After seeing a lot of positive reviews and needing a new frying pan I decided to purchase this product. I have always had non stick pans and wanted to purchase something that would last a lifetime (like my John Lewis stainless steal saucepans- so far going strong for 6 years and my dads are going on 26!)I had done abit of research on which frying pan, seeing that stainless steel are typically more difficult to work with (re not sticking) so I opted for a cast iron pan instead.I had minimal knowledge on how to look after this pan but understood that if you correctly "season" and wash the pan it will hold its non stick quality. Therefore, if you are considering this pan you must do your research on how to look after it or you will hate it.The first time I cooked ... MoreAfter seeing a lot of positive reviews and needing a new frying pan I decided to purchase this product. Therefore, if you are considering this pan you must do your research on how to look after it or you will hate it.The first time I cooked with it, everything stuck and I kept accidentally flicking things out the pan due to its shallow sides. - this was my error for using the pan to cook gnocchi, however, something to note if you wanted an all rounder pan this is not it.Once I got the hang of using the pan (a lot of oil, seasoning after use, drying thoroughly) it has been a dream.I got the black colour so that it won't discolour over time and it feels sturdy and well made (like all le Creuset!)However, it is extremely heavy. I am fairly strong but due to the short handle length and weighting of this pan it is almost impossible to pick up with one hand when cooking. The handle also gets very hot if cooking on the hob for long periods of time.As noted previously, this is not an all rounder pan. This pan is best used for meat and fish as it gives a lovely crisp coating without burning. If you use this pan for smaller food such as gnocchi or mixed veg be prepared for it to flick onto the floor. It is expensive for a pan however, it truly will last a lifetime and is much healthier and safer than non stick pans.Cleaning it is also very easy! Some hot water and a scrub daddy do the trick!

Another beautiful piece from Le Creuset! The Chambray is so pretty and a true grey/blue tone compared to the much lighter Coastal Blue. The 26cm size is great for cooking smaller meals for two to three/four people compared to the 30cm which I use for four or more people. If you're trying to decide between a shallow casserole and the round casseroles, I'd recommend the shallow casserole as the wide, flat bases make them a more versatile option. I find I use them more regularly for everything from slow cooked casseroles to frying, sautéing and searing. I also find enamelled cast iron cleans up really easily too, so that's a bonus. I look forward to cooking with this gorgeous casserole for years to come!

I couldn't wait to get this baby out of the box, and use it. I have another Le Creuset larger skillet that is now 44 years old. It is still fantastic. I love it and use it often. This purchase was because I thought I needed a smaller Le Creuset skillet, as well. It is also fantastic. Heats up to very hot with the electricity only turned up to medium. The lips on the skillet make it easy to pour food. The double handles are also very good. It was a shame my husband took to it and burnt sugar on the base. I am working on cleaning it without destroying the patina. Highly recommend this pan, but for inexperienced cast iron pot users, it may take a little while to get used to the characteristics.
My Husband & I own many pieces of the Le Creuset Cookware & accessories. And we use them often to cook a variety of meals like Spanish Paella đ„ & many Italian Pasta đ dishes,Beef Stroganoff just to name a few dishes. But,I bought this 10 inch Cast IronLe Creuset Skillet for my son who just built his first Home!!!đ And I plan to buy more Le Creuset pieces for my son. Le Creuset is Great Quality And Great for Gifts!!! This 10 inch Skillet is Great for Quick Meals likeGrilled Cheese Sandwichâs,& cooking meats, onions & garlic for dishes. You need Excellent Cookware likeLe Creuset to cook your meals!!!đ€©
I purchased this skillet lecreuset.ca back in Late November 2022, received it by Late December 2023. I have used it a total of 3 times by February 2023, under low-medium heat, as I used it to make pancakes, eggs, and sautee some veggies. Upon the third use, (veggies), I noticed the smallest chip in the enamel within the pan. I contacted customer support, thinking that Le Creuset would stand behind their product. They do not.Rather than admit to a small manufacturer defect and send a replacement or repair, they rejected the warranty claim, and instead try to get me to repurchase the item. This isn't some cheap pan - this is a roughly $300 pan, which should come with a limited lifetime warranty. This isn't some cheap pan - this is a roughly $300 pan, which should come with a limited lifetime warranty. Who knew that in their eyes lifetime meant less than 3 months? In contrary, I have used my Staub braiser countless times with no issues and easier clean up.I'm going to take this as the lesson it is - Le Creuset might have been premium company in the past, they quality and customer service have diminished tremendously. When looking to purchase between Le Creuset and Staub (their main market competitor) I know where my money will be going.
I debated about size, and finally chose the 5.5 quart one. I think it's perfect for me in preparing recipes thatmake enough for 4 or 5 people. I wouldn't want larger. Usually I'm cooking for just two of us, and I can getenough made for two separate meals, if not three. The weight isn't that heavy, it's easy to handle, pick up,and clean. When you cook with these Le Creuset dutch ovens, you have to modify your use of high heat. I havea gas stove, and I keep the flame at medium to medium low, and many things once heated get turned down toa low simmer. The pan cleans up like new every time. If you let it cool, then fill with water to soak for 5 minutes, whatever is on the pan will come off with no effort at all. I hand wash, then dry the pan. With this kind of careful but not difficult care, the pan will continue to look beautifuland like new. I bought my pan in the beautiful dark teal color, which seems to now be discontinued. I alreadyhad a bunch of wood and silicone cooking utensils, and I don't plan to use metal except perhaps a soup ladle, which wouldn't scratch the pan anyway. The ceramic interior is very strong, but I don't want to risk scratches. This pan and this size is highly recommended as it's big enough but a manageable size and weight.
I got the product today. Online the color on my device looks like it has a pink undertone. The reality is it looks like the meringue color display instead. A mushroomy biege. It is not an attractive color to me. But the price was excellent and heavily discounted for the 9 inch size at time of purchase. It is a handy size but it just doesn't fit well stacked between sizes of my ancient cream interior glaze small (22cm) and large skillet (26cm). These pre date the current classic skillet. I've also got a very small (16cm) one if those and I like this signature shape over the other two types I have. The workmanship on this one could be better, the glazing over the lettering looks crude and pinholed. However, the helper handle is an excellent feature and 9 inch is large ... MoreI got the product today. Online the color on my device looks like it has a pink undertone. I've also got a very small (16cm) one if those and I like this signature shape over the other two types I have. The workmanship on this one could be better, the glazing over the lettering looks crude and pinholed. However, the helper handle is an excellent feature and 9 inch is large enough to do a two person dish. The helper handle is sized large enough to use a pot holder securely. The advantage of the black satin finish is it does not discolor. It is not a substitute for a no stick. You have to use butter or olive oil with almost anything. Makes excellent frittata with nice browned bottom crust.
This is not a 10.25 inch pan. I don't know of anyone that cooks up the sides of any skillet. The bottom measures 8 inches, so that's what this is, an 8 inch pan. Only prep before use, per instructions, was to wash in hot soapy water. Bacon and eggs stuck on med low heat, WHAT? I've cooked with cast iron before, never had sticking problems. Soaking for a few minutes in hot soapy water released all food, but it never should have stuck in the first place. Not happy, I've longed for this type of cookware for years, such a huge letdown. I'll stick with what I already have, money wasted, should have read the reviews. To all that have had success, very happy for you.
The quality, like all Le Creuset is amazing. It DOES take some getting used to, and admittedly Iâm not 100% there yet! Itâs the whole low and slow thing. Medium heat is like a high heat, so it requires low-medium heat and it takes longer than your average frypan. It is not non stick, you need to use oil, butter etc. As long as you read the instructions and follow directions (try to ignore everything youâve ever known using other frypans), youâll get there. It is a process though, so donât give up! They're a beautiful looking pan and the flavour they give your food is so good. Theyre an investment, not only money but time and effort learning how to use them but worth it all. I love the fact Iâll have it forever.
