficult to keep these pieces interior and exterior clean, I have their brushes and cleaner, but it takes A LOT of time to clean them up to the degree you can not hide them in the closet but actually decorate your interior. So don't waste your money. It does not worth it AT ALL... Show more
