To preface, I love Threshold products, this was given to me as a gift. As an avid home cook, I was excited and hesitant to try the Threshold Cast Iron Dutch Oven to my kitchen essentials because I haven’t owned any of their kitchen appliances and I’ve heard not so great things about their cookware. Moreover, the cleaning process was far more laborious than with other cast iron cookware in my collection. Despite my best efforts, stubborn food residue seemed to cling to the surface, requiring excessive scrubbing and soaking to remove. This not only added extra time to my post-cooking routine but also led to concerns about damaging the seasoning of the Dutch oven over time. Overall, while the Threshold Cast Iron Dutch Oven 6qt may initially seem like a budget-friendly option, its subpar performance ultimately makes it a poor investment for serious home cooks. From inconsistent cooking results to difficult cleaning processes, this Dutch oven fails to live up to the standards expected of cast iron cookware. I would strongly advise looking elsewhere for a more reliable and user-friendly option. One last thing that I forgot to mention… The cast iron cracked after 4 uses while I was cooking!! I’ve never had an issue with any of my cast irons breaking so easily. I would never recommend their cooking appliances, however, everything else is amazing!l

Got the wrong item.

Well….the only thing right was the color. I got a tiny (8oz?) version of this pot for my $400. Very strange. The small box even appeared to have an authentic sticker for the 4.5 qt pot that I ordered. The customer service rep was very nice and refunded my money (after they received the returned mini pot; personally I think they should have just given it to me for the shock of it all. I was pretty stressed about this. ) This was a huge splurge for me, but maybe the universe is sending me a message. I will not be reordering.

Iconic

Le Creuset is iconic! I’ve been collecting it for 40 years and my pieces still look brand new! The quality is amazing. I actually have pieces from the factory before the name changed to Le Creuset! Mine arrived in perfect condition and it arrived quickly. The piece is a really great value and the shipping is more than reasonable given the weight of the cookware! Glad I got a great deal! Very happy! The sea salt color looks beautiful with my other pieces.

Love Le Creuset But Bad Paint Job!

Really what happened to Quality Control? I’m Beyond Disappointed.! Mauve is now Sold Out so now I’m Out! Not a Happy Camper. However I still do recommend Le Creuset but with a decent paint job. And recommend as a Gift but with a better paint job. I Wish I could post pictures of this bad paint job, Open silver cast iron showing and a 3 dimensional glob of mauve paint. It’s all she wanted for Christmas and I jumped right on it early but now they said gone for the rest of the year in this color.

Love, Love Love this Dutch Oven

I debated about size, and finally chose the 5.5 quart one. I think it's perfect for me in preparing recipes thatmake enough for 4 or 5 people. I wouldn't want larger. Usually I'm cooking for just two of us, and I can getenough made for two separate meals, if not three. The weight isn't that heavy, it's easy to handle, pick up,and clean. When you cook with these Le Creuset dutch ovens, you have to modify your use of high heat. I havea gas stove, and I keep the flame at medium to medium low, and many things once heated get turned down toa low simmer. The pan cleans up like new every time. If you let it cool, then fill with water to soak for 5 minutes,whatever is on the pan will come off with no effort at all. I hand wash, then dry the pan. With this kind of careful but not difficult care, the pan will continue to look beautifuland like new. I bought my pan in the beautiful dark teal color, which seems to now be discontinued. I alreadyhad a bunch of wood and silicone cooking utensils, and I don't plan to use metal except perhaps a soup ladle,which wouldn't scratch the pan anyway. The ceramic interior is very strong, but I don't want to risk scratches.This pan and this size is highly recommended as it's big enough but a manageable size and weight.

Have had this Dutch Oven since January and I can't say how happy I am that I purchased it-I use it a LOT. As David V. refers to the GBD (golden brown deliciousness) I enjoy it every time that I use this, especially browning meat after sautéing onions and red bell peppers. Amazed at how well it cooks rice. Perfect for the winter months-but the deliciousness isn't stopping there! I'm going to use it this Summer for steaming clams, lobster and our delicious local sweet corn. And although I'm in New England, I spent some time in the "Low Country" so a Low Country Boil will also be on the menu.Bought the Cerise (cherry) color and it matches my kitchen perfectly. Easy pay sealed the deal during the holiday season! Only Dutch Oven I Own

I own the 2.75 Quart Oval Dutch Oven. This is the only piece in my collection that is classified by LeCreuset as a Dutch Oven. The larger pots that I own are the Oval Casserole, the Sauteuse & the Square Cocotte. I cook mainly for myself so these pieces are large enough for me to do my weekly batch cooking. The 2.75 Quart Oval Dutch Oven holds enough meat to roast for several dinners for me. I also use it for spaghetti dishes. I love the shape and it is a wonderfully useful piece in my collection.

Perfect gift!

I bought this casserole pot in the 20cm size in Navy for a wedding present and the recipients were absolutely thrilled! The navy is a really lovely dark deep blue colour and has a shine finish. It comes in a substantial Le Creuset box which protects the product well. I have my own Le Creuset pot at home for years and it is the best cookware purchase I've ever made. I use it pretty much every day; they are so hard-wearing, wash well and the non-stick is outstanding. I highly recommend these pots and will for sure be buying more in different colours/sizes in the future as I expand my cookware collection!

Quality That Lasts!

I am a fan of this product!! Investing in the Le Creuset Signature Oval Dutch Oven was one of the best decisions I made for my kitchen. The build quality is exceptional, and the cool mint color is simply gorgeous. The 6.75QT size is perfect for cooking larger meals or batches, and the versatility of this Dutch oven is unmatched. It's a true workhorse in the kitchen, and the durable enamel coating ensures easy cleaning. This is a product that not only meets but exceeds expectations. Awesome!!!

So many uses in our kitchen!

The quality in these products are evident throughout. They are heavy, sturdy and well made. They are practically indestructible which to me makes it worth the money because they last such a long time. There are so many uses for it: I use it for everything! On the hob, in the oven for roasting. It's like a one pot wonder. I would definitely get more Le Creuset products going forward. I love the variations of colours they come in too, although I have the classic orange.
