Bought this on sale after falling in love with a Le Creuset oval roaster I received as a gift. Bought this intending to use it for my daily morning eggs (fried, scrambled, or omelettes). However it is not ideal for delicate foods like eggs. No matter how much oil you use, it is no where near non-stick. I’ve been using this 2-3 times a week for 8 months now and it still looks brand new (I’ve been putting it in the dishwasher that often too). This isn’t a fry an egg and it slides off onto the plate type of pan so don’t set your expectation on that. I usually start off by browning my meat, then sautéing onions and garlic, then deglazing the pan with wine or broth and incorporating that into the dish somehow. I also LOVE that the interior is black so I don’t have to be bothered with the discoloration from cooking.This truly has been one of the best investments I’ve made. I recommend this over all the other trendy pans.

I have several Le Creuset items that I love. I was excited to purchase this small fry pan. I read all of the directions to cook properly. The first time I used it I cooked some skin on salmon in olive oil. The fish pulled some of the pans finish off. Now I have what looks like a brand new pitted pan!! I am very unhappy with this. I have cooked in cast iron for years and never had this happen. I have continued to cook in it and it seems to work fine, but the pitted marks are still there and it is disappointing as these pans are not cheap.

For the past 15 years I have been using a titanium cookware set I purchased which was very expensive and for the most part had been excellent. I needed a new frying pan and started research on the best product and function and found the market is flooded with confusion information about non stick cookware. So I bought a stainless steel one and it’s ok. Upon further research and lots of videos I discovered enamelled cast iron. I always thought this product to be out of my price range. But after years of not finding the right products, I decided to follow Le creuset and watch for sales. I bought my first piece in Black Friday and I am so happy with it. I will slowly add more to my collection and not buy anything else.
I love this skillet. It's the perfect size for a quick toasted cheese sandwich or a couple of eggs. I have several sizes of the Le Creuset skillets with the black enamel interior and I love them. They aren't "nonstick," but if you use them properly, they're the next best thing. They are much easier to maintain than plain cast iron - just a quick wash with dish soap and a good rinse and dry and you're all set. Just remember to preheat, use medium or medium low heat, and always use some butter or oil. Unlike nonstick pans, you won't have to replace this one after a couple of years. All in all, a terrific little skillet.

This new frying pan surpassed them all for daily sautéing and frying, it’s simply marvelous. Le Creuset coating has GREATLY improved, can’t emphasize it enough. Don’t know what they did to it but the difference is very tangible, and for the better. Almost hard to believe any product has changed for the better, usually it’s the opposite these days. I was so excited to get this skillet. However I’ve been totally disappointed by it. Ever since the first use, everything I tried to cook got stuck to the pan, all simple daily family dishes, from scrambled eggs, tstir-fried veggies, to fried rice… I dare not try cooking tofu in this awful pan. I followed the cleaning/caring instructions word to word since receiving it. I’m just perplexed how Le Creuset can fail me like this. TBH this is the first pan I own in this particular Le Creuset collection.
I love this skillet. I've had the 10.25-inch one for a number of years and couldn't be happier with it, so I finally bought the larger size. I know these skillets aren't technically "nonstick," but they're the next best thing. If you're careful to preheat the pan, keep the heat under control, and use a little oil or butter, nothing sticks. Cleanup is easy with a little hot water and a nylon scrubber. I'm sure this skillet and all my other Le Creuset pieces will outlive me!
This is our 3rd Creuset purchase, and just like the first two, the quality and craftsmanship are of the highest standard. We love this cast iron skillet! It cooks stuff so well, and the non-stick enameled surface is exactly what it says it is. It is a heavy skillet (we have the larger diameter one), especially when full of food, so keep that in mind. But there's the extra handhold on the side to help with the handling of it. The only downside is that the main handle gets hot after the skillet has been on the element for a while. But otherwise, this is an excellent product!
