bought this for my new flat and was excited! got the limited edition yellow which is no longer available.. its terrible. it completely sticks when cooking, burns super quick to the pan. and wow dont get me started on cleaned. i had to soak for 2 days and scrub both days to get off eggs!! couldnt believe it. for over £200 id expect better. i should of returned it as faulty, what a waste of money. used my birthday money to purchase and its just a super disappointment.

A wonderful pan that I have been using for a few months now and have cooked all from a Full English to a Meat Stew in it.Please ignore the negative comments about the pan being sticky as this is simply not correct. The Pan needs to be treated correctly and seasoned to get the best results. This issue not a Tefal from Argos but a wonderful cooking implement that will out live you if treated and used correctly.

I've had this pan for a few months, 28cm version. It's versatile given its depth. The wooden handle makes it both beautiful and practical. It is very heavy but that's to be expected with cast iron.Other reviews mention sticking but that's normal with cast iron - using enough oil and heating it up gradually can really help.Mine is very easy to clean. If food gets stuck, normally soaking for a bit and a gentle wash with a sponge works well.

The skillet came with the wooden handle damaged where it adjoins the cast iron skillet. The shipping carton showed no damage so I assume it was a manufacturing problem. I need to return the skillet but don’t feel I should pay for shipping. I’d also like the replacement skillet in cobalt blue, not sea salt. Please advise my next steps. Thank you.
This is the best pan ever! While it is on the heavier side, there is no need to move it once brought up to heat. Medium on an electric glass cooktop will do the trick and the constant heat throughout the pan is a game changer! For those used to thinner, non-stick pans it will take a little getting used to but once you get the hang of it, the difference in cook quality is unbelievable.
Ignore all the low star reviews - I think those reviews are compared to a non-stick frying pan. This is not a non-stick frying pan, it is a cast iron pan. You need to 'season' a cast iron pan (google it if you don't know how to season a cast iron pan). If you don't 'season' it food will stick. Once you season it, it is the most incredible pan!! I've literally used it pretty much every single day since I bought it back in April! I also bought the pan lid. It's an investment, but worth every penny!!!
Hi all! I purchased this cast iron frypan with wooden handle 3 weeks ago and it was a fantastic choice. This frypan is solid and retains heat phenomenally. You only need to fry on a low/medium heat for the best results. I brought this in the meringue shade and it's a beautiful piece of cookware. Many more purchases will be happening in the near future. I did alot of research on cast iron cookware and le creuset came out on top. Yes, it's higher end but this will last a life time, if used correctly and cleaned as per le creuset instructions. One extremely happy purchaser. The website is easy to navigate with exceptional customer service and fast delivery.Splurge on these cast iron cookware...you will not regret it. Oh and the flavour is amplified from using cast iron.
I bought the frypan with the wooden handle about a month ago and I have been using it every day to cook my breakfast. I fry eggs, spinach, mushrooms and cherry tomatoes in it. The reason I bought this frypan is because I was searching for something long-lasting and non-toxic. I was using a Tefal non-stick frypan before purchasing the frypan from Le Creuset and I have had to get rid of it because of a brown deposit forming on the frypan called carbonization and despite my best efforts cleaning the pan with bicarb soda and vinegar the deposit remains. In addition, I read that enamelled cast iron is a non-toxic coating and that metal cannot leach into the food. My experience cooking with Le Creuset frypan has been good. In addition, I read that enamelled cast iron is a non-toxic coating and that metal cannot leach into the food. My experience cooking with Le Creuset frypan has been good. I cook on a lower heat setting, low to medium and I have not had any problems with food sticking to the pan. I let it rest on the stove before washing it and I wash it in hot water and I use a tooth brush to scrape off bits of food. I dry it thoroughly and leave it on the stove to be used again. It is a bit heavier to handle and that is something to get to used to. Otherwise, I love the bamboo green colour and the longer wooden handle that earlier versions of this frypan did not have. I definitely think that this is an essential design feature of more practical cooking and manoeuvrability of this frypan. I look forward to cooking with this frypan for my entire lifetime and handing it down to my niece. Thank you for a quality product! Regards, Claudia
There really is only one choice for cast iron cookware. This is so simple a design and a delight to use (but a bit expensive). Replaced 30 year old one and expect it will outlast us. Can be a bit challenging at first especially when the oil and temperature are just a bit out. Most food cooks without a problem but it can be a bit tricky with skin-on fish.
Spent few months reading reviews, product info etc ensuring i made a good choice. Pan was seasoned, never overheated and yet everything either sticks to it ( i mean everything! ) or burns if the heat is higher. The surface does not get evenly heated so one part is always hotter than the other. Food that gets stuck gets very difficult to wash off even after a night in water. @JohnLewis - i wish to replace it as not sure if this pan is defective. Real dissapointment for such expensive price.
