Purchased because this is much lighter than the Le Creuset cast iron casseroles that I own (still functioning well after 30 years) and needed a quality pan as I always sear meat before cooking. Only used it once and browning and simmering was easy as was hand washing it (it can be put in dishwasher but I think you have to season it again). I also like the wide surface area and versatility of the shape and size. For those who find cast iron too heavy, this is ideal.

This casserole is a great addition to the kitchen. Good size cooks food evenly great for family cooking easy to clean. Comes with a glass lid making this item look perfect. Very pleased my purchase.

I LOVE the large size of this. I bought it for bigger meals than my current 'go-to' pan, a Le Creuset 3.6 L Toughened Non Stick Braiser can accommodate. Just wish this size came in non-stick finish as well. I definitely need to use more oil and lower temps. when cooking, though with time I'm sure I'll adapt!

Recently moved home and needed some lighter pans as I have arthritis. Used LCruset for many years so decided on LCruset stainless steel ones this time. I decided to invest in a Braiser that was not cast iron and after much research landed on this one which I love. It is light, distributes heat evenly and goes from stovetop to oven easily. Would highly recommend.
Great pan but all my LeCreuset stainless pans are wonderful.Worth the cost but I can only buy when on sale. Actually replacing my old LeCreuset enamel pans bought 30 years ago. They just were too heavy for me, this, stainless are perfect for me and cook as well as the enamel ones!

Osso buco, risotto, boeuf bourguignon just for starters in the first week. I love the massive flat surface for browning and the capacity is just right for a 4-6 servings.I love that it barely buzzes on my induction stove, too!
Wanted a lightweight casserole dish to replace my Le Creuset cast iron one which is so heavy to lift in and out of the oven. This one is just what I was looking for, nice looking, lightweight and big enough for a family casserole. It can be used on the hob as well as in the oven. It's such a versatile pan. Quite expensive but it should last for years.
