Beautiful pot in a torn box.
Beautiful pot in the beautiful Oyster color. I picked it up locally because the 6.75 quart pot is super heavy. After I took it home, I noticed that the le Creuset box was ripped and torn. As I bought it as a birthday gift for my daughter and did not want to exchange it due to its heaviness, I requested wrapping paper from my local Nordstrom. I was told that it would cost me $5 because I was a Nordstrom credit card holder ($10 for non-cardholders). They offered me a free box but it was way oversized by a foot.Ridiculous as I am at the Influencer status level and have been a customer 10+ years. Nordstrom really has to think through their changing customer service rules. Nordstrom wrapping paper doesn't have to be thick and super-expensive. Remember when their ... Cooking in Style and Ease
This was my first Le Creuset purchase and I must say I was immediately impressed with the quality of the product in that it’s very heavy (cast iron) so it gives the feeling that it will last a lifetime compared to previous pots I’ve owned from other brands. (Time will tell). However, even though it’s heavy it’s not too heavy that I can’t manipulate it for cooking and washing. I must admit that when I first read the instructions for care I became a bit intimidated but as I used the pot more I realized those were just precautions rather than instructions. The size is perfect for meal prep for a single person. The color is truly gorgeous so I often leave it on the counter or stove top just for display. So far nothing has stuck permanently to the bottom of the pot ... The size is perfect for meal prep for a single person. The color is truly gorgeous so I often leave it on the counter or stove top just for display. So far nothing has stuck permanently to the bottom of the pot (purpose of enamel coating) which makes washing a breeze. Then last but not least, I love the fact that you can easily transfer from stovetop to oven. Normally for dishes that require baking, my kitchen looks like a war zone after prep but using this cuts out so many steps as well as additional cooking utensils/pots/bowls which reduces my clean up work significantly after cooking something like baked Mac and cheese. I’m not a Suzy home-maker kind of person but this pot has made me love cooking and the kitchen a little bit more.... Show more

Every single pan I own
About fifteen years ago I discovered the joy of cooking with cast iron enamel pans. I purchased a very inexpensive set that was beautiful, but cumbersome, dead heavy, and rather poor quality, suffering chips and worn enamel in short order. But it was enough for me to fall in love with cast iron enamel, and I decided to invest in Le Creuset. After getting my first pan, I was hooked; I love the way the heat radiated throughout the pan, evenly cooking food and keeping it hot from stove to table, so I continued collecting pieces. With so many beautiful colors, naturally it was impossible to stick with just one, so I now have several different colors in my collection, and I probably have too many. I display them on a metal étagière in the kitchen. My favorite piece is ... MoreAbout fifteen years ago I discovered the joy of cooking with cast iron enamel pans. I display them on a metal étagière in the kitchen. My favorite piece is the large braiser in Coastal Blue, which is so beautiful that I can’t imagine why they discontinued it. Maybe it didn’t sell. Other favorites colors are Ocean, Meringue, and all the whites. There’s one tomato red Dutch oven, I don’t remember the actual color name, but it’s brighter than Cerise, and I love how it reigns among the white and blue. Oh, did I mention they are all such a pleasure for both cooking and serving? Yeah. And I’ve never had a problem cleaning up, even on the few occasions when food got burned on the bottom. Every piece still looks beautiful! Maybe it’s because with so many pieces, no single one gets constant use, but I’ve also heard from people who use one pan for everything, and I totally get it. If you’re not squeamish about a little lifting, I heartily recommend you try Le Creuset’s cast iron enamel cookware. Good luck choosing a color.... Show more

Excellent multifunction large Chef's Oven
Just received today, and I can tell this will be a jack of many trades. Its large, round, and sloped sides allow it to fill multiple roles: Oven, stovetop wok, braiser, slow cooker, and soup/pasta pot. Big capacity with 7.5 quarts. It's substantial but not overly heavy either, which is nice. However, older chefs may prefer a smaller, lighter piece for everyday use. Love the Deep teal color, which sadly is being discontinued. One nitpick, there was some minor sloppy overspray of the exterior color enamel on the interior of the piece I received. It was minor pin sized splatter of the exterior color enamel. I do not know if this is common to this model, or a one-off, but none of my other Le Creuset pieces have had any accidental splatter of enamel like that. Even ... Finally Found The Perfect Braiser Dutch Oven
Spent months trying to find the right size, weight, price, and where it was manufactured! The fact that it's beautiful to look at is a bonus and is an heirloom piece if taken proper care is a huge bonus. I've purchased and returned several other Dutch Ovens and braisers and either the shape is not right or it's way too heavy. It's an investment, even on sale, however I plan on getting decades of use and beautiful and tasty meals that you can only get from cast-iron. Bonus is that this is not only a braiser, but also a shallow Dutch oven that's big enough to hold a 4 pound pork roast.Made a Pork Roast this morning. After browning on all sides, adding beef broth, garlic, onions, and pour in one small can of green tomatillo Salsa. Put in oven at 275 for 3 1/2 hours ... This one is perfect.... Show more

I am in love with this pot!
I was gifted with a Le Creuset Dutch in sage green about 15 years ago. I use it often and it seems indestructible so when I wanted to add a new, lifelong piece to my kitchen I knew where to look. I cook for 2 every single day, often 2 to 3 meals, so I need and deserve excellent cookware and my goodness I love this pot! The shallot color is just so elegant and beautiful, I can't stop staring at it, lol, and it's on permanent display on the stove top. We use gas, and always will, and it heats so evenly and holds heat perfectly. Now I'm on a mission to add another piece or two in chiffon pink and maybe Caribbean blue. The mix and match with these gorgeous colors works so well and makes the tiny kitchen we have look so much better. But I love that I won't need to ... Can't wait to make a batch of chicken piccata or Nigella's curry in a hurry in my new baby!... Show more

Ktichen MVP!
Other than my chef's knife, the 6 3/4 qt. Le Creuset Signature Enameled Cast Iron Round Wide Dutch Oven is the single most cherished piece of cookware I own. I own a lot of cookware, but excluding nonstick cooking, the Round Wide Dutch Oven is the one piece of cookware that seems able to do the job of everything else.I can sear steaks and any kind of meat with it if I want. I can make a gumbo or a nice pot of red sauce for spaghetti. I can braise. I can broil. I can poach eggs. I can build a roux or nurse along a gravy. I can roast. Spatchcocked Dutch oven turkey turns out fantastic. And just this weekend I used my Round Wide Dutch Oven to make Pernil, a Puerto Rican pork shoulder roast, that delighted both family and friends. And with its beautiful nectar ... POOR QUALITY/FINISH
I own many LeCreuset dutch ovens and braisers and recently purchased the 6 3/4 QT Round Wide Dutch oven in white. I love the size and lower sides of this dutch oven, however, it came with too many imperfections such as the iron being visible throughout the top of the lid and in the bottom of the pan. Looks like it was due to poor paint spraying and finish. I returned it to the store and the clerk ordered a replacement. When I got the replacement I noticed that they sent me the exact same dutch oven with the same imperfections so I took the second back to the store and was disappointed with the explanation from the store Clerck that the imperfections on the finish appears only on the white colored pans. Too bad that the quality has gone down on LeCreuset products, not worth it for the price.... Show more

So versatile and beautiful
I bought my Round Wide Oven in the the color Merseille, a gorgeous blue. It arrived in perfect shape, and I am in love. This piece is as wide as a 9 quart Dutch oven, but with shorter sides, which is the best of both worlds to me. This means lots of surface area at the bottom for browning, but the sides are short enough for comfortable stirring and easy transfer to the oven or table for serving. The lower sides also make the lid more visible when the pot is on the stove top - an unexpected bonus. This pot is wonderful for braising, sauteeing, stews, casseroles, one pot meals and so much more. I just made Coq au Riesling, and it was a huge hit. I served it straight from the pot, with a large cutting board underneath to protect the table. What an easy way to create a ... YAY, CHIFFON PINK IS BACK 🥳!
First, that BEAUTIFUL CHIFFON PINK COLOR is back! Now for the review. This dutch oven cooks like a dream. It is wide enough to brown short ribs, steak and chicken. It is also deep enough to add a substantial amount of liquid. As with all Le Creuset Dutch ovens, I generally cook on medium to medium low heat because the vessel gets hot quickly and stays hot. The size of 3.75 quarts is a perfect every day size to cook for a family of three. Going directly from the stove top to the oven makes cooking a breeze. As with all signature line Dutch ovens, the larger loop handle is much easier to lift off the stove top and into the oven, as compared to the classic line which has the smaller handles.
